very high quality product

this particular unit is outstanding for the price, it rivals stereos costing hundreds more. it has alot of options; strong amplifier, 13 band graphic equalizer, apple and android support, back-up camera, bluetooth, the list goes on-and-on. if you're in the market for a dvd radio then look no further. you can hook it up to external monitors and run a/v inputs as well. i can't believe all the options you get for the price. also, sonic electronix throws in the install kit, wiring harness and a cheap anyenna adapter. what more could you ask for?


as always, Sonic's shipping was fast and one of their salesman called me with an enticing offer which brought the cost down lower than any competitors price. and with the much needed accessories, it's a no-brainer.

also, pioneer makes high-quality, cost-effective products. the sound that you get is phenomenal. I've got 2-pioneer 5x7's and 2-boston 5¼'s and it sounds unbelievable! it keeps up with my 15" dayton audio 800watt sub with just the radio amp pushing them. and that one sub hits 148db!

get this head unit, you will be in awe once you see it in action!

pioneer still the king of head units!

you always hear talk of alpine being the best, or kenwood or even blaupunkt. to me, pioneer has always and will always be the best! they've always had a great sound and a bunch of options and features for a reasonable price. far cheaper than the kenwoods and alpines with the same features, and pioneers usually has more bells and whistles!

this particular unit is no different, it has an amazing variety of options. there's so many that i couldn't begin to list them all. if you like to tweak your system, then this is definitely the head unit you want. it has some very good crossovers and with the speakers hooked straight to the reciever, it's so powerful it keeps up with my 500 (true) watt sub. and this aint no boss or sony, I'm talkin dayton audio with a c2 2000 watt amp on it! i just can't push the full wattage with my stock electrical system, but I'm seein almost 500watts at the sub, and it slams. I'm talkin 145db slam! and like i said, the head unit amp, pushin 2 polk audio 6.5's and 2 pioneer 5x7's with 2 soundstream tweets, are still heard loud and clear with that sub. now don't get me wrong, i can adjust the sub to where it greatly over-powers the front stage, but at mid way (20 on the volume), and half of the subs bass knob turned up, it keeps up nicely. and I'm a basshead!

anyway, i did alot of research for this current build, and this unit has more options than anything else in this price range and then some! even units costing hundreds more don't offer everything this one does.

if you have a car like mine where the radio stays on after you shut the key off and things like that, then you'll want to turn the auto flap off so the screen doesn't go in and out everytime you shut the car off, you just have to operate the screen manually. but it's no big deal. other than that, there is nothing else to dislike about this piece.

and as usual, buying from sonic is the best option. their customer service is phenomenal and they always have the best deals. and they will price match and throw in all of those installation accessories that you need. sonic electronix is one of the best places to buy car audio on the web. unless of course you're going for competition level equipment, then they don't have a very good selection for that. but as far as standard car audio equipment, and even some high-end componentry they can't be beat.

if you're debating on which receiver to buy and where to buy from, then look no further. this is definitely the best radio for this price that you can buy, and this is the best place to buy from. enough listening to me ramble on, go get it already so you can start slammin! boom on my friends!

Love this hu

This head unit is packed with all of the features of the double din. The screen is very responsive and all touch screen actions are fast. The audio features are very easy to use and things like time alignment and crossovers make it great for tailoring your system. I recommend this radio to anyone looking for a dvd/cd combo that has amazing sound tailoring capabilities.

very satisfied

I've been an alpine guy since the late 80s. I bought this deck and am extremely satisfied. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone .I tried another single din unit by soundstream and was left lacking in the audio. This goes beyond my expectations. Awesome deck ! You definitely won't be "settling" if you're considering it. If it's a bit out of your price range I totally recommended saving up for it. You won't be disappointed.
