Good addition to Pioneer deck

Oregon changed the laws to make it illegal to talk on your cellphone in a vehicle, so I added this to my wife's truck since she had a Pioneer deck. The install was simple, my only complaint is that the color on the cable plugin on the unit was a little misleading, so I initially plugged it into the 'out' port. After reviewing the documentation I found my mistake and corrected it. The unit has worked really well to date. My wife's blackberry connects automatically and I'm able to connect my LG chocolate touch manually when her phone isn't connected. The sound quality is good for in the car. So far we've been very pleased with the unit. I marked a 3 on the value since it seems a little on the spendy side to me, I would have liked to have paid around $45 - $55 for it.

Great bang for the buck

This works with any pioneer deck. The module is small sized, great functionality and signal strength. The mic is small and good. The sound quality is excellent. The install was a breeze, although the installation manual is bit confusing. However, this is a must for a non-bt Pioneer deck. Makes driving way easier.
Also, don't worry for your sub, the module cuts out the low sounds so the sub will not work when someone is talking to you, even if they tap the phone. Also, my deck is DEH-P5800MP with Nokia 6300. Its definitely a must.

Works great! - Stay safe!

I added this to the Pioneer CD deck in my Toyota Corolla. It works great and allows me to stay safe and not miss calls while driving. Now I can jam as loud as I like with no worries about not hearing an important phone call.
My only complaint is that it does not play the voice dial confirmation through the speakers (the built-in bluetooth in the higher model Pioneer deck I have in my other vehicle does play back the voice confirmation through the speakers).
If you are replacing a receiver, buy one that already includes bluetooth. If you just want to upgrade a bluetooth compatible receiver, this is the ticket.

Great value, easy to mount and use.

This is an excellent Bluetooth unit. I mounted it behind the centre console in my Toyota Hilux 4WD so it is completely out of sight. The unit allowed me to run my Pioneer radio/cd/mp3 as well as my Pioneer CD stacker. Pairing with the mobile phones I use was very simple to set up. I purchased this unit Sonic Electronix in the US and had it shipped to Western Australia. It was cheaper to do this than buy it in Australia, despite the bad exchange rate at present.

Works, but obsolete vs. newer units and VERY expensive

This Bluetooth add-on unit hooks up great with my AVH-P4200DVD and was pretty easy to install, but for the price the total lack of 2011 Bluetooth features is a crime. I can't believe Pioneer charges so much for this unit, though SonicElectronix has the best price around.

It does phone calls, voice dailing, and music streaming pretty well, but dont expect much else. No contacts list, no ability to control microphone level, no on screen signal, battery, or service meter, and minimal user-programmable controls make it obsolete vs. newer (and cheaper!) models on the market. For basic phone calls and music streaming, this unit works pretty well, but as far as features and bang for your buck, it is a flop.

Functions perfectly

I installed this unit with an AVH 4300. It syncs perfectly with my Motorola Windows phone. Streams music also. Has limitations with my head unit but I knew this beforehand. Will not upload a phone book, identify callers and you have to initiate calls from your phone. But what it does do it does well and the sound is great.

Works well so far

I had this installed while I was on leave from Iraq, so I haven't gotten to use it that much yet, only about a week before I came back. But it worked very well. The main reason I wanted this was to all Pandora to stream over the Bluetooth to my AVH-P4300DVD. The only downside is it doesn't display track information or artwork on the head unit, but it does allow for skipping songs. A couple of people had issues hearing me on a couple of calls, but I haven't adjusted the microphone settings or even looked to see if that's possible. The muffler on my truck is pretty loud, so it could be part of the problem. I would recommend this to anyone who has a compatible head unit. It doesn't allow access to the phone book. Call history is pretty basic, too. But I knew both of those before I bought it. It still would be nice to have a better interface displayed on the screen and allow me to see my phone book.

Choose a unit with bt built in.

I had a Pioneer AVHP3300 that had integrated blue tooth and it worked great: answered calls, had a dial pad uploaded all contacts and notified of texts. I decided to upgrade to the larger screen unit AVHP4300 and the blue tooth add on. It only has BASIC functionality: you have to dial from your phone, no phone contacts, no text alerts. Overall it works but not a great addition to a really nice head unit.

Pest Control Advisor

Love this BT, with face plate volume control I can hear the conversation very well. The only issue I have with the Pioneer unit is that I have to reconnect each time the power is turned off. The BTB200 is much better than an ear piece.

Best Bluetooth Product Ever!

Easy to install, plugged straight in to my 7" DVD head deck. Superb clarity, no annoying echo on the other end, great in car sound. Works well with multiple mobile phones. Only problem is the iPhone's phonebook does not transfer, but that is more a problem for Apple I think.

Dont buy

This bluetooth unit is the worst Ive ever used. It has trouble with syncing to almost any phone, Ipods are a different story if its not an apple product other phones dont want to connect. The calls are not clear and with the headunit AVH4200 from pioneer your very limited to what you can do.

CD-BTB200

Just installed this in my car, it works like a factory installed unit. It is cheaper here on sonicelectronix, and I looked everywhere. Time to get to my house was quicker than I expected. Overall experience was great and would order more in the future, thanks sonicelectronix.

Works Great!

Had installed this system into my Subaru Legacy GT Limited. It was hooked into my Pioneer AVIC D3. The system works very well with my Blackberry Bold 9900.

The only glitch, is that I have not been able to figure out how to have my Blackberry phone book contacts transfer to the AVIC, via Bluetooth.

Other than that, everything works flawlessly, including playing music off of the Bluetooth connection.
