wow

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

this amp was a risk when i bought it having never herd of phoenix gold before and i am very very glad i took the risk. they very very easily overpower my two 12" subs and i have to keep the head unit at -7. well worth the money

Good amp at a great price

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I got this amp because the Price is cheap and the company is good. Im running a re audio se sub and have the gain at 85% the amp doesnt get hot i ran it off a stock radio for now and used the low pass that is has built in it all the other good brands are about 150 and up over the price of this one with less power so i would get this again great amp

good product

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

have owned this product for a while now, and it really powers my subs, only ting i dont like is when i turn the HU on and it powers the amp on, the amp makes a loud clicking noise, dont really like that but it doesnt affect performance, not sure exactly why it makes the clicking noise eather, oh wel... i still would take this over an alpine or infinity anyday, great performince to price ratio!!! good buy!!

This is a great amp. not only did i get fast delivery, the product is awesome. i have two cerwin vega '12's that sound so nice. There are no cons that i have about this amp. it is exactly what i was looking to get. this is a true BASS amp. I almost want to get another one because the price is right.i am looking forward to more great deals from sonic.

Great amp for the Price

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This amp great for the price. I have two 10 inch sony xplodes and this amp pushes them like nothing. I could not belive the price for this amp and expect the performance, but d*** this is a deal this amp pushes and makes your subs hit. It has true power, Im very happy with this purchase, if your looking for an amp for a good price this is it. If you have knowledge for amps you know that phoenix gold is at the top and this amp is clearly one of the best that I ever own.

Great amp, wouldn't trade it for anything else.

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

Have used some great amps over the years, including a Rockford Fosgate one that I believe can't even come close to this one in value and performance. Though i haven't heard some extreme lows (probably because this runs my only sub I have on the whole system), it can make my 12" Pioneer Gold pound pretty well. I have moved this to a couple different vehicles and never gets hot where its at and that sub can handle 1,000 watts and I've never even put the gain up on this thing and almost blew the sub when it was it's break-in stage. This thing has never disappointed me, spent alot of time finding the right amp and this one was perfect. DON'T HESITATE, BUY THIS AMP YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

It's worth it

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

Oh man. I got my shipment of this right quick and slapped this baby in... and oh man I'll tell you, I'M GOING DEAF. Tell you guys man, if you want a good pack of punch, go ahead and get this. Tune it right, it stays cool like crazy. It's worth it. I'm definitely picking up more things from Sonic Electronix.

Phoenix Gold V8001

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

this amp is the best ting that i have bought in a long time and for a price that i could not beat. I'm thinking about buying another. This time a four channel for my mids and highs.

Good amp, great price

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

definitely one of the easier amps to install due to the power connector style, the fuses are 3x30A not 3x35. Dialing in the sensitivity can be touchy/annoying. other than that, the sound quality is good, i have it pushing 2 JBL 1004D, and I can tell it can overpower them with relative ease.

great amp

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

ive always know phoenix gold to make great quality products, after my last amp fried i needed a new one and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was going to buy a sony from b*** b** until I started looking online and found this one. I paid less for a better brand name and better quality amp. I haven't had any problems at all and it sounds a whole lot better then my last amp.

Good amp, but not feature rich

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This amp is pretty decent, I use it to power a JL8W7, and does get it to hit pretty hard. I've compared it with a Memphis 500 watt amp and it sounds fairly similar. The Memphis' power is underrated and PG's power may be a bit overstated. Here are the pros and cons.

PRO's
-Outstanding price point
-Slick black and chrome body
-Decent amount of power
-Variably adjustable X-over, bassboost, and input gain

CON's
-Remote bass knob is optional at $35
-The adjustable knobs are plastic and the flathead groove is not very deep ( difficult to turn at times compared with amps that have metal adjustment knobs)
-No infrasonic filter

In retrospect, I wouldve sprung an extra 20-30 bucks for an amp with metal adjustment knobs had I known these were plastic because I tweak my system a lot. However if you're a set it and forget it type, and don't need the bass control upfront or the infrasonic filter, than this amp should keep you happy.

**If you need the PG bass knob and have a half din space available get the Clarion 7 band EQS746 instead, it includes bass control and much more at a great price.

Simple Ground Pounder

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This amp is straight forward. It has a price that can't be beat and it delivers DEPENDABLE immense power without draining your battery much or getting too hot. There's a very small trade off though..it isn't bridgeable nor is it 1 ohm stable. I've got a DVC L5 2 ohm so it would be extremely nice to have an amp that was 1 ohm stable, but it's such a small trade off that I don't really care too much!

Cheap wires

The following review is for AKIT42, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

The "4" gauge wires in this kit are a little thin for 4 gauge and the speaker wire is way too small for a high powered system. I'd say get this kit, but upgrade the speaker wires to something like an 8 gauge wire for best quality. While you're at it I'd pick up some better RCA's too

Awesome product!!

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

The most power you can get for the price. Clean, nonstop power constantly pushing my Infinity Kappa Perfects (350rms each) easily. Sounds awesome, so much bass!! Sonic Electronix has the best prices around and their customer service is so helpful!

The following review is for AKIT42, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

The kit is pretty good for the price. I just didn't like the 16-gauge speaker wire. The 12-gauge is highly recommended for best sound quality. The power wire was felixable, so that was a good sign that it would last a long time without having some of the internal strands tear with sharp corners. Overall for the price it's a good quality amp wiring kit.

Good value for the money

The following review is for AKIT42, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This product had a lot of high quality wiring and connectors for the money. One thing that I had to source elsewhere was four component speaker wire, but I still think the kit itself is a good value.

Some Dude

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

DO NOT LET THE PRICE FOOL YOU! This is a that can take a beating both in terms of power and durability. I have it hooked up to 2 kenwoods and they drop hard! This amp made them shake so loud that it blew my 6x9's out of their mounting. With the right subs you will set off car alarms. As far as durability, they can handle it. The idiots who hooked up my system somehow had this amp piggy backing off my amp running my components. Needless to say, my amp running my highs blew. But this amp is still running strong.

Clean power and great sq bass from pioneer paid $153

The following review is for V8001, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This amp is sweet and great SQ. I just got this amp a a few weeks ago and currently have pounded my pioneer premiers very hard breaking them in with it and this amp stays very cool after long pounding. This amp hits very hard as well because my front mirror is blurred where I can barely see out of it. I have the amp currently wired at 4ohms 600w rms cea 2006 true watts and the bass is very clean and accurate even with the gain half way up. The best thing about this amp is that its going to last a long time unlike all of the other amps because it has a built in temperature protection so if it gets to hot it will shut off and it has never shut off yet and it has all the other protection features with the digital power supply. I used to own a memphis amp power series 500.l and it had to run at 1ohm to just get to 500w rms and the bass was very unclear and just pure bass no sq on the subs even at low volume. So memphis vs. phoenix gold kinda no brainer phoenix gold wins. My memphis amp cost $300+ from a dealer and my Phoenix gold amp cost $153 thats with shipping because they have a 105% lowest price guarantee 2x cheaper than memphis and thats how phoenix gold is awesome. Only negative thing I could say about this amp is they don't have a subsonic filter but still sounds way better than my memphis with one.

wowww

Well i bought two 12inch Rockford fosgate Punch DVC 400watts RMS each at 4ohms a little while back, these subs are old from like `97 so i was curious how they were going to sound. So i finally decided to get an amp and found this package my friend told me PG makes good stuff so i said what the heck its only 200$ why not. I got it about 5 or 6 days later right on time. And had my two friends put it in. took about 2 hrs and it was well worth the wait! The amp was so easy to tune and wire and all the power cables work great and the bass knob comes in handy to. The subs are rated for 400watts RMS @4ohms and id say this is only pushing maybe 280-300rms and my subs SLAM id hate to hear my subs at 400rms ahah. Makes my radar detector shake on my windshield and all my friends are speechless! But when the music is off and im driving you can hear a slight whinning noise when i hit the gas but i always have the music on so no problems and besides that id say there are really no other cons. Oh i wish they have me a couple more feet of power wire and ground wire is all! Overall great buy get it!!

Good product

The following review is for AKIT42, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

Wires are wires plain and simple. I have this map kit hooked up to a 500/1 JL amp and it powers it fine. Defintly better to get then a JL kit which cost triple to amount of money. One problem with it is the RCA sux and then speaker wire is only 16 gauge, whne you shoudl have 12-8 gauge for subs. But all the power parts to it are perfect
