Best Deck Out There!!
-After looking at a few competitors such as the INA-W900 Alpine I eventually came to buy the Pioneer. I liked the Alpines look more than the Pioneer but I would rather have buttons like the Pioneers, these probably wont break seeing as they are built in. The gloss black also looks very sleek, when compared to the gray of the alpine.
-The HD radio tuner makes a big difference. Forget the background noise from normal radio stations; with the HD radio tuner you wont hear that at all. The sound is nearly as good as a CD, and speaking of CD use, that is very good as well. Although not all CDs will show album information such as song name and album artist.
-The video playback is also very good, I have had a few Double DINs before this and this is my best unit so far. It's also blown me away with the resolution and colors of the screen. You can also bring up the controls of the deck while the video is playing which does not stop the video so that is nice to not have to start up the video again.
-I also have this deck hooked up with the USB going into the glovebox. The controls for the iPod are easy to use and understand. The only thing is though, the deck will upon startup re-create a voice recognition library of your iPods songs, and until that is done you cannot do anything but go to the next song or go to the last song, you cannot search for a different song until it is updated. This is somewhat annoying as it happens every time the unit is turned on. Sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes before the VR is updated.
-The GPS is also very easy to use if you know the full address. It looks great when it is running and you can change the view of the GPS to several different orientations. Also when you type in a destination the deck will give you several different routes to get there as well as what time you will get there.
-I have two amplifiers and a back up camera hooked up to this unit as well. The operation of the back up camera is great. The controls on the deck also work very well with controlling the e.q. levels and hi/lo pass filters of the external amplifiers.
-Probably the only things I do not like about this deck is that voice recognition does not always seem to work. The Bluetooth during phone calls is great and the people on the other end of the call always say they can hear me clearly, I have my mic right above my rearview mirror. The voice recognition thought like I said is sketchy at best. Many times when you ask the deck to "play artist ____" the deck will say it did not understand. Keep in mind this does not always happen, but I don't really use the voice controls a lot either. Also the music sphere application does not work with the deck unless you have a Windows computer, otherwise the application will not work. The App radio app will also not work unless you have a iPhone, but I have heard from several audio shop friends that Pioneer is in the works with making these apps Android friendly.
-Overall, it's a great deck and I would recommend it. Go out and buy it. It does it all, and you can match the button colors to the car.

Powerful product
I have been reading and waiting for a long time to get a good overall product. I used to have a Pioneer Premier DEH-940MP HU with a 13band EQ and 6V preout which I liked very much.
- This unit provides 7band EQ which is less than what I used to have but more than any other similar product, plus a 4V preout vs 2V for most of the navigation units. The only EQ I truly miss is the 12Khz one since the Z130BT stops at 10KHz. The High Pass Filter option covers all speakers; no HPFF and HPFR. Sound settings also provides interesting options for the subwoofer control, more than I expected, loudness control and other interesting options to help calibrate and set the unit like you want.
- There is a lot more options to configure and control the unit like you want from Bluetooth phone, to iPhone, Pandora (only works for USA). GPS unit is good, but I miss my Garmin. We'll see next upgrade if they revamp it a bit but it's not a show stopper. Unit still works in tunnels or where GPS can't see the sats if you plug the VSS wire.
- Bypass mod available on youtube. Works well, but never use Movie player while driving. Stay safe. Microphone is excellent for phone or voice command; just make sure you don't cover the side if you do an "integrated" and discreet installation in your dash.
In all, this unit is very powerful, I am pretty sure there still plenty of power to be used giving more functionality over future software upgrade.
There are 2 things I don't like with this unit:
- Scrolling pages either when browsing MP3 on your favorite media or when using XM Radio, scrolling through chanels.
- They need to make file browsing easier and safer. Adding a scrollbar on the side would be a start.
About Sonic:
As I am a Canadian customer, I am very pleased with their excellent service and fast shipping. I had the unit in less than 4 days, considering my unit had to go through customs. Hats off to you guys, I'll be looking to do business with you again for sure.

Worth every penny
This was worth every penny that I spent on it. It makes your car look classy and has a lot of features that you wont get in any other navigation system. I plan to buy another for my other car also.

Pretty nice head unit
I got this installed on my Nissan 370Z and I must say that this head unit is one of best out there. It may be pricey but the features are ridiculous on this thing. I've had it for about 2 weeks and I still have fun with it. I like that I can keep an SD card in there and not worry about having bad music on the radio. Which brings me to another point, it has HD radio, you get radio stations "regular" people don't have. I hooked it up to Alpine type-R speakers and a JL sub, sounds incredible. You want nice? Get this head unit.

Best of the Best
I have been through almost all the car indash players including all the top brands such as alpine and kenwood. I must say this is one of the best indash i have ever used. Pioneer really stand up for their name for this unit. Everything works perfect. No issues at all. Has so much features and its so easy to setup and use including the navigation. No cons to complain about.

Great Unit
This unit has tons of great features every option you will ever need and it doens't take forever to load. Everything is really responsive. Only con is the GPS which can be confusing to use at first but once you get used to it, its not really a problem. 7" Screen and really clean looks good in any car not too flashy more classy.

Amazing Product!
Ive had this product for 3 months now and i absolutly love this stereo. I have it hooked up to two 10' kicker cvr's and it made an incredible difference. The bluetooth is great and comes in handy since its going to be lawed being on the phone while driving. And the navigation gets me where i need to be. Thank you sonic!

Great Overall Unit with a few Small Issues.
The biggest problem is the lack of bluetooth kicking in consistently. If bluetooth doesn't automatically connect to your phone, you need to go in to the bluetooth settings, click on your phone, then select a button that tells it to reconnect. If they had a shortcut on the main screen to toggle your primary phone this wouldn't be a problem, but this is a major headache when you're driving. The only other negative I can think of is that the display doesn't handle well in sunlight for movies. With that said, I've only tried to watch movies with it once or twice.
Now to the positives. The Navigation is surprisingly good. It may not be Garmin, but it's better than every other GPS that I've seen. Most of the button placement was done well, and the bluetooth sounds great both for phone calls, and for streaming audio. The movie/music formats that it can handle are expansive.
The bluetooth issues is a big headache, but everything else about it is great so I would highly recommend.

Great
Everything on this unit works great minus the voice recognition. It is worth the money but if you get it don't get the scosche harness go somewhere else and buy a metra or a PAC because those will give the reverse and parking brake signals and the scosche won't. Also don't connect the mute wire because you may have some problems with it muting itself. I have hoked up to a 2011 Silverado with onstar and it still works without the mute wire hooked up.

Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT
This is a great unit, i have had Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, Eclipce and other head units. And this Pioneer is just as good if not better. I like the ipod hook up it lets me control my ipod very easy and it is fast to load up my muzic and u can get good sound out of it with the amp crossover that is built in, over all its a very good head unit.

Overall Fantastic head unit
Everything you can expect from this unit. Its clear and has quality sound.
The navigation is really nice. The only part I don't like it the voice activation. When you speak to it, the system doesn't understand or recognize the words. Its faster to just touch the panel then to do the voice activation. Other than that its good!

Awesome Unit!
I have had this unit for a couple of weeks now and i am really impressed! The boot time is very quick on the z110bt(maybe 10 seconds) and every function I have used works as advertised. The voice recognition does a good job of understanding commands, and is a nice feature. The bluetooth features are my favorite, the phone and the unit sync quickly, which allows me to stream/control music stored on my phone, as well as make/receive phone calls, and the contacts from the phone are also pulled up onscreen! Overall I see no downside to this unit and have failed to be disappointed as of yet.

Top 5 In-Dash NAV Units
Bought a unit last year , installed it myself, ... very slick design, looks good on my dash, great piece of electronic, full of features. Still a little pricey. But I would recommend it to anyone who's into gadgets and electronics.

Amazing product
This is a great product, it is all that i expected. I installed the product myself, the installation instructions were quite accurate and everything was done in a day, the provided wires and the Scosche FDK11B was a great product and a must to set the great condition for the installation. The settings are great and easy to use. The screen is the right dimension and the holding guard that is provided with the system to fit your personal vehicle has a great aesthetic. The new button bar is a great upgrade and it cleans the over all look of the product

AWESOME!
This unit is great! Everything is great on it. The only con i see is, i thought i was going to be able to view photos in a slideshow or something. Are make a photo as a background while i was playing music. But, other than that it is great. It comes on fast, the sound is amazing, the navigation is on point. the hands-free bluetooth is all right. It comes in handy though. I'll recommend this unit to anybody! Keep it up pioneer.

Great sounding with lots of features
This unit is really great! It replaced another known brand; it sounds great with a bunch of sound adjustments to customize your listening taste; it is easy to use, touch screen works good, has a big & clear viewing screen that tilts too for better angle.

Best car stereo I had yet
Installed it myself on my Volkswagen Passat and works perfectly. I love the fact that it has all the connectivity you can think of: Ipod/Iphone, SD, USB, Bluetooth, audio. GPS is very accurate and maps are good. It is able to multitask (GPS, music playing and phone calling at the same time) without freezing or errors. The sound is great and you have a large variety of settings.
In conclusion, it is my best stereo to date and the Sonic store was a great experience, prompt and accurate.

Perfection
I would recommend this to anyone looking to drop some cash on a series in dash Nav. I was originally looking into something from Alpine but lets face it their double din units look like dinosaurs. This unit looks sleek and up to date.
Pro's: Very easy to use, Very customizable, 8band equalizer, Lets you control an iPod either on the unit or the iPod it self, customizable splash screen, and the navigation is very responsive.
Con's: Installation isn't recommended for newbies (me) had a pro do it.

Best Unit Out There
No other headunit comes close to the pioneer z1. The features are great, it looks nice, the navigation is top of the line and it has a hard drive. What more could you ask for. If I put a cd into the car it will copy the cd onto the hard drive...it's that good. Ive invested over $10,000 into my car and this is by far the best money ive spend on it. Highly recommend.

Pioneer Z120BT Eval
I’ve had the Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT for about six months now. It was installed in a 2008 Ford Edge which has the Ford Sync with a premium sound system.
First off, get the auto program steering wheel interface. The PAC unit could not cut the mustard after spending too much time (hours) trying to get it to work. The Axxess auto program unit was a snap.
If you have the Ford Sync you will be disappointed in the Z120BT. The support for Bluetooth, phone, and voice command are far superior in the Sync. Pioneer has a lot more work on this. Ford Sync is always available and is activated by pressing a steering wheel button but the Pioneer requires you to first use the touch screen interface to turn the voice command system on before you can press the activate button. The voice command is part of the GPS system not the radio. I liked the Ford Sync so much better; I am thinking of re-installing the factory radio. Hopefully Pioneer can improve their unit with a software upgrade but I doubt it. The voice command is a joke. I guess it would work better if a spoke Japanese but giving it commands is a waste of time even for phone dial.
After using a Garmin for many years, the Pioneer GPS is also a disappointment. The first five times I tried to use the GPS to give directions the address was not found. I am talking about well established locations that have been around forever like a golf course and a VFW hall for example. Supposedly there is a map update but I cannot find it anywhere on the Pioneer site plus I should not have to update a product I just purchased. I’d say the maps are at least 10 years old right out of the box. My Garmin gives me the next cross road and distance to it on a full-time basis at the top of the screen and the name/route# of the road I am on at the bottom. The Pioneer GPS only gives this information when you are in trip/route mode. Otherwise you have to read the map detail to know the next intersection coming up. I was able to find national chains for Banks and restaurants but no local restaurants will be found. So if you select “Mexican” restaurants you get Taco Bell and other nation chains but no local ones.
If you have an Apple iPod or iPhone then you will be happy because the Pandora application gets downloaded for use but if you have some other device or MP3 player the organization and playing features just suck and not worth using. It’s like the Apple devices are your only choice. What good is a hard drive in the unit when you can’t organize it if you have an MP3 player?
Because this is a “high” end unit I was expecting more from the radio. You cannot record radio even though there is a hard drive available. It would be nice if the unit could be like a radio DVR where you could stop and pickup live broadcasts so you don’t miss anything. The screen is huge but the screen real-estate is wasted. The display has mostly redundant information. The time display blocks out radio settings for the higher channel information, current channel information is redundant to current display and the lower channel display just tells you the pre-set number. It would be nice if the display was used to tell you what song was on those presets but it just works like a tradition button radio.
Here is what is keeping me from going back to the factory radio, the sound quality. This unit made a very big difference in the quality of the sound. It is as different as night and day. The Pioneer is so much better than the factory radio even with the factory speakers. I could not believe the difference and improvement. It is outstanding.
If your primary reason for getting this unit is for the GPS then get a Garmin and use it in conjunction with your factory radio. However, if you don’t mind giving up Ford Sync to get better sound quality then you might want to consider this unit.

pioneer avic-z120bt
This is a Pioneer Avic-z120bt. All and all i give it a 3.5 out of 5. The DVD quality is very good. It is ok for navigating through all of the options while driving. It has everything you could ever want out of a in dash cd, dvd player. The navigation is horrible on it. I would have rated it 4.5 out of 5 if the navigation was better. The GPS will turn a five minute drive into a twenty five minute drive. If going on a state to state tip trip it works fine. In my home town I just have to get to the freeway, then it will do ok. The back-up camera is a very nice added feature. I had to buy the CAMERA separate, but highly recommend getting one if you plan on buying this for your vehicle. When starting your car, it will take about fifteen to twenty seconds for the Pioneer unit to turn on. That being said, you can start the car put the vehicle in reverse and the back-up camera will work without a problem. After backing out of your parking spot the Pioneer head unit will be ready to operate. You can watch netflix or youtube from your Iphone and I think a droid will work as well. I have a ipod in my glove box loaded with tons of music, and am able to control the ipod from the head unit. I recommend the Pioneer avic-z120bt, if you do not care about the navigation. If the navigation is important to you, I highly recommend doing some more research on other brands. I hope this helps. I made a video on this product. You can see it at: http://youtube.com/watch?v=y3yxSbinuVQ

The ABSOLUTE Best Head Unit
I have had Kenwood, Clarion, and Pioneer Decks. I switched from a Pioneer 700BT to this unit. Unlike the 700BT, the AVIC-Z110BT has: more dynamic volume, no audible hiss at high volumes, very fast operating system, and a very responsive touch screen. The features are amazing. I also love the backup cam too (BUY IT TOO!!!). Bar none, you cannot go wrong with this unit. If I owned a $1,000,000 supercar, I'd have this unit installed.

The function note is:
Design 10/10
Sound : 10/10
Video : 10/10
ipod control : 10/10
Bluetooth audio 10/10
Sirius: 3/10 (only one line display)
Pioneer software : 0/10 (Avicfeed and iphone app. is worthless for now)
GPS 2/10 (Not accurate if you don’t program a destination)
And check if your car have a vss output ! ! !
If yes, the GPS is MAYBE better.
I don't think I’ll buy Pioneer again, but I’ll definitely buy sonic stuff again. Very nice shopping experience and the all include price is very appreciate.

Never Again
Bought it Feb 2008 after less than 100 hours it quit - nothing but "starting up.." text message - no stereo. Nav isn't very good and certainly not intuitive to operate. No where as good as the 10 year old Garmin Street Pilot it replaced. I still don't know how to drop a way point while moving. Even at it's best the nav reset sometimes and sometimes couldn't nav to a previously validated address.

Factory Quality
The Z110BT which is now upgradeable to a Z120BT is a very good unit with all the features or more that are factory installed, with different add on modules you can have Sirius, XM radiio, GPS, rear view camera and iPod operation and voice command control. The units also have Bluetooth capabilities for hands free cell phone operation obviously quality stereo and movie capabilities. This unit with all the modules combined can more than emulate the factory Ford SYNC System.

Pioneer AVIC Z3 Review
I love it! SonicElectronix.com has great fast service.
The only thing I would recommend with your Pioneer AVIC Z3 is the bypass guide.
It will show you how to unlock all features while driving like DVD movie/video playback and navigation input. It is really easy to do.

Great and user friendly..
I currently have this unit in my Cadillac and it is very universal and not complicated to use like some of the other navigation pieces out there. I also have a AVIC-Z1 in my suburban. So as you can see I highly recomend this product. You'll love it.

Awesome system for a great price!
The product was easy to install and very user friendly. The only problem I had with this unit was that it kept telling me that the parking break sensor wasn't connected correctly. But they released an update to eliminate that problem soon after I noticed it. It's nice not having to have one of those bluetooth headsets now that it is connected to my stereo. The voice activated POI search is a great tool as well, it has showed me places that I didn't even know were there. The voice activated music selection is the greatest idea ever, as I don't have to take my attention off of the road to find what I want to listen too. I am a long time fan of Pioneer and will continue to buy their products after seeing that they're still making great units. I look forward to see what they are working on next.

I Love It!!!!!!!
This navigator/blue tooth receiver/radio/movie player is the most impressive, and enjoyable piece of equipment I could have added to my car. The cost is well worth every cent spent to get it. To get a better idea of how great it is look it up on www.youtube.com and watch a few videos of it in action you will be amazed I know I am. It literally makes me want to drive more often.
The bluetooth syncs within seconds
The stereo system is perfect
The navigation is very accurate and up to date right out of the box and has millions of points of interest you can find very easily by category or by voice command
I added the MSN direct don't bother with that because MSN will be discontinuing service in 2010 but it's great for the time I have it and very inexpensive. ($30 for two years of service)
Bottom line is buy it you won't be disappointed and you will be hard pressed to find a cheaper price anywhere else.

Great Unit, but beware bluetooth
This unit is really a treat to use every day and makes my commute a breeze. I installed it with the XM receiver as well as steering wheel controls. The one HUGE NEGATIVE with this unit the the bluetooth call quality. The callers sound clear on the stereo, but they cannot hear you through the static and echo. If you do your research on the internet, you will find that this is a known problem with both the Z110 and Z120. I thought with BT in the product name, that the BT would actually be useful. Pioneer has been no help, so I have had to turn off the bluetooth feature and purchase a BlueAnt S4 which works great. So, if you are not going to use the hands free phone feature, (or voice commands for navigation or iPod, since those commands run through the same faulty voice circuit) this unit is great. However, if you are like me and have a long commute and need to use the BT feature for important calls, pick another unit or use another hands free BT device.

Pioneer AVIC-Z2
This replaces a garmin my wife was using. She loves it. Easy for her to use. The routing choices are limited and often it wants to take me a different way than the "fasters" (selected option). It toutes a lot of POI but I am finding some do not exist (never did), long time businesses are not included, Most of the add ons should be standard (e.g., back up camera, blue tooth). The CD process for loading pictures and songs should be updated to a usb or sd card. Oh and it should be limited to the start up screen and background screen. It should be able to store a number of pictures and scroll them. This is a great product. The only thing better in a carpc.

Best I've ever had
I love this system, it has so many features that are easy to use compared to my last one (different brand). I love it so much, I'd rather that this car out because of the easy of use on the navigator as compared to the truck. The touch screen is large, easy to clean, and is sensitive enough to pick up very subtle touches. This in turn makes me believe that is will last longer. It has a very crisp sound to it also, even with the factor speakers in my car, and lots of ways to adjust the sound for anyone's liking.

overall great buy
I purchased this unit to replace the indestructible AVIC-D3, what a great unit that was, now for this unit, the AVIC-Z130BT will impress you with its looks and how user friendly it is, I am very happy with it except that I had to get rid of my CD-changer, which will hook up but the unit cannot control it, other than that I must say it is amazing. I'm still learning how to use it but I like everything so far. Can't wait to see my Netflix movies on the road and listen to my favorite Pandora station U2 radio

Nice!!
I'll start off by saying I love the Bluetooth in this unit. My phone syncs about a minute after the unit itself boots up, which doesn't take long. I have a kenwood flip out in my other car and the z130 is much more user friendly then the kenwood. Sound is clear, iPod connectivity works almost perfect, with a few hiccups here and there. Nav will take you to the front of where ever you're going. 4 out 5 because its a very good head unit but not perfect.

Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT
I installed this in our E350 ford van with a 15" tv in the back. Great unit. Start up is a bit slow sometimes but otherwise it is great. Was able to hook up the x-box to it and went on a 3000 km road trip around Christmas and had no complaints with the kids. Rear view camera unit also works well. Color during the day and night vision at night. Hard to imagine buying this much tech for so little. Manual is a little daunting at 320 pages.

Love pioneers!!!
I started off with the avic-910bt and I upgraded to this model for the screen size and the other great features. It's not cheap but worth the extra $$$ if you have it.
Pros- fast loading, screen size, 3d mapping, netflix
Cons- I'm not sure on this one but the day/night lighting doesn't work. I think it's the position of the nav cord or the little blk box at the end of it. Pretty much I haven't had any issues with it "knock on wood". I would recommend this to any Pioneer fan!!!

Awesome Head Unit
Expensive but it's big and has ALOT of features. I've had this for almost a year and it's really amazing.
The screen is huge, it looks flush and stock with my 07 Nissan Altima
Pros:
-Good user interface
-Touchscreen
-HD Radio, aha radio, musicsphere
-Lots of equalizers and adjustments you can make to improve your speakers
-GPS never got me wrong
-FREE LIFETIME TRAFFIC UPDATES AMAZING (you'll see major highways and constructions blink different colors it's really cool)
-SD Card input, Ipod adapter is amazing connecting to my iphone and synching bluetooth
Cons:
-Slow loadup from start
-VR a little laggy
-GPS Maps don't show all the street names, however it does get you from point A to B
-Bluetooth Audio does not work no matter what I've tried for Iphone 4S
-It feels as if the touchscreen doesn't respond as quickly as you want it to; you really need to put some elbow grease and press harder to change things. So it's not really sensitive.

Avoid!!!
I bought this unit for my 2009 F150. Big mistake. The unit decides what it wants to play, so every time you turn it on, you never know what it is going to do. It often changes from my iPod to the radio, which is annoying since this has the worst reception of any head unit I have EVER seen.
The unit is supposed to create an index of your iPod so you can more quickly access artists and songs. Even though it claims to update the directory, it never works.
The touchscreen is painful to use, it will act as if you have selected something when you are trying to scroll through the menu, even if you do not lift your finger off the screen. Everybody that tries to use it hates it.
The sound quality is OK, not great by any stretch of the imagination. Not even close to the Eclipse units I have in other vehicles. I would consider this one of the worst purchases I have made for car audio in a decade.
