awesome

This deck is the best deck I've bought so far. I used to have an old pioneer with super tuner3 but this one blows it out of the water! the sub outs are fantastic, the eq settings are probably the best part. Overall great buy

Does exactly what I need it to do

This unit is fantastic. Sound balance is key whether using stock speakers or a more upgraded system with a subwoofer,

I wanted a sleek, seamless way to play my large lossless music collection in the highest quality possible. Connected to this deck, I currently have an angled usb cord routed to a storage compartment under my dash where I keep a usb-powered hard drive with my ENTIRE music collection on it. I like high quality, so I keep most of my music in flac on my computer. With a simple conversion, I change it to wav which this unit supports. Even with around 150 artists' songs in wav, a 250 gig hard drive is enough to hold it all. The unit's controls make browsing for artists quite easy. Somehow it even retains and uses all the tag information from flac to wav... (artist, title, album, track, etc... all there!). Startup time is pretty slow with so much data to sift through (almost 15-20 seconds), but once up it never lags.

I already had newer speakers (also Pioneer) and a powered sub to fill in the LFE. I love the balance between the sub and the speakers... all very adjustable, all very complimentary. My sub's powered amp has a very strong signal to work with, easing stress on it to deliver power. This caused overheat issues for me with my older pioneer, but not with this unit.

Kinda wish it had RDS, but can't say I use the radio much anyway.

Also, whoever said it was hard to set the clock is an idiot... turn the unit off, then press and hold the control knob. The first option in this menu that appears is to set the clock. The control knob's aesthetics don't bother me either—not too stubby as some have claimed.

Look forward to many years of enjoying this deck!

good stereo for the price

I installed this radio about 6 months ago and love it. sometimes its a little slow and lags. Also it sometimes takes a while to read the ipod when I connect it through the usb. other that that its simple to use and I definately reccommend it to others.

Good system for the pice

This stereo system offers great sound and serious audiophile features, however, it is not without its design flaws, too. Setting presets are not easy and definitely should be done before hitting the open road. I've owed this system for 6mos. and still can not set the clock ...end-user stupidity, probably.
That said, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new car stereo. My wife and I love the USB port, which essentially makes both the clock and station search woes non-issues.
Bottom line, price and quality make the Pioneer DEH-3200UB a no brainer.

Liked it so much I bought two!

Replaced an Aiwa headunit in my wife's Civic with this receiver and was so satisfied with it, I bought another one for my Mustang. Just got the 2nd one hooked up in my car and it sounds excellent! Plenty of power for windows-down moderate volume, but will need an external amp unless you want to trim a lot of the bass out of it for high volume listening at highway speeds.

The bang for the buck with this receiver can't be beat. More features than many much more expensive units. The EQ control is great as well as the subwoofer control and bass boost. Takes a little bit to get used to iPod navigation, but not a huge deal.

Fantastic

Can somebody say, MONEY WELL SPENT! I actually owned a pioneer head unit a couple years back and i wasn't too pleased with it. So this time around i really did some research and checked all customer reviews. Boy oh boy did i ever make the right choice with sticking with Pioneer. This head unit is very high quality for its price. I cant say enough about it. It's so intuitive but very easy to learn once you play around with it for about an hour or two. I made sure that it played everything that it said it could and therefore i gave it the works. I threw CDs at it, Flash drives, and my ipod. What actually surprised me was that my IPOD (with the usb cable) worked flawlessly. I saw some customer complaints that you couldn't use the Apple USB cable but mine worked without hesitation. Anyway, i could go on and on but if you're looking for an economical but very high quality head unit then get this one, you won't regret it.

ups and downs....and silence

I've owned this unit for about 9 months now, and for the last 2 months it's been shorting out on me. don't know if it's a factory problem, or a highly recurring one, but besides these last 2 months of guessing if i'll be able to listen to my car stereo when i get in it, it has been one of the better units i've purchased for the amount it costs.

Nice!!!

I just installed this head unit in my car and it made a huge difference. I had another Pioneer unit it the car but it was about 10 years old and VERY outdated. The sound quality is much better and I like the adjustable equalizer. Plus having an iPod hook up is good too. An added bonus is the different illumination colors from red to green. Didn't realize it had this when I purchased it. For the money this is an excellent head unit and fairly easy to use. I would recommend it!!!

High quality sound

I've had this for about a month and a half now and love it. The sound quality improved over my old sony head unit. I like the numerous options you have to tune the sound as well, it can really make a difference. The only trouble I'm having is that it won't read my ipod sometimes and will throw an error 15 code, and I have no idea how to get it to switch from the sub setting to the rear speaker setting. My rear speakers won't play any sound, just bass. Overall it's good, it just may take some time to figure out

GREAT SOUND!!!!

I bought this deck 2 weeks ago and had it put in today. I drove around a little using my ipod and i did not know i could get that sound from my stock speakers. clear sound and i love everything about it. the only thing i would advise is that if you are buying it for your ipod you need to buy a connector for it. you cannot just use the USB cable that comes with your ipod. but i do use my AUX cables and can use my ipod USB to charge it while i drive. i would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great deck at a low price!

Ok head unit

This head unit is ok and has some nice basic features. The money would be better spent on the counter part from Sony though. The unit's face feels cheap and the buttons are not very firm.

Ok unit if you like the way it looks.

Buy this!

finally got the cash to toss old cd player, and had the $ for w/e I wanted and liked the features, style and layout of this to some other higher end pioneer models. Same power as most every pioneer in the "under $200" range love it for the USB port- hate messing with an ipod while driving- now i just carry a few flash drives with different genres to replace 50 cd's I used to carry- it's got a really nice "search feature" in USB mode also- you really can't go wrong with pioneer ever! stay away from "bargain brands" you'll kick yourself later, trust me. was also gonna add another sub to my system but after I got this cd player I think I'm ok. great sub outs. only small gripe is the multi-function button takes a few minutes to get used to when initially tuning your stuff in, but that's all-i highly suggest

Great

Being that this is the most inexpensive pioneer head unit that has built in crossovers in it, Wow, what a deal. Tune out all of the bass to the door speakers so just your sub is bumpin. What a good deal. Plenty of options. Ipod, usb flash drives work great with it too. Awesome buy if you don't want to buy bass blockers.

Works great

Works with my iPod Touch 4G, haven't tried Pandora or any of the extras to see if they work while working near WiFi. Good sound but wish it got louder. One of the few stereos I've had trouble changing the clock, and I've had around 15 or more aftermarket car stereos. JVC, Eclipse, Kenwood, Alpine, never had to read a manual, until Pioneer. Same thing with the work Pioneer. I don't really have issues with the controls, like some people have mentioned. Excellent stereo for the price, great value. I like the features compared to the new DEH-3300UB. They cut back on something, outputs or the equalizer, or something. That's why I went with the older model.

great value for a good stereo

great sound, I bought this stereo for my Jeep Wrangler, something not to expensive because of the open top, but in hopes of good sound. not one bit disappointed. hang on to the instruction book though, changing the clock setting can be a little tricky. matched with pioneer speakers, loud enough to hear clearly at 70 mph with the top down. great buy

Great Product!

Pioneer did it again! This is the best stereo system for the price. Sound quality is great. I have this system in my Chevy blazer also with 4 Pioneer TS-G1643R and it sounds amazing! There are no cons with this product. If you want to buy a after-market stereo for under $100, this is it. Sonic Electronix also had FAST shipping and all the products I bought were all there when I received everything, will do business again for sure.
