I LOVE PIONEER DECKS AND THEY ARE PIONEERS FOR A REASON

THIS IS A VERY SWEET DECK! THIS UNIT FEATURE 50X8 MOSFET POWER HAVE YOU EVER SEEN OR HEARD A 400 WATT DECK BEFORE AMPLIFICATION. I HAVE THIS UNIT ON COMPONENT 680.7CS KAPPAS IN THE FRONT AND 682.7CF IN THE REAR AND TWO PIONEER CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKERS AND THIS UNIT KICK YOU KNOW WHAT. AND YES THIS UNIT IS ABLE TO BE BYPASSED BY USING A COMMON PERIPHERAL DEVICE.

DOWNFALL OF THIS UNIT IS THE FACT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY WIRES TO HOOK UP AND SOME ARE PRETTY BULKY MAKING INSTALLATION LONGER AND A BIT MORE DIFFICULT!

Great

I have owned this unit for about 7 months now and have never had a problem with it..ipod works great on it,cd/dvd is awesome..pic quality is amazin. However I do not like the parking switch..you cannot just ground it..must be put on a remote switch grounded out..the switch will fool the unit

Amazing

Very, very nice piece of equipment. Pricey, but well worth it. This is the only flip out unit that I could find that had 480P resolution. I wanted a flip out so that the head unit would not take up both din openings and I could use an in-dash center channel. The sound that this thing puts out is so clean and despite everything that this thing can do, its functions are fairly simple to learn how to use. Picture is incredible and has an auto adjusting sensor for night and day. You can adjust the contrast, color and dimming manually as well. The sensitivity on the touch panel is more than adequate and it even comes with a little stylus. The auto EQ worked beyond my wildest dreams. While there are 8x17RMS rated channels that output, only 6 can really be used in the main mode. To activate the other two channels for the front channel "high" outputs, you need to run this thing in netwrok mode. This means that you lose a few features. I knew this going into the purchase...and who needs 8 channels that won't already be external amps? I've got it running from the 6x17RMS and it sounds amazing but I will be amping with a 6 channel amp in the future so. Be aware that even when mounted in the bottom half of a double din opening, it will still sit partially in front of the center vents in some cars. Also be aware that self installation is not for the faint hearted...there are a lot of wires to be run and hidden. Easy to connect other Pioneer accessories to it, just make sure that the IP Bus cables on the accessories will reach where you want to hide them. The hideaway box is reasonably sized and comes with enough cable to stash it in the trunk for most cars. Make sure that you purchase speaker wire as this is one of the very, very few things that the 7800 does not come with. The remote is larger than traditional "card" remotes but is not too big and functions very well. Overall, a sweet unit...buy one.
