Highly recommend

April 2014. A recent purchase to upgrade a 20 year old outdated stereo in an old muscle car. The Pioneer head unit fit perfect along with a Rockford-Fosgate R400-4D amp. Great features like bluetooth, CD, and smartphone capability. User interface easy to navigate...that's why I chose this unit rather than a Kenwood stereo. Everything I read had the Kenwoods difficult to use. This Pioneer is really easy to get around. The custom color optimization is a great addition. What else sets this unit apart is the built in equalizer. It really customizes the sound to match your surroundings. Preout max level out is a hefty 4 volts, too. I highly recommend the Pioneer DEH-X8600BS stereo head unit.

good radio for the price.

For the price, it has everything a good sounding radio needs and none of the extra bells and whistles it doesn't. I would buy it again if I needed to.

Exceptional value

If all you care about is 3 sets of hi volt pre outs, durability, and aren't concerned about meaningless graphic shows on a display, this head unit is hard to beat for the money. RMS pre out voltage is actually closer to 5 volts, aftermarket steering wheel adapters hook up effortlessly, no motorized face plate to fail, the bluetooth feature couldn't be more user friendly, and it keeps things simple. Also, the look of it is classic Pioneer.

Great features and simple to use!

This is a very easy unit to operate and the features were just what I needed without a bunch of flashy crap and complicated menus.

Great value

This stereo has a lot of bang for your buck. The audio quality over Bluetooth is great. The call quality is very good as well, the stereo is installed in a diesel truck and even over the engine sound people can still hear me just fine. Sound quality through the USB and Auxiliary input are great as well. My only complaint is that the tuner is kind of weak, the factory radio picked up stations much better. This is only a minor complaint though, I've barely used the tuner at all, I have been streaming music over Bluetooth about 95% of the time I have owned it.

great head unit for money

i love this unit. everything hooked up the way its supposed to. sounds good too even though i still have OE speakers i put a sub in and i ALMOST don't have to buy aftermarket, but i will because I'm an audiophile nut.

the stereo sound good in a 2002 infiniti g20 with a boss bx55(9v)cross over to give the factory amp the power to push the stock (bose) speakers good

Amazing product.

You can't go wrong with this deck for the price. I have never had a problem with any pioneer deck I've owned. The Bluetooth works flawless on this haven't had a problem and the Mixtrax integration is pretty neat as well. Would recommend it to anyone.

This radio does everything I hoped it would. Easy to use bluetooth, when gps update come through the speakers, the radio lowers the music enough to hear directions then returns to normal volume level. Like that aspect. This radio has so much to offer and is very easy to use. Great product at a great price. For a Dodge 1500

Great value

By far the best pioneer deck I've owned. Easy to install and easy to control while driving. I do wish the deck had a pause and play botton on the unit so that way I don't have to use my phone or the remote to stop my music. But other them that im a satisfied Custamer. Thank you sonic electronix

Purchased this deck for a friend of mine. For the price you definitely cannot go wrong. Comes with a lot of features, such as the equalizer, it has 3 outputs for expandability options and it is fairly easy to use. Would recommend to basic users looking to upgrade in the feature.

Pioneer

I bought this unit because the eq on the jvc I had was to hard to operate but the pioneer is close to the same. I like everything about the unit I just wish the eq was set up alittle differently.
