Better late than never

My brother and I were testing a few 2 channels we had sitting around our bench test at home. We both wanted to get a instant comparison of different manufacturers and see what each different amp had to offer. We tested 4 total 2 channel stereo with no filters selected all amp ran flat with all frequencies being reproduced. We used a cheap pair or JVC 5.25" 2 way speakers to conduct the tests. (4-ohms)
JBL Power P180.2
Xtant 603A (its a 3 channel but we used only 2 channels stereo)
Boston Acoustics GT-24
Phoenix Gold Xenon 200.2
Of the 4 tested the xenon 200.2 actually had the worst specs on paper. with 1% THD and >100 Signal-to-noise ratio. Granted the test was done in-home instead of a car and the signal was run with a Ipod (playing lossless files) and a 3.5 mm- to -RCA cable. With the test every amp had their strengths and weaknesses. But this amp was ahead of the class. From the highs-to the mids and all the way down to the lows (all amps were tested in stereo mode) This amp outperformed all of the others. Very crisp detailed highs (no harsh at all). Very well-rounded Midrange (especially mid-bass and above average vocals) and a Sharp defined bass response. All tests were done using the same equipment. I know all hearing is subjective but this amp just sold me on the now "old school" phoenix gold amps. I can't wait to hook this up in my car stereo or bridged.

songs used in the tests

Usher-Burn
Santana-Black Magic Woman
Justin Timberlake-What goes around comes around
Guns-N-Roses- November Rain

I hope this helps anyone looking into getting one (if you can find it) or is deciding on weather to run it stereo or not.

xenon way to go

I own two xenon 200.2 one is powering dynaudio system 340 and it sounds great very dynamic at all frequencies! the second will be powering another set in the rear of the car.
If you can find any xenon amps buy them you won't be disappointed! I also own two xenon 600.1 and they pound my my jl 10w'7s with hard clean low end.
