Great Item
Love this unit. It does everything it says and sounds great. Can't beat the functions of this unit for the price.

decent, nothing spectacular
Decent deck with pretty good reception. Rubber cover over USB port was a pain causing mis-reads so I cut it off with nail clippers. The USB port is wonky and feels cheap when using a memory stick. iPod operation is great. Remote is great. This head unit hates cold temps and is clumsy and slow when temps drop below freezing. I wish I would have bought the comparable JVC unit. Also, it seems there is alot of redundant buttons and menus on this unit. Could've been simpler in design. MP3 discs don't always play all the tracks...weird.

Good sound quality
I bought this more for quality instead of features. I bought a touch screen Jensen and found tons of glitches. With the pioneer deck, I haven't had any problems at all. The sound sounds smoother. I looked at the great pictures sonic has and found this would work with my system perfectly. I use itunes so it was a bit of a pain to convert the files, but thats because I was too cheap to buy the more expensive ipod compatible unit. I still like the usb feature more than the aux feat on any radio because of the better sound quality.

Pioneer is the best
I recommend this product. The unit was easy to install and makes my factory speakers sound better than they did with my factory stereo. The volume is amazing and the sound quality is the best I ever heard from a system yet. Great product for the price I paid.

Volume Max 62
I'm not sure how the processor works but it works fast. Easy to use and install for any vehicle to make a clean setting for the sound. The only thing this does not feature is an extra RCA cable to link all 4 speakers or subwoofer depending on your setup. Another thing to watch for is when you have the volume past 50. It tends to create distortion to the high notes in an unkind manner however does affect the low notes as well but, human hearing declares no problem of hearing low note distortion. Recommended to gain this item as a simple upgrade to the car audio world.

Pioneer DEH-2200UB
I bought this head-unit about 2 weeks ago. I was pretty impressed at first sight. It has just the right amount of chrome accents (very minimal) and during the day, the red or green buttons (Depending on what you set it to) light up but they are not noticeable, so in the daylight, it looks like a black and chrome head-unit (This is a plus for me).
It's pretty full featured, I just wish it displayed the song info and station info while listening to FM radio, but it's not much of a problem, since most aftermarket head-units don't.
The volume is EXTREMELY clear, and you'd be hard pressed to listen to this above 25 or so. I turned it up to about 42 once and it really hurt my ears. Also, if you turned the stereo down to less than 5, you can still hear everything crystal clear, not like most head-units which distort the sound or muddy it up instead of actually turning down the volume.
The screen is bright and clear, daytime or not. I live in West Texas, so I know what bright sunlight is, and it's still very readable to me.
Reception of FM is pretty good. Have only tried it in the city so I don't know how good the range is.
Pioneer has always been a respected brand as far as price/quality ratio goes. Of course, I'm sure there are better head-units out there, but at what price? Like I said, the price/quality ratio is unbeatable.
The manual has clear instructions. I think the only thing this stereo is missing is the Radio ID feature, another set of pre-amps, and maybe they could've added a blue color option and a dimming feature.
If you have a stereo that you need to push buttons for the volume instead of a dial, trust me this is much better. Oh, by the way, the menus do get a bit to get used to, but once you do, it'll be fine. I just think that it still takes 1 or 2 button presses to get to something than it needs to, but it would affect the aesthetics of it to have too many buttons.
Don't hesitate to get this head-unit, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it.
P.S. Sonic Electronix is a great company.

good head unit for the price
I purchased this unit when it came out. The iPod and USB ports are nice to have. Wish the USB port plugged in from behind though. Also the radio doesn't "react" fast enough. It seems to lag a lot. Also it works fine if its on a cd, auxillary, or usb function, but on the radio function its extremely quiet, even with the loud funtion turned on. Overall the radio is great if you only listen to your iPod. I like the radio but I'm looking at getting a new one.

Good Deal
This radio has plenty of options and has great sound quality, especially using an amp and subwoofer.

Pioneer DEH-2200UB
I purchased this model CD player and six months in, the dang thing started shorting out. Everyone's best bet is to buy the higher end models, because the cheap models don't last.

GOOD HEADUNIT FOR THE PRICE!!
this thing puts out great top notch sound, i wouldn't expect anything less from a pioneer product. i was disappointed when this head unit didn't have the crossover feature and/or the feature which you can single out the freq. that the eq. controls like my last pioneer did. but that's ok because the last one didn't have the ipod, aux in, or pre amp outs on it so i think its an even trade off. the ipod interface on this is nice. takes a little bit of time to load the next song on my 30gb ipod video, but thats because of the 4500+songs i got on it. on my nano it loads songs up quick and brings the songs up almost instantly. the sound retrieve feature is nice too, further making the sound even higher quality. the free install kit sonic gave me worked great for a very clean install. it looks like this headunit was factory! the wire kit was good also even though i ran my own speaker wires. the shipping was also good and fast even though i live across country from sonic.

awesome headunit
Always buy pioneer and this headunit just helped me remember why. The USB is great. It charges the iPod while it plays. It is also safer because u can just change songs from the headunit. Having an awesome experience with this headunit and will continue to buy pioneer products.

Great Value
Great deck for a good price. Works great, easy to use. Reads plenty of formats, has an aux input on the faceplate which is very useful. Does not have a separate sub out but other than that it's a great deck.
Ships fast and even came with the mounting equipment for my car. Will definitely order from Sonic Electronix when I decide to upgrade my system.
