Good value from pioneer

I bought this unit for my g/fs car and must say for an entry level head unit its not to bad at all, it lacks certain features, like some sub controls but great features overall.

This deck is great for people who dont want to pay alot for a deck or just want to replace their existing deck. Its great for an average user and has some great sub controls. Overall its good for the price and pioneer makes the best decks.

great cd player

After owning this cd player for about six months, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I especially love the mp3 capability so I can have thousands of songs on 5 or 6 cds. The sound quality is great too, all the way up to max volume. Definitely recomended.

nice little unit

I had this unit for over a year and never had any problems with it. Great F.M. reception. I like the S.L.A. feature. This allows the tuner, cd, and X.M. to remain on the same level when switching between them. You can boost or lower the level. Nice sub controls. All in all not a bad head unit. If your a beginer this is a great unit.

Good reciever for the price

I own a Pioneer DEH-P4600MP, which is almost identical exeapt for the faceplate. I had a Alpine CDA-7873 but, it got stolen. I recommend any pioneer to someone looking to upgrade from thier stock head unit. Pioneer's quality is 2nd only to Alpine in my opinion, but much cheaper. If your looking to have subs then a pioneer with three 4-volt preamp outputs is a great way to go if your not looking to invest big bucks.

Lovin' the Pioneer

I bought this head unit for a few reasons. It gets the job done and has some nice features. I like that it comes with a remote, allowing people in the back to take over while you drive. I love the preset EQs, especially the "Superbass" and "Powerful" settings. I have replaced many things in my car but the head unit has always stayed. It is VERY easy to use, meaning it is set up user friendly so you can find what you need quickly. The LOUD option is also a nice feature. Removable faceplate is a bonus as well. I would recommend this head unit for people who are lookng for a good product at a cheap price.

Pretty decent deck, rather have a Kenwood though...

I bought this deck around a month ago for my 96 accord to replace the stock tape deck. First, the bad: The scrolling feature (for MP3 CDs) SUCKS, you have to hold down a button and then it only scrolls once, so if you have a long song title, every time you change songs you have to hold down the button. On my Kenwood deck it is automatically set to scroll and does it with every song. Next would probably be the fact that it only has 2 sets of preouts, but running my subs off the rear set sounds decent. If it had a set specifically for subs it would probably sound better. Also I don't understand the purpose of the volume knob that pushes in, Ive never pushed it in before and dont plan to!

But this is a nice deck. Even with my 9-10 year old stock paper cone speakers and thin stock wiring, it makes them sound pretty decent, much better then the stock Honda deck. MP3 browsing speed is very fast, along with CD playback as well. Great FM reception wherever I am, even with the antenna built into the rear windshield. I noticed reception is much improved with this deck over stock. This deck also looks really nice sitting in my dash, Im very happy with the looks of it. Overall its a very, very nice deck, but I wish Id bought another Kenwood. BTW I bought this at C***** C*** and paid $200 with the harness and dash kit, so be sure to buy it from here!

Solid, but feels cheap...

I just installed this in my brother's car and it's pretty solid. Has quite a few features for the price including several preset EQ settings and pre-outs. The multicolor LED display is very easy to read and navigate through. The FIE (Front Image Enhancer) isn't useful, I found that it made the overall quaility of the music muffled and muddy, I highly recommend to make sure this is off!

It does feel and act cheaper then my Pioneer's Premier head-unit, which makes me somewhat weary of purchasing anything but the Premier units.

All in all a very strong head-unit that produces clear clean sound from whatever source (CD, MP3 CD, and even an iPod!).

Great pick for any system

Pioneer decks are kick ass decks, i highly recommend this deck or one similar to it from pioneer. The decks are all high quality and have many different EQ adjustments that can be made for enthusiasts such as myself, not only that but you can turn your subwoofers on and off with the touch of a button, it has a high pass filter on it, it has auto mute features if you have a cell phone car kit, its all great stuff, great power, great reliability, great sound, great control, and it doesnt look to shabby either, great pick

Pioneer 4700

This is a good head unit. I installed it in a rather short period of time. It was easy to set everything up how i wanted it with my subs. It's really a simple set-up, good for people who don't want to get something thats to confusing.
