great value

This harness fit me car perfect, the only better thing was the fact that it wired up to the radio harness by color coding. Be aware that the + and the remote wire does not work on this harness, Just simply run your own wires and youre fine.

Must have!

This is a "Must Have" item when doing the installation yourself! actually I would hope the professional installer uses this. having this harness enabled me to keep the factory harness intact without cutting a single wire!

A little Confusing

Had a hard time with this... could not get to fit properly...instructions were not very user friendly...more for an installation shop.

Great price and easy install

This was the easiest stereo install ever. I have been upgrading my cars and trucks stereos for over forty years, and this made installation a breeze. And the ability to returm it to factory setup with just unplugging the wiring harness...well what could be easier?

Confusing at first but works fine

Got for double din stereo. If you buy this one just throw the instruction book away because it is very hard to understand with very little instructions. I think there are only about 1 page per car type. Its easier to just look at what you need and slowly cut parts off to fit it. But it does work and it holding my stereo tight.

terrible directions

This is made nice and sturdy but do not use the manual. It will tell you to cut out pieces you should not for your vehicle. When you install it just keep test fitting it and find out which parts of the mount you clearly need to cut off, the directions are misleading and will mess up the installation.

Simple Install - Do-It-Yourself Type

I love these kits. Color coded wires and complete instructions make even the most complicated installs a snap. It's so quick and easy there's never a reason not to purchase a Scosche install kit when installing a new strereo in your vehicle. (My kit was even included with my stereo purchase - thus, my next electronics purchase will be from Sonic Electronix as well.)

Kit ended up working like a charm after understanding how it worked and learning that you have to remove half the mounting brackets.

Worked great. You need a wire cutter and caps to attach it to your stereo. The instructions were easy to follow for connecting the wires.

American International GM-K422

Because this is basically a one fits all product, be prepared to do a lot of cutting. Almost all the tabs were removed to fit my Grand Am.

Great Kit; Great Price

After all was said and done, I was pleased with the outcome of the overall look of this kit. However, I won't hesitate to mention the fact that the instructions/manual that came with it was incredibly vague and I never felt, while preparing it for installation, completely sure that what I was doing was correct. I am referring, in all of this, to the preparation that has to take place before actually installing your 2-DIN receiver. I had to bust out my dremmel tool in order to sand down/cut off unnecessary pieces of plastic (granted yes, this is a "universal" dash kit and so as such "fits" a large number of cars) which I don't think I was ever expecting to have to do. It probably took me about 1/2 hour to an hour of added prep time just to get this ready for installation purposes. But again, like mentioned at the beginning, after all was said and done, I was pleased with the overall outcome and look of the kit in my '02 Chevy Impala. Would recommend to anyone willing to put in the time and effort to prep the kit for your specific car--to anyone else, I would recommend just getting an install kit a lot more specific to your car rather than a universal kit like this one.

This kit was a replacement for a Metra kit which, although designed for my Isuzu Rodeo 2004, did not fit well. Sonic sent this alternative at no cost to me.
It fit perfectly, once I cut off the upper corners of the mask! I guess there is no perfect fit for my car, but this kit was adaptable by me.

Took stock radio out, followed instruction and used this kit. It works perfect so far. I had to cut the center brace out because I have double din, it cleaned right up and didn't just break away.

Great Install Adapter!

This adapter kit came with my Pioneer FH-X500UI stereo. It fit perfectly around the stereo and mounted great to the frame of my 2DIN hole for the stereo. All the mounting holes lined up perfectly. I had my doubts when I first saw it. I followed the instructions and it worked!

When I received this kit I thought it seemed flimsy, but after assembling it and installing the radio in my dash, it looks very professional and clean. The kit keeps the radio looking like a factory install, not a protruding ugly aftermarket job. My buddy had the same radio I have, but a different install kit. The one he used keeps the radio protruding out of the dash. We have the same Avalanche truck, radio but different install kits. He now wishes he had the same kit I used. I definitely will recommend this kit to anyone. Not to mention the price is great as well!

Just a snap...

Easy to install just plug and go. Works flawless with no problems at all.

Good mounting kit. Just make sure you know which tabs you need and which ones to cut. Also if you're using it for a double din a good razor blade will cut the middle bar out easily.

I've got it installed and it's working very well I really like it got the Xm and the back up camera and the GPS nice unit I like it.....

Required a lot of trimming, but it wasn't hard. Installed in a 2004 pontiac bonneville. It did not hold up the radio in the back, so i had to put a thin piece of rubber underneath it to hold the radio even. I just cut up a mudflap, and that worked good.

I got this holding my Valor DTS-660W in the dash of my 2002 s-10. Instructions are kinda tricky, but if you follow them closely you will be able to make it work without breaking it. (It is only plastic after all).

Worked Perfect!

I used this to install a Jensen VM9021TS in my '02 Trailblazer and it worked perfectly. Just make sure your radio is supported properly from the back as the mounting brackets look kinda weak around where they are screwed to the dash. If your radio isn't supported good at the back it looks the mounting brackets might break if you hit some hard bumps.

easy to use kit

Used this particular kit a few times now and it's worked well in every install. The holes in the side pieces I needed to widen a little bit for the unit I put in my car, but that was specific to my car and not all others. I installed a double din with subwoofer rcas and my dash isn't deep enough so that was the mod. Very nice kit though

Frame worked well and was easy to install.

It allowed for a nice neat installation of a Kenwood DNX-6140 nav unit double-din radio. The center rib has to be cut out for a double-din install but no big deal. Great value.

This worked fone and had no issued getting it set up correctly. Though the instructs could have been better I was able to get it correctly installed

Instructions were tricky easy to use though.

Instructions were slightly unclear as what exactly to do. Turns out that this product requires you to 'break' pieces off in order to use it which is counter-intuitive. Still, a pretty easy install once you work through it but it took some thinking.

For anyone who might be looking for a better explanation of what I mean by break pieces off, basically there are multiple tabs on the bracket and they all fit different vehicles, you have to break off all the ones that don't fit your vehicle with pliers or cutters and then put the bracket onto the head unit. Then into the dash. The instructions just refer to 'removing tabs' , and the parts you have to break off are not obviously meant to do so.

This product was alright except for the fact it has to be modified not all notching was complete. But with a sharp knife you can fix the problem

eh its ok but lots of work

Several of the tabs had to be removed to make it fit in the double din space on my 03 chevy blazer. also to get the head unit mounted into this kit was a pain but eventually got it. Its all mounted and plugged in now, and it is fairly good fit. not perfect and you can wiggle the stereo if you push hard enough. Its not perfect or anywhere close to easy to install at all, but ive done at least 10 car stereo replacements so i was eventually able to figure it out. With that in mind, for being included for free with the Eclipse CD1200G that i bought, you cant go wrong.

Exact fit: Easiest Install Ever!

This plug/harness fit just fine. The 1996 Isuzu Rodeo was the easiest install I have ever done (I have only done 15-20 vehicles). I soldered this connector with high-grade (silver) solder, and my radio sounds awesomely crisp and warm.
