Good Unit

This is my first double din unit. I've always went with Pioneer and they always make good products but it's not without its flaws. The new Pioneer NEX user interface looks good. One thing that Pioneer skipped out on is that these new units don't display regular cd data unless it's an MP3 disc. I'm a bit old school and still liked that feature. This unit is a step up from the x2600bt. Bluetooth works great for calling and audio streaming. The audio streaming displays all the data accept the album art. I'm an android user so this review is mainly based on android users point of view. Hooking my GS3 to the usb is good for charging but as far as media transfer, it sucks. It takes entirely to long for the unit to recognize the phone data. So the best way to stream music digitally is through the Bluetooth or through a flash drive because they both work much faster. The DVD works fine but will work better with the micro bypass. That thing is not only good for DVDs anytime but it also unlocks some features that are not accessible while driving like Bluetooth audio and display settings. And finally, mirrorlink. Pioneer did their job as far as the hardware when it comes to connecting mirrolink but the problem is the app that's suppose to bridge the gap between the phone and the head unit. The app is called drive link and it a complete piece of crap. Until Samsung properly fixes the app then using mirror link is not an option on non App Radio headunits. I do like this unit because it's a big step up from my previous pioneer single din unit but I wish I would have done a little more research because I probably would have went with the App Radio 3 unit. So if you want to use your android phone more with the headunit then get one of the App Radios that Pioneer makes.

good unit

Menus and buttons are a little slow to respond. I like the features and more advanced sound adjustment options. Would have appreciated a small round volume knob. The track forward on the unit causes the display button to shut the screen off.

My first double din

Installed in a 2011 Subaru WRX. Perfect fit and easy to install. I had the factory option sub woofer installed prior to having this head unit and the head unit alone made a great difference in sound over the stock unit. Ended up swapping out the factory 10" low profile Kicker for a SoundQubed HDS310-D2 10" sub. Very happy with the product but some of the setting are too nested to get to quickly. Easily overcome by adding them to the "starred" list so they're much more convenient to access.

Great Product

I purchased this to replace the factory head unit in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It only took minor trimming of the rear frame to make it fit like a glove. It would be nice to have a few more background choices for the screen but visibility in any light is good.

Great Value

Put the Stereo in my new truck as it came with absolute base stereo. I love the new pioneer as it has a nice display and a fast reacting touch screen that quickly allows you to run through all your music, contacts, etc. The Bluetooth works great and allows you to easily utilize all of the voice activated features on your phone like email, calendar and text. I would definitely recommend this stereo.

Awesome Stereo

I had the cheap factory radio in my new 2014 Ram pickup and this is definitely an upgrade. Great touch screen interface that responds fast and brings up all the information from my iPhone for contacts, music, Pandora, etc. Setup is easy and the display is infinitely customizable. Works great for Bluetooth voice commands with my iPhone. I looked at several different models before I purchased the 2700 and I am very happy with my decision.

Great product

This headunit provides great music quality and a ton of features. Took me about 2 hours to get the sound I was looking for with all the settings this thing offers. This unit also works really well with Amazon prime music which was a bonus as it was not mentioned in description. Would def reccommended.

Terrific!

I just received this in the mail today and within 2 hours it was completely installed. I have a 2007 Nissan X-Terra and it fit seamlessly. I was choosing between this and another stereo but I'm extremely glad I chose this one. The touch display reaction time is a little slow but not bad at all. Having trouble watching a DVD when I'm parked and not moving but I'm trouble shooting that now. Overall, very thrilled with this!

Excellent Radio

I have really liked this radio so far. Very impressed overall with all functions. I had some overall trouble getting to some of the functions, but this is also my first "fancier" radio. I was able (with a friend's help) to install and actually get everything working.

Fantastic inexpensive in-dash

Probably my favorite radio so far. This is my first in-dash DVD unit, but I have been a long time user of high end single-DIN radios. This new Pioneer interfaces seamlessly with my iPhone 6 and just works great. It has a fantastic EQ and crossover setup and sounds great in my truck. Plus, the customizable control colors can be adjusted to match your dash perfectly.

Only complaint is that most of the controls on the left side are perfectly smooth and there is no way to tell what button you are pressing without looking at it. It would be nice to have some kind of bump or something so you could adjust the volume (for example) without having to watch where you are pushing.

I have only owned it for a month, so I can't comment on long term reliability, but no issues so far.

The installation, set-up, and operation of this unit was straight forward and easily completed. The recommended installation kit was spot on and the installation in my Silverado was a 2 hour project. The expandability of this unit makes it easy to upgrade features with ease.

Awesome unit for a good price!

As a DIY audio enthusiast this unit was easy to work with. The unit also has many useful functionalities such as a customizable equalizer, customizable background picture of your choice, etc. I would highly recommend this head unit for any future upgrades to your vehicle audio system.

I must have got a bad one

Power comes on and off while I am driving. It resets itself. It play pandora on bluetooth when it should be playing on its own setting. Sending it back. Lets see what happens.

pioneer avhx2700bs is awesome

I got this unit after careful research and i love it. The sound is good. The features are great and my whole family finds it easy to use. The only complaint is that you really cant mirror your cell phone to the screen.

PROS:
The sound quality is the best stock sound I've heard of any head unit I've ever owned, The bluetooth system is very good. Pairing the phone is simple and calls are very clear. Connects quickly when you switch on too.
CONS:
The screen itself is not very good in bright sun. You can adjust some settings, but it's impossible to get it 'just right'.

But overall it's a good unit. highly recommended

Great stereo, great price

Was looking for nice affordable head unit to replace my factory radio, and this Pioneer fit the bill, not a lot of bells and whistles but have features that are essential such as amp outputs, Bluetooth, USB for iPod, etc. Sonic even included the install kit which is a plus for you do it yourselfers...definitely recommend this product

Happy with my purchase!

I purchased the Pioneer AVH-X2600BT for its integration with my iPhone. The Bluetooth syncing was simple and now connects automatically every time I get in my car with my iPhone. The Bluetooth connection is crystal clear. Playing music and podcasts from my phone is simple. Making and receiving hands free phone calls through the Bluetooth connection is much better than using my old BT earpiece. It is also great to not have to worry about keeping my earpiece charged. I like the preset and custom EQ settings. The sound through my speakers is much better now with this stereo than the factory stereo.

Installation instructions could have been clearer than what was in the manual. I had to call for support to verify the connections for my car, and the support was excellent. Once I called for help, I was able to quickly finish the installation.

excellent value and quality

I recently installed this head unit in my FX4, I added 2 - 12" subs for base. The head unit itself improved the sound in my truck by at least 80%. This head unit is great , starting with its options, user friendly, appearance and value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to others. I purchased a second head unit for my BMW X5 that will be installed over the next couple weeks.

Replaced the original head unit in my 2006 F150. I love it. Much improvement in the overall sound. It has so many features including bluetooth, aux input, and will. Play DVD's in surround sound. Great price too. Didn't care for the "tie-in" with the emergency brake. But can be by-passed.

Great Stereo

I bought this stereo a few months ago and installed it into my 2004 Nissan Xterra. I love it! It installed really easy, it works great and I have yet to have any problems. My car battery did die and when I jumped my car the fuses blew in the back of the stereo but I just had to change them and it went back to normal. The set up is really easy to understand. it does sometimes go back to demo mode when I eject a CD until I select a new input format. I just wish it was easier to watch ipod videos on the screen.

Amazing and easy to use head unit! Awesome touchscreen feature with tons of functions including amazing sound control(ie crossovers, visual EQ, backgrounds, Bluetooth, Pandora, etc etc). Very great item and worth the price. It includes a lot of useful features and runs perfectly with no problems. May be difficult for some people to install at home but a couple youtube videos should be a lot of help. Overall happy with the item and the purchase.

pretty neat

I bought this deck as a present to myself for Christmas. I hooked it up about two days ago so i cant really say how durable it is. DVD/CD playback is great and the EQ along with power acoustik tweeters 6.5" 2-way kickers and 5-way kenwood 6x9s have my car sounding the best it has ever sounded. I purchased the car antenna adapter also, but i can only catch about 2 stations compared to about 14 on my stock radio but i think its a great buy for the price! I would recommend this product any day.

The only issue is you need a special cable to make the DVD work while driving. Thats the safety feature I know but other allow a simple override.

Very nice double din. Would highly recommend especially for the price. Only thing negative is if you are going hook up your iPod to it then you are going to have and look at the wire hanging out the front of it (doesnt have a rear connection for Ipod).

Like how it has extensive crossover adjustments, multiple sound adjustments and eq. Hate it doesn't have a volume knob. Thought the graphics moved with the music but is just a picture. Overall, a nice unit.

"Mode" button does nothing the majority of the time, which makes it a waste.

BT call and Siri quality is quite poor.

AM Radio reception is problematic. *Possibly/likely due to the Metra adapter.*

My first double din...not bad at all!

im coming from a single din kenwood that i had for 4 years (2versions) and all i can say is this pioneer double din has A TON of future!!. but there's some small things i hate. so thats what im comparing it too.

LOVE:
-blue tooth!
great with non-iphones. when my passengers wants to play their songs.
and the incoming and outgoing phone calls. my gf says its clear on the other side of the phone!!

-bright screen
one of the things i hated about my single din was when the sunlight is out i couldnt see a damn thing. im sure the sun is the same around the world, so when it shines and im cruising to work, this double din screen is still bright and i can still see all the details.

-iphone/ipods
who doesnt have one or the other?
i currently have an Iphone 4s and it works great with just the extender and an apple wire. spotify and Pandora works great!

-EQ's
alot of adjusting can be made for your favorite type of genre. and it has two custom settings.

HATE:
-volume buttons
coming from a kenwood that i had for 4 years. im used to a knob. maybe its something i have to get use too but as of right now i hate it.

-Lag
its feb 26th as i write this so that means cold weather. ive had this dd for 3 days now and the weather been hitting under 10*f during the days and negatives at night. the lag happens when i use the button

--track scrolling
i listen to alot of EDM and i usually skip to the drop. so when i scroll, it also lags and its not as accurate.

like i said this dd, has a lot of future that a normal person would be overwhelm by. but dont be scared by it. in my opinion this is a great first double din for the money.!!!

Alright DD

This was an alright DD. It only has 2v preouts which I wasnt a big fan of. The reason why I already got rid of the deck was the picky touchscreen. Other than those two things everything else was good. I never played a dvd, or cd I just used a flash drive. So I can speak on how good those work. But all in all id recommend this.

Pioneer avh 2600

Installed in my 2001 silverado. Works great and looks amazing. Had it for almost 2 months. Installed a system with it.

Disappointment

I cant access the bluetooth settings. I try to connect my new phone but it keeps saying the memory is full; since i cant access the bt settings, i cant erase the previous phones on it. The auxiliary mode doesnt work; i tried like 3 different wires just in case that was the problem and it wasn't. I've searched the web and YouTube for solutions and all I kept seeing was comments about the same problems, especially the bluetooth settings. Sometimes the stereo also resets by itself. I am disappointed with my purchase. Don't waste your money on this.

The unit looks great as you can change the screen background to tailor your interior. Blue tooth function is awesome which was my main reason for purchase.

Decent radio

The unit works as it should.Nice screen cool display nice touch screen.
The mirror link is a waste of time with the I phone.You will still be working everything with your phone.
Certain IOS will not work
You need to download special music , maps etc. which in my opinion are not as good as the factory set ones
Almost none of the ones you use currently will work
Possibly it works better with an android not sure though as I do not own one.

got this installed in my chevy colorado 2007 it looks great makes my speakers sound way better the blue tooth works great. dvd look's good just sucks that if you turn of your car and turn it back on you have to take the dvd out to watch it if not you can only hear it its a safety feature. and it would be better if it worked with android apps not just iphone but other than that its a nice good looking and sounding stereo.

Very good double din would recommend this to everybody it sounds nice looks nice plays videos in great picture (after installing a toggle switch) and the Bluetooth feature is very handy soon as I turn it on my phone almost instantly connects to it I just love it!

For the price, you cant beat it. It works great and has a lot of features. only thing i didn't really like, is that i didn't know what files it reads with usb. other than that, dvds look great, even on the headrest screens i have hooked up to it.

Nice Headunit

Got this after my kenwood headunit started messing up and I must say, this is a nice improvement. The crossover features are definitely a plus. Only half way complaint is I wish that the crossovers had a bigger range for people running active that way they could cross their tweeters.

Good unit, but not completely impressed

The good:
- Made the stock speakers sound 10 fold on a Tundra. I was going to purchase aftermarket speakers, but found it to sound incredible especially when compared to the stock head unit.
- Pandora's streams really well on my Note 2.

The bad:
- I have yet to get a USB device to work with this unit. I ran the USB cable to the glovebox so I can plug thumbdrives into it. When it tries to load I get "Unable to read" errors.
- Still haven't figured out how the apps work.
- The touchscreen radio station buttons are pretty small. Also, if I'm on FM2 and want to change to FM1 it will change for like half a second. Requires me to mess with it alot.
- The display is pretty low resolution. I would have expected better in this day in age.
- The remote layout is pretty awkward. I wished you could use the D pad and "OK" for selecting items. It also must be pointed pretty directly at the headunit for it to pickup.

I haven't used the video portion as I need to bypass the parking brake switch. I also, wished I would have stepped up to have HD radio.

Overall:
I was really impressed with the sound output of this unit and being able to control Pandora. However, if I could get a USB thumb drive to recognize I would be OK with the other issues. For the price point it's OK. I wished I would have sprung for a little bit more expensive Kenwood unit. I thought after reading the many positive reviews I was getting something really impressive. You get what you pay for.

Great radio

This radio is a very nice touchscreen. It's a good improvement from stock. You can run up to three amps from it. It has a ton of great features and is easy to use. Installation was not bad at all either. The sound difference from this radio versus stock is a crazy difference. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice touchscreen for their vehicle. You also can't beat the price on this website. Very happy with my purchase. The one little complaint I have is the USB port is in the back. Not a huge problem but front would be better.

This deck is AWESOME

I've installed a few pioneer decks and speaker setups and there is nothing bad I can say about ANY of Pioneer's products. I was an avid Alpine lover but after experiencing the AVH line I was quick to convert to Pioneer. Bluetooth works like a charm, audio/video playback is great, and the personalization features are phenomenal. One thing that is upsetting is the inability to play my ipod on this unit. The playback is very choppy and sounds like a skipping CD. Apparently, this is a common problem for this unit. It was my fault for not doing the research prior to purchasing this deck but this problem is mentioned in multiple forums. Not a big deal for me as I just bought a 32gb flash drive and use that for music. Overall, this is a solid deck.

Awesome Unit

I replaced my stock double din with this in my 05 Aztek and man do the speakers sounds awesome. I use to have a sound system before but had to remove it due to ticket now I want to add it again to see how much clearer it sounds with this unit, too bad a $1000 ticket isn't worth it. But overall the unit is great, great response no freezing, good color for dvds, the main reason i bought this was because it has buttons and red lights i feel like full touchscreen is too much, this makes it look stylish and easy to use for everyone. The buttons are great. The remote is more for DVD use and not for entire stereo features. The only downside is I had a wireless back up cam and I can't connect it to the headunit so I have to buy a wired camera. Also Sonic Electronix sent me the wrong wire harness so I had to buy one. I will edit this if there are any future problems but for now I HIGHLY recommend this headunit to anyone and everyone.

Great Bang For Your Buck!

Ordered this head unit a while ago and didn't have time to install it right away, but when I did.. Holy it is awesome! Bluetooth functions are flawless, hands-free calling is great and the included mic is very clear for the person listening on the other end. Nice range of adjustability in the EQ section but nothing special. Overall I think this is the best value i could have gotten from anyone hands down. Thanks for the quality service and quality product! P.S. Maybe have it delivered to the correct house next time.. An old man was nice enough to phone me saying he had my package!

Pioneer 2600bt review

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Love this radio to pieces!! There's really nothing I can say to make this radio look bad in my eyes. My brother bought a similar radio for almost 700 and his doesn't even have bt. If you've never owned a radio like this, don't waste another minute and order it. Hope this helps.

Pioneer has never disappointed me, so I decided to put this head unit in my girls elantra. Bluetooth works great and the display is great. Plus the touch screen responsiveness is amazing way better than my kenwood double din. Only thing I was disappointed with is that the app mode is only for Apple phones....What about us android users?!

Worth more than every penny

The pre-amp gets you more volume, mad tone, and with the freedom to EQ to your hyper-specific taste, this is all you need to get a start on higher quality car audio. Bluetooth was super simple to set up, mixtrax is sweet, you won't be disappointed.
A sales rep hooked me up with a kickin Rockford p1 12" and RE amp with all the bells and whistles for install and it was super simple.
Best audio I've heard in a car with stock speakers and a sub.

I installed this pioneer product on my 03 Yukon Xl. Installation was fun. Love the Bluetooth . I would recommend these to anyone that's looking for a nice big upgrade on Ur vehicle and better yet... You can upgrade these product with navigation, steering control, XM Sirius etc.

Awesome HU

This HU is exactly what you pay for, it's awesome. The only negative is mirorlink does not work with android on this one. Had to read the fine prints.

Overall Great Buy

Overall this is a very good head unit. There are many features and things about this Pioneer deck that make it a good choice for the money. The bluetooth is very easy to use and the display looks really nice. Touch screen is accurate and responsive. The few things I do not like about this product is that you cannot use the remote control to scroll through Ipod contents, this was very disappointing. The pandora app is buggy but I do not know yet if that is because of my phone or the head unit. Despite those issues I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it is a good value for the money.

For fixing 'memory full' issues super easily

I love the Mixtrax but ran into the 'memory full' issue that made me sad for months and couldn't find anywhere to help me fix it. I eventually figured it out on my own:

MAKE SURE YOUR PARKING BRAKE IS ON and try to access settings again (wheel-looking icon at bottom right). Should bring you to where you can delete old and unused paired devices and then add the new one again. NOTE: Master resetting will not fix this problem. Hope this helps :)

terrible model!!

pioneer is affordable and usually has great products but this model is a bad design. i have read online and experienced myself a common issue of this head unit intermittently resetting itself. i have installed many head units and it seems to be only this model. all connections are right and work well. pioneer recognizes this problem. i have sent it in and got a replacement but this one also has the same issue. i recommend getting the next model up. or even a different brand.

I switched from a Jensen radio to this rado, and to say it short it was the best decision I've made in a regards to audio. The Bluetooth function is great with good control in the car.

I haven't figured out MirrorLink and the rear camera but that's something I've probably done wrong.

Pioneer AVH-X2600BT - Great upgrade from stock

I am coming from a 2007 Honda Fit Stock stereo that only had the CD player and an Auxiliary Input to play music off your phone.
This stereo crushes the options as a stock device but if you are interested in getting more technical the stereo becomes a full fledged Android system using a rooted phone, a slimport cable, and AppRadio Unchained app.
I love being able to get into my car and have it instantly connect via Bluetooth for phone calls or to stream music from my phone as well. I enjoy even more being able to mirror my screen and use the stereo as anything I have on my phone. Using my favourite Navigation app, Spotify, when parked I can quickly check my email, texts, etc right on the stereo.

I would for sure give this 5 out of 5 stars if I didn't have to modify anything to be able to mirror my phone. I think that is where things are heading soon with Apple and Android's versions of car stereos coming soon. For now I am happy with this Pioneer though.

I have a '08 Chevy trailblazer with premium Bose surround sound and this looks and sounds amazing in my truck! The screen is matte and easy to use even while driving. It's easily customizable with different backgrounds and backlighting. My favorite thing about this is the Bluetooth; I love that when I get in my music switches right over every time with no issues.

I have had this radio in my Honda CR-Z for about a month now and I love it. The functions are super easy to use. The graphics of the display make things easy to find and manipulate. The EQ is just enough to balance my sound without going full blown DSP and for $259 (or whatever the total was with the discount) I couldn't find anything that could compare with the number of features. The blue tooth works far better than the factory one in my wife's car, the A2DP function is great, the interface with MP3 player or IPod etc is super fast. Very satisfied with this unit. When I finish adding the amps and speakers in a few weeks I may go with an external DSP for T/A but the cost of this unit + the DSP is still a mile lower than a unit with a built in DSP and there is no such thing as a double din/DVD unit with full DSP functions yet so this is the best of both worlds.

Has everything i asked for. Only downside to his product is that the USB port is in the back of the head unit so you might have to feed the cord through your glove compartment. Otherwise great product. great visual and the mixtrax is amazing.

It's a great unit but it says you can set a background picture of your own in the instructions but the stereo won't let you which is the only thing wrong with the unit however for the price this is an amazing unit

Pretty good stereo

I don't have any complaints whatsoever with this unit other than it's lack of volume knob. One of those things you never think you'd miss until you get in to start the truck early one morning and your music comes on blaring and you have to wait like 8 whole seconds for the slow responding volume buttons to get it down to a reasonable level.

I bought this unit for my 09 civic because the factory usb stopped working as well as the cd player and this unit had everything i was looking for, when i installed it everything worked perfectly including with the Axxess ASWC steering wheel control and its just perfect, it has a very clean look as well as good response and good picture quality, great bluetooth connectivity, and also really nice customization, the standard relay bypass works but just as a warning u must turn off the radio and turn it back on in order to bypass it, it's like that for the newer models, might be looking into a microbypass later on but the power off and on is not a big deal honestly because i dont play dvds everyday only on long trips. Overall this unit is something i would recommend because it's just awesome!

Solid performer

This head unit has a lot of features packed into it and is easy to use. the main gripe I have about it is that the volume is via push buttons as opposed to a turning knob. I guess this is a personal preference. Phone dialled and received calls took a while to load, but otherwise not much else to complain about.

I bought this radio for the great price and I got more than what I expected. This thing has plenty of features and the user interface is great. The app mode is a little confusing but all the other features outweigh this. Also, the Bluetooth works great and the screen is just the right size for my RSX.

I installed it into my F150 it's like it was made just for the truck made the factory speakers sound like I replaced them. The picture quality is great as well, hookup is a breeze I would recommend this system to anyone.

Couldn't be happier

I couldn't be more happier. The radio works fantastic, the screen is bright with no glare, and the adjustability from the eq, phase control, input sensitivity adjustment, and my favorite time alignment via tape measure or my prefered method... the plug in mic. It brought my music alive with none of the infamous "I hear the left speaker over the right one" or vice verse. Not to mention for the price and it came with a free kit and harness. Yeah, its a must have for people on a budget and want a nice tv radio with great features.

Good price great product

This unit is great for the price I did a basic install nothing fancy but the Bluetooth works great, the phone calls are crisp clear the other person can hear me problem free. with audio streaming occasionally the unit will not pick up my phone and I have to manually select it. Another thing is I cannot change the song from the head unit when using Bluetooth I must pick up my phone and select the next song off of the phone not a major issue just something I felt others should know. I do find this to be a great unit though.

Excellent Head Unit!!

This is an all-around great head unit from Pioneer. The customizable color backgrounds and back lights are nice to match any interior lighting you have, the playback is fast, menu navigation is simple after doing it a few times, and is easy enough to use even while you are driving. DVD playback is solid, with high video and audio quality. The features included are unmatched, especially at this price range. The bluetooth connectivity works great, and the included microphone is nice, not really picking up any road noise during a call. Having integrated Ipod control, bluetooth music, auxiliary port, cd player, and radio make almost any format of music playable. It looks nice, and when installed correctly, looks like it came from the factory. Overall, a very solid product that is well worth the money.

Great Deal

I've owned a lot of head units over the last 10 years. This is, by far, the best one I've owned and it's one of the cheaper ones. If you don't need HD Radio, this is the new Pioneer head unit to get.
I've got two very minor complaints:
1. I wish I could navigate the XM stations like factory radios (ie list of stations, names, and songs currently being played at once).
2. The USB menu/navigation isn't attractive and can be a big PIA to navigate.

Maybe it was a fluke.

Bought this unit earlier this year (Feb) and had to return it 6 months later due to a defect where the unit would shut itself off and turn on by itself. The return process was a bit of a pain due to the wait time (I live way out in the pacific). Overall the use and features of the unit is great however the quality, at least for me, is now questionable. So far the new unit is functioning fine but only time will tell, I only have 6 months left on the warranty.

Great double din for the $

I bought this because it wasn't too expensive but it still did everything I wanted my head unit to do, a month after it has been installed in my 2003 mustang cobra, it has been doing its job well, besides being very dim in the day time, this head unit is great for tuning bass and all your speakers to exactly how you want it, I would buy this head unit again for another car if I had one, it is 5 stars

Th is the third pioneer double DIN I've bought in 18 months. I was so impressed with this unit, I put one in my girlfriends SUV.

Touchscreen is very good, much improved over the last generation Pioneer.

I love this unit!! It's beautiful and sounds wonderful with my 12" Kenwood subwoofers. I have no regrets on buying this!! I wish I could've splurged on the $800 detachable face one... bummer. I just need to figure out how to make my callers hear me through the speakers, I can hear them though. Oh I have a cheap behind phone and it pairs up perfectly through the Bluetooth.

I have installed mine in a 2004 pontiac bonneville. Looks and works great. Love how you can customize it, for example: button color and background can be changed. The touch screen responds very quicly, and I love how i can control my iPod onscreen. It works flawlessly. You can use the Apple cable to connect your iPod for music, but if you are planning to watch video from it, you will need the Pioneer CD-IU50V. You can also save songs to a usb flash disc and use that similar to an iPod. The radio is easy to navigate, and I have owned it for a month and have not had a problem yet. Auxilary input works good, and you are able to shut off the screen and just use the buttons if it is too bright at night. This radio also has a small internal amp, which makes my factory speakers sound much better, even the bass is better! Installation was pretty straightforward.

I also installed the Axxess ASWC so my steering wheel controls would work, which works well, and was fairly easy to install after printing off the instructions from the internet.

My only complaint is the free adapters that sonic provided with the radio. The dash kit worked perfect, except that it did not hold up the back of the radio, so i just put a small piece of rubber (such as a cut mudflap) underneath in in the back to hold it up, which works great. But the antenna adapter and wiring adapter on the other hand was wrong, but that was just for my Bonneville.

If you are planning to install this radio in a bonniville, you will need the PAC C2R-GM32R for the wiring adapter, which is far from free. And you wil need the Metra 40-VW10 for the antenna adapter, although it says it is not for the bonneville, and it does require some force to plug in, it does work.

It is a great radio. This is my first Pioneer product, and I am very pleased, would definitely buy another Pioneer Head Unit.

Pioneer AVH-2600BT

I ordered a BOSS double din unit and tried to save a few bucks, however, sonic offers a no hassle return policy (within 60 days). I returned the boss unit and ordered the Pioneer AVH-2600BT and received it a few days later. It has an amazing 8 band EQ, and I am able to dial in my components, and it has sub level and custom EQ. The bluetooth pairs up good to my android, and the microphone works great as well. I am still learning more about this unit that I like. I would recommend this unit. I like that it has 3 preamp outputs to power all my speakers. (front/rear/sub)

Excellent Head Unit

Put this in my 07 Xterra. Installation was easy and it sounds much better than the factory stereo even with the factory speakers. The interface took a little getting used to, but its well worth the $. Mostly use it with an iPod touch and it recognizes it and starts playing almost immediately.

I bought this unit because it looked like it does everything I needed it to do. It turns out, it does! It looks pretty radical in my cargo van! My only complaint is that browsing an ipod is a little of a pain, but tolerable. I actually ordered it while deployed in Afghanistan and had it delivered to my parents house in the states. I was nervous about it but everything I ordered, which was several pieces, showed up and it was all in great shape. I'd order form Sonic again.

I bought a set up from Sonic with great prices. I cant say enough good things about Sonic it took me a week to get all my products but im on the east coast and they are on the west. I got to 8 ohm bozooka tubes, 1200 watt rms power bass amp the pioneer head unit, 440 power bass amp for my alpine type r 6 1/2 that I also got from them. The system rocks when I say it is loud I mean it is loud. I got them in a 2006 codorado truck.

I overrided the safety feature where you cant watch videos while driving by simply adding a toggle switch inline with the parking break wire. I have to switch it whenever i want to override the feature but hey who cares.

False advertising by Pioneer.

First, the pandora app works, but with my Android (Galaxy S5) the audio completely cuts out for 1-2 seconds randomly and often enough, probably 6-7 times per song. Secondly, there are zero compatible apps for the appradio app. I bought this unit to run the GPS from my phone on the headunit. That simply does NOT work with appradio. It also says it supports mirrorlink with my phone. It does not. At all. From what I have seen on the forums is that mirrorlink only actually works on sony phones even though Pioneer claims it works with Samsungs as well. So, I bought an iPhone 5s. Now, the bluetooth pandora function will play for a few minutes, then disconnect. Plays again after 10-15 seconds and disconnects after a few minutes again. Constantly. There is one compatible app for appradio (that is one more than Android) It was enough to almost make the radio worth it, but it kept freezing and was completely unusable. Almost caused me to get into an accident because it froze in the middle of Navigation. I do NOT recommend this product unless all you want is a DVD/CD player. It does NOT play nicely with smartphones. Returned.

I purchased this radio 3 months ago. In its price range you can't beat the features and function this head unit provides. For audiophiles like myself that are on a budget and want to build a good sounding system shouldn't pass up this deal. The unit provides all the crossover points and octave scale to tunes your system and a 13 band eq to fine tune your set up. This is all done actively instead of using the passive crossovers with components or on board of the amp. On the customer service side for SE. they are the greatest. I live in SC and we recently got hit with some severe weather that dropped tons of rain for 2 weeks straight. My head unit along with other electronics took in moisture and stopped working or started acting funny. SE didn't give me any hassle. Told me I was covered under warranty and for me to ship just my core unit and they will swap it out for a new one. Under warranty or not I never, other than with SE, didn't accumulate some hassle about the product or a run around about purchase dates and having receipts.

I am very happy with this radio I use the bluetooth and CD most but all works great. The graphic eq works perfect I am not using the radio to power the speakers. I am using a pioneer 6604 amp and a hifonic hi 1000. Speakers are jl trx 6x9 Polk db6501 and kicker comp r 12 ported and its all I can handle!

Bought it sonic a few months ago and decided to do a review. There is less screen glare compared to previous years models. 13 band equalizer for the price is fantastic. More features for less money . The bluetooth isn't stable with my galaxy S4 after about 8 feet. The remote has to be directly in front of the receiver to use it which sucks. The sound is great, video is better than average. The unit is a little slow to boot up and stalls if you have music and video files on the same flash drive. If you are familiar with older pioneer units, the favorites icon was on the main screen, not this one. Overall I recommend this because of the sound quality and features despite a few drawbacks.

more bang for the buck...

Fits and looks great in my 2005 Nissan Frontier. Self installation was for the most part straight forward. Audio sounds good with oem speakers. Also, works great with my iPhone; the App mode lets you listen to Pandora, which is a plus! Wasn't aware of this but, dvd/video is only accessible when the parking brake is engaged otherwise you only get audio. I highly recommend this unit!

I'm not exactly too sure on what to think of the product. Bought it in early July and took it to a professional for installation. The sound it was able to produce was great. Overall the radio worked great. I own an iPhone 6 and hooks up pretty well for the most part. bluetooth worked great on it. Only thing that bothered me was not being able to get the app radio working. i'm not exactly sure why it doesn't work but i'm gonna guess its because my phones iOS exceeded the radios software. I think the radio was suppose to be for iOS 8 or 7 and i have iOS 9. Another little thing was the inability of being able to turn down/up the volume quickly. This radio doesn't come with a volume knob so it can get annoying at times. Apart from that, there was one more thing about the radio that bothered me. about 4-5 months later, the radio began to act funny. Not sure if the cold weather had anything to do with it. The buttons would light up but the screen would not turn on until several minutes later. As time went on the radio got even worse to the point where it would not turn on. Very frustrating as seeing as i hadn't even owned it half a year. Thankfully sonicelectronix offers 1 year of warrant on the product so i sent it back and am currently waiting on the new one. If you're thinking of buying a pioneer radio, I guess i would recommend it, but probably buy warranty with it and see what iPhones or what iOS the radio supports first before buying the radio if you have an iPhone such as myself.

This is a excellent product. My wife loves it and it looks great in her caddy. The only problem is not being able to use the mirror linking feature. The product description never mentions you need special cables or only certain android phones to use this feature. So we now have to spend more money. on a compatible phone to use the mirror linking feature. Than what we paid for the radio. Other than that she recommends this radio to others.

There is one thing most people don't know and isn't said in the product info. You can use the radio to split bass/ midst/highs to run the system active and cut out the crossovers. The crossover points and slopes are adjustable also. I thought the audio nuts needed to know this. And this is activated upon startup, select network and then after you are done adjust everything out. It is output in speaker level and rca. Frt =highs rear=mids and sub output rca.

9 months into ownership, the USB no longer plays music. instead it just plays static to the beat of the song being played. it will still charge, but no music.

changed usb cable and device, still nothing.

all other parts of the unit work great!

sadly, i cant charge with the USB from the headunit while having a headphone jack in. it keeps trying to connect to headunit and playing the static.

Great stereo

I really love this stereo as it had all the features I was looking for at a great price; USB, Bluetooth, camera input, auxiliary input, touch screen, 4 volt preamp outputs, network and standard mode for the 3 sets of preamp outputs. However I was surprised that the unit could not be powered down totally causing my amps and accessories connected to the remote output to always be on while the vehicle is on. Also i experience ever so often the unit would not power on or take a long time to power on from a blank screen. Otherwise from that I am extremely happy with this unit. Looking forward to upgrading because of these 2 cons.

*WARNING* Look up reviews on other websites (especially Amazon) Others will say the same description to what we have started to witness about a month after our manufacturer warranty went away. Ours now randomly turns off (sometimes the screen, sometimes audio, sometimes buttons or sometimes all of it). Firmware updates and any other attempts to fix it ourselves doesn't do anything, seems to be an internal problem. All the features were awesome and functioned perfectly before hand, now just sadly filling in the radio cavity until we get a different one.

Screen is dead 50% of the time

Well spending almost $300 plus all the special wiring harnesses needed you would thing the thing would work for at least a year. Bought it in April/2015 and worked great and well now the whole thing is black like its dead, or the buttons on the left side come on and the screen is black, or the date and hour time is missing. No clue why...
The MODE button hasn't worked since day one.....wasn't happy about that but meh whatever can still work around it. But can't work around a dead screen.

Hoping I can rerun this and get something that wont be like this

I bought this for my older truck that needed a radio upgrade, and this radio is a great buy for anyone looking for a new one. Everything was easy to install and works perfectly for the price.

Sounds great

Sounds great with my Polk dB 6.5s with sound stream amp, much better detail can be heard than with the factory HU made by clarion also looks good in my 15 wrx, matched the red lighting nicely. To get hd radio you will need to upgrade to the next model but if you don't listen to fm radio then it's not worth the extra 30 buck. I love that I can scroll through my phones music using the touch screen. Other reviewers have complained about not having a volume knob but it think it looks cleaner without and you have a remote for basic controls, could use more background themes but who cares when everything else about it is so great. Lots of options, love it
