Great purchase! Great Price!

I replace my factory unit for this in dash unit... Don't know why I waited so long! The unit looks Good and sounds even better and I even installed it myself.

first time replacing a stereo head unit

The wiring harness was intimidating to see not know anything about them. Thanks all you You Tubers that provided general insturction. There is no spcific insturction for my combination of vechiel and new head unit. I set up the harness to be connected and got to work. After about an hour of carful sodering, heat shrinking and zip tying, I had a one inch think twelve inch long harness that needed to be plugged in. I had to add a steering wheel control harness, voltage converter harness, and bluetooth mic, usb and aux out plugs.. I am very, very pleased with the installation and the operation of the new stereo unit. I stream pandora every day, my kids have created thumb drives with their own music and my wife can now play her CDs from the 80. (some are mine). not sure if this is apporpriate to mention here but the park brake bypass works great, (no, not a relay).

the best head unit

I have to say this is my best car stereo unit i ever own. All the feature work on this deck. Usually when i buy other car stereo brand. There's always problem. like volume knob goes out, or memory keep losing setting. I'm glad i bought pioneer and i wish i would of went with them from the start. This head unit is SEXY.

The only con i have to say about this deck is the video quality is ok when watching movies. I was hoping the picture was HD but it ok. The high quality sound, features and look of the stereo make up for it.

Love the radio

Pioneer makes a great system. I really like all the features this deck has. The only thing I would like to see improved is the microphone clarity for making and receiving calls.

Everything they said it would be in the product review.Solid dependable system however would like to see a little change in the way that the system looks.

Nice price for the product

This deck is very nice and user friendly with some really nice features. It installs neatly with not a whole lot of wires from the rear like some other decks have the camera feature is nice and so is the app mode. I use motion x GPS with mine how ever when the navigation screen is mirroring your phone you only have volume up and down you can't switch tracks that's is a big flaw but other then that it's a nice product.

very nice unit

I installed this deck myself , it wasnt too hard with the wire harness that came with it for my truck. I had problems figuring out the back up camera i was plugging it into the " video in" slot in the back of the head unit , turns out it goes in the r/c in " slot. Hope that info helps someone out there.
I am extremly happy with this deck . I am still waiting for sonic's tech deptartment to call me back ( 3 weeks later) gotta work on that one sonic. But all in all great products .

Excellent Stero

Love the unit. Phone feature is excellent, blue tooth works without flaw, lots of adjustments for sound and lots of power.

THE BEST HEAD UNIT

Love it !

Pioneer has made it so easy to get into one of their units for your ride with pricing, options and ease of installation. I bought the Pioneer AVH-P3400BH for my 06 Nissan frontier, it was truly just a plug and play installation. The stock one came out and the AVH-P3400BH slid right in even used the stock brackets. No adapters or optional trim needed, looks fantastic. Thanks Sonic, your pricing and ease of purchasing is hard to beat.

great unit

This is a great unit. Streams bluetooth audio (Spotify) and pandora from my android. Still waiting on my 32GB flash drive to keep in all the time. The unit itself sounds great in my f150 supercrew.

Couldnt get to my parking brake wire, so i just put it on a toggle switch connected to ground. I wasnt going to connect it to anything because I don't care about viewing video while driving, but it opens up more options for bluetooth and more importantly the dimmer. When your headlights are on it dims it far too much and you cant adjust picture settings unless its in 'park' mode.

Great quality for the money! the HD radio is definitely worth the extra money.
the user interface, if not intuitive, is easy to get used to. Bluetooth syncs w/ my iphone automatically. Bluetooth calls are pretty clear, for bluetooth.
Sound quality is excellent!!!!!

Great product

I am extremely happy with my pioneer avh-p3400bh it is really easy to useand preforms flawlessly.

Lots of great features

This head unit is feature packed and easy to use. I use the iPod mode the most, which works great with playing music, podcasts, and any kind of streaming audio in Safari or any other app. I only wish that the iPod mode would let you rate songs currently playing as you can on the iPhone display. However, the Pandora mode works great and gives me all the controls I nor ally have to up/down thumb, skip, and change station.

The audio quality is great with the stock speakers in my 07 Eclipse. Good enough that I don't feel the need to upgrade them right away. I use the custom EQ mode to fine tune the sound, since the stock speakers seem to have an unlevel response curve, IMO.

The UI is easy to work through using the touch screen. You can lightly tap it for response. You can drag your finger to scroll, but I've found this to cause the scrolling to jump a bit when you let go. It just seems like they could have polished that part if they were going after an Apple-like experience.

I use the hands free talk mode frequently and it's great. You should be aware that the microphone will pick up some background road noise if your car is not highly insulated. E.g. Driving on a concrete highway causes the most noise and most conversations are difficult or impossible for the other end to understand. When stopped, people can hardly tell i'm in a car. The Eclipse is very noisy on the road, so your mileage may vary.

BUY THE PIONEER SAT SET UP NOT THE JVC THAT IS LISTED

This is a great product just installed in a 2003 F150. Had to mod the opening for the radio to fit but all good.

great dvd player

I purchased this unit, even tho its no discontinued I would reccommend this to anyone.. I have since replaced it with newer model and bigger screen, but it is now being installed into a family members car for more enjoyment!

Pioneer

This radio replaced a very lacking stock radio in my wife's toyota matrix. I would highly recommend this stereo. The stock speakers have really come to life, although I will be replacing those in the near future.

I love this unit! It's price is unbeatable, compared to the average price it is to purchase this unit in Canada. Shipping was ridiculously fast! (I had it in 4 business days) I love everything about the unit. I installed it in my 2008 Subaru Impreza and it was one of the best purchases i made besides buying the car. The only thing I dislike is that i recently purchased an Iphone 5 and certain features involving Blu-tooth play back dont work from the module such as skip track. however, I hear there is an update that will fix this! Would recommend to any and everyone to purchase this unit!

Excellent head unit

This is an excellent head unit for the price. I also looked at the 4400BH but decided the 7" screen was not worth the additional price. Bluetooth works great.

Best head unit

This Pioneer head unit is the best I have ever had. I previously had a single din Pioneer head unit and it was great also, but with all the features and adjustments that can be made with this unit makes this unit great.

Great Head Unit

I ordered my Pioneer head unit on a Saturday night, and received it on a Wednesday the following week. This Pioneer system is awesome! It makes the whole stereo sound way better than what it was. I would definitely recommend this product. Lots of cool things to do on here and very easy to navigate

Great Bang for the Buck

This head unit has been my best investment in car audio. The display is well sized and clear. The controls are easy to use, as well as the remote (a life-saver at times). I love that I can connect via Bluetooth with it to my iPhone to make/take calls and etc. as well as stream Pandora through it (haven't figured out the on-board version yet). Far and away worth the investment - it rocks hard.

Great Pioneer Product!

Another great head unit from Pioneer. I bought the HU bc I needed a dvd player, BT, Pandora, and the ability for ANDROID hook up. Everything is great except Android user interface is not working. I bought the required accessories for Droid interface and it does nothing but charge my phone. It could be operator error! Overall it is a great product and I would suggest it.

This head unit is working well and sounds great too. The controls may be easier to navigate on other brands but this does everything we need and more.

I would recommend this deck to someone. It has numerous features on it that greatly affect music quality, one thing i don't like is that in order to use pandora, you need an iPhone, wont work with android or any other phone.

Great Radio head replacement.

Replaced the radio head in my 2013 FJ. Great features and sound. The only gripe I have with most manufactures is that these systems are not android compatible with AP radios. You can Bluetooth steam music with Pandora, and that's about it. I am not going to buy the I phone and the 80.00 cables to make the apps work. When will they realize that there are far more android users out there than I phone users. The only other option was another Pioneer radio head that is $225.00 more, but even then, by the time you add the 80.00 cable, the apps are very limited. Wasn't worth messing with.

Great buy for my STi

I installed this deck in my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi and I love it. The deck sits so flush with my dash and looks great. Source switching is a breeze and iPod control is great. The customization of background/illumination is user friendly. I think the user interface on this deck is one of the best I've seen as far as looks. I have no complaints on this deck.

Pros: great price, high quality, detailed EQ, great looks.

great price for a good radio.

I picked this up for my wife's christmas present. I did a lot of looking, I even looked at the more recent versions of this radio and what I found out was that the newer ones don't have as many features. they changed the name deleted options and raised the price by a hundred dollars, Go figure. I installed this in my wifes saturn vue, Easy install. It has been working flawlessly ever since. Hardly a week goes by without her commenting on how much she loves her radio. I did add the back up camera and passed on the optional gps for a stand alone that was less than 1/3 the price and much better quality

Great unit, good price

This stereo is well worth the money. Tons of features that are easy to use, the menus are easy to navigate, with a wide range of sound tailoring available between the great eq, bass enhancer, loudness, and high/low pass filters. Audio and overall quality are very good. My only complaint is that the screen gets easily washed out by the sun while I'm driving, but this won't happen in all vehicles.
