I like it but.........

I really like this head unit but I'm disappointed with the manual that was sent with it,the manual tells you what the all the different functions are but doesn't go into detail explaining exactly what they do for the e.q.and it does not have a mute on the head unit, only on the remote.

Overall good unit though.

pioneer does it again

I bought this for my wifes car to replace an old deh-80mp that still worked great but looked a little rough, and this deck is even better the any pioneer that i have had it is alot easier to use then it looks. i have no complaints.

Irritaiting

I used to run nothing but Pioneer head units in my vehicles, but since I've bought this head unit, that has all changed.

My first complaint is the "7-Way Rotary Commander," a.k.a. the knob. To access the main menu, you have to push directly down in the center of knob. Trouble is, I would always press up or to right and end up skipping to the next file or folder. If you did manage to press the knob correctly, the menu was not very easy to navigate while driving either.

Second, when using the USB input, the files are not sorted alphabetically, but by the order they are added to the drive. DUMB! Also, whenever you press the List button, you'll be taken the first file of the first folder every time, rather than the file you're currently playing.

The worst complain I have is the annoying background hiss. No, I can assure you it was not an installation error, this head unit is just poorly designed. It wouldn't be so bad if I couldn't hear the hiss over the music or engine... but I could. I've heard cassette players with less background noise.

I eventually exchanged this head unit for a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X791 and couldn't be happier. Much easier to use and much better sound quality.

Pioneer DEH-P6000UB

When I first saw the deck I fell in love with it, know wha I mean? As long as you get good ground for these decks you get know feed back whatsoever, just get a one sided razor and scuff the area before grounding.

I love it

It is such a cool Stereo. Everyday I find something new for me to play with on it. If I get bored of the background I change it. Usb input is cool, I can put all my music on an ipod or flash drive then have every song w/o changing cd's

Best Head Unit I Have Owned

I have had this head unit for nearly three years now. I have used it in all three of my vehicles and it has never let me down. I really like the ipod control and the all the different ways to control the EQ. And not to mention i got it for a great price. Great Product!

Great stereo

There is so much stuff to play with on this cd deck. It also has amazing sound quality, it doesnt make a buzzing noise at all. Works great with an I pod. Overall im glad i paid this much money, because this is a high quality cd deck.

Recommended headunit!

My buddy just picked up this head unit. It is a great starter unit. The EQ is easy and sounds great. 4volt preouts are awesome. The display is nice and clear. Looks great too.

Recommended for anyone!

Pioneer P6000

Another Great deck by Pioneer. Ive been working in the Car Audio industry for about 13 years now and always been fond of Pioneer. This deck is currently being tested in my car, ive yet to find a problem. the features are great, the EQ steady and simple with two custom settings, the ipod and usb work well. Nice BG's and BGV's. Overall good deck! i suggest getting to know the remote, as the 7way selectable seems a little flimsy, might break off on you, other then that, I'd rate this HU a 4 Out of 5

Its alright

Ive had this HU for almost a year now and its alright. Ive had a few issues with the wire harness and when u plug in an ipod u can get a hiss at low volumes. The HU allows u some control over the tuning of ur system and the direct ipod connection is pretty nice. Its not the greatest HU in the world but its a decent place to start.
