Good unit, good price, lacking a few features

This deck is very pleasingng to the eye. The GzuI is perfect. It's a great price for a DVD player which can be daisy chained to rear headrests. Comes with remote, awesome Bluetooth, and iPod and app radio compatible. However it is not ssatelite ready and lacks hd radio which can be found on single din units for a third of the price. But the sound is good with 4v preouts and the screen size and tuning options definitely make it a great buy.

looks great

I bought this unit not to long ago when I put it in, it fit the car perfectly, looked great all the functions worked well only thing I do not like is when the sun hits it sometimes it looks washed out, but other then that great for movies and iPods

Fantastic unit

Price is a little high. BUT! Sound is fantastic. Looks are fantastic. Installed without a problem. Rear view camera is fantastic. My wife and I are still playing with the buttons. I am waiting for the price to go down on a 2nd unit for my 2004 Liberty with a single din.

Good product, no suprises

First Pioneer automotive product I have purchased. Good sound from the unit, I have it without an amp going to stock speakers. Clear picture. The big complaint that most have is inability to work with iPhone5. I have the 4 and it works great, can stream Netflix through the screen. Be careful with the application, I put mine in a 2012 Silverado and the screen contacts the top edge when you load a DVD or change the viewing angle. It wouldn't be an issue in other applications. I can't get the Pandora application to work, but it is a non-issue because I just use Pandora through the Bluetooth audio.

Awesome! Does what it says

I love this stereo, Great touch screen the tilt came in real hand with the low positioning of my car. The bluetooth works flawlessly. Ive had multiple units this is by far my favorite. I think the only con I have on this strero is the inablility to change the brightness, it has a really bad glare during the day makes it really hard to see really annoying other than that its a great product for the price!

Great for the price.

This is a very nicely designed head unit. Note be sure you have room for the face to move around. I had no trouble but I saw potential to have it where you could not access your cd/DVD slit. Display is big and you can by pass to have as the main player in your car. Pretty android friendly.

Worked Great in My Wife's 1999 CLK 320

Product is solid!! Worked great once I got all the different parts for a custom install for a 1999 clk 320.. I used the universal double din adaptor from Clarion. Too many adaptors needed for video from Iphone 5.. firmware update is simple..

4500bt was good but bypassing the video is eritating

I liked the radio and how it works simple to use. I didn't like bypassing the video player , you have to take the CD out and put it back in again to get the head unit to play or put a switch in that you have to flip several times to get it to work

Not so great

The mixtrax is a reason why i got the product. It doesnt even mix tracks properly. I find that the climax of a song will lead to the slow part of a next. It just doesnt flow good enough. Lets just say the "dj in your car" is a rookie. If you set mixtrax to random and let it do its thing and played it in a real club, people would just be there for the drinks. more like leave.

Even the radio signal. Noticed is worse.

I went to plug in my cable in the back and the yellow part came off. (Cheaply made/welded) When i mentioned it to sonic electronix customer care center they said they cant do anything about it. What a suprise.

It is gonna get repaired hopefully. If not the whole reason why i got this deck(appradio) is going to be useless. Not to mention ios 7 just came out and the appmode doesnt really work properly yet. Pioneer is apparently working to fix it. Hopefully soon.

The resolution of the pictures i added in the background are not what i expected either. They are not the greatest and i got the wallpaper quality pics. An ipad shows the pics in superior quality.


The only pros i can think of are not worth mentioning because you can get them on any other deck.

I dont know if i regret it yet. But i was excited before. Now, disappointed.

Great Product

I would recommend this product over and over again. this thing does everything i want it to. It is easy to use and the picture is great. I love that the screen tilts which helps a lot with glares and all.
