One of the best pioneer units ive ever owned.. and the price was phenomenally great! easy interface, but many differnt features and settings. looks great, sounds even better! even if you have stock speakers this is a 5000% increase in sound quality! Id recommend this to anyone who is in dire need of great audio @ a great price.. Sonic Electronix is my new home for buying anything car audio......

great buy for ppl who dont want a double din or touch screen

i was initially looking for a double din unit, but didnt want a touch screen and after months of researching, all the other double din cd receivers lacked features i wanted in a +$200 deck; bluetooth, android friendly pandora, at least three '4 volt' rca outputs, dual rear usb, cd-mp3-etc...., and easy satellite integration if i ever feel the need to pay $15 a month to listen to the radio, nice display, etc...all wrapped up in the Pioneer name i've grown to appreciate. This unit is very easy to use (with the exception of removing the face plate; im not a manual reading guy so i may have to compromise to crack that puzzle) everything works well, added an Axxess steering wheel adapter to maintain factory steering wheel controls, also using an Alpine ktp445u with this receiver and its excellent. HUGE IMPROVEMENT over factory sound. dedicated sub output much better than the factory deck rcas - which sucked. for the price, you cant go wrong. i recommend this to anyone looking for a great headunit without getting too fancy (dont trust myself with a DVD player in my dash...and dont want to come back to a broken window and empty hole when i get out of work, feel me?)...shipping was a day early, thank u sonic

Hooked this up to some stock speakers for now and has great sound.I would diffenently recommend this head unit.

Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS

Good unit for the money. Handles a 32gb thumb drive with ease. User friendly. You must secure the USB cables to the back as they will come loose and cause read errors. A VERY GOOD INDUCTIVE NOISE FILTER IS A MUST! The built in 4 band EQ is a waste of time, you'll need a separate EQ.

All in one radio!

My original radio died and I needed a replacement, I found this one on sale, with the feature I needed, bluetooth, HD radio and CD player. Although somewhat complicated, it works great and easy to install. It comes with everything needed to install, instructions could use bigger pictures.

great unit

I purchased this largely on the sale price, seemed like a lot of deck for the price. Am very happy with it, everything works, sound is good (still using stock speakers), and the install went well. I've had a lot of luck with Pioneer over the years, will consider them first on my next deck.

Fantastic for the money

Its hard to complain about anything. Sure I'm not a huge fan of the way you operate the controls, but everything else is great. Highly recommended.

Stay Away

Bought this item and installed it. Went to activate the satellite radio and the radio would only work with the key on engine off. No signal was available with key on engine on. Called Pioneer and they said they are aware of the problem and it requires a software update and we had to ship it to California for the update. Sonic Electronix said they would refund at half the purchase price. Wonderful!

AWESOME!!

This thing is AWESOME! The bluetooth hands free calling works VERY well and HD radio is very clear. And I have an android phone and Pandora links through the stereo over bluetooth and works very well also. I love the myriad of adjustments possible to the display and button colors. Just adding this head unit to my car's factory monsoon stereo system makes it sound like I replaced all speakers also. :) (I put this in my 2007 Pontiac Vibe with the monsoon stereo)

Awesome

This is awesome and Sonic rocks. I dont normally write reviews but I was blown away how fast the free shipping was and the product was awesome. I bought a Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS and I like it a lot. The sound is great and I like being able to connect through BT. I also like the HD radio. For the price I give it an A+ and give Sonic a thumbs up.

great features, good value

I bought this head unit for two main reasons.
1) Bluetooth connectivity allows hands free use of cell phone when traveling. Set up was easy and it can be set to automatically answer incoming calls. All you have to do is talk and listen, hands free.
2) USB port allowed me to store my favorite music on thumb drive, insert into port and enjoy what I want to hear as I drive. The display is very readable and can be set to display time/date or press a button to display what is being played or display what is playing, press button to display time/date, phone book, etc.
Bluetooth and USB port so impressed me that I bought three of these. One for my van, one for my wife's car and one for my classic car.

CD Player

This is by far one of the best cd players that I have owned. I compared this to the new model that is out and if your looking for xm stuff the newer model would be a better choice. If your looking for a cd player to kick up the jams and rock out. I would pick this one in a heart beat. I plan on buying another one for my other truck right after the holidays. BY FAR THE BEST CD PLAYER EVER MADE

great design and you can change the color of the display and the keys
HD radio is great
looks nice and slick in my mustang
i keep my ipod in my glove compartment hooked up to my deck and i can change the music from the deck which i love because i dont need to mess around with the ipod anymore

Nice unit.....poor tech support.

This unit is exactly as advertised. Everything works flawlessly. Could do without the remote. Easier access to the presets would be nice. Bluetooth works great with my iphone as does the streaming audio. I would recommend this product.

Excellent

I had an older pioneer radio that I replaced with this and I am glad I did. I have always liked pioneer. For the price they make some really good stuff and they seem to be getting better. My 99 grand prix came from the factory with all bose. Now its all pioneer lol. Pioneer d series speakers, pioneer radio (this one), pioneer 4 channel amp, I just ordered a pioneer mono amp for my soon to be 12s and I am thinking of getting some kenwood subs but I may get pioneer. Either way I like this radio. Its quite easy to use and I like how it changes color and I love the usb that plugs in the back instead of the front.

Great radio

I replaced my double din radio with this because I wanted Bluetooth. This radio is really nice for the price.

Great Deck

I was very satisfied with this deck! The sounds output is powerful yet crisp and clear. Plus being able to run my phone from my deck while driving to make calls is very handy as well! I recommend this deck to anyone!

Sounds good, so so interface

Like the sound quality with sub control, but button layout and interface could be more intuitive. Multi function button has limited use and could take up less space by being 3 smaller buttons. The source/ power button is too small and hindered by the unnecessarily large multifunction button. Also wish there was a way to not show sources you aren't using so you don't need to scroll through a long list. Otherwise very happy with his purchase.

Easy install, Good BT support

The install went very smooth in a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I had the equivalent Kenwood and found that the Bluetooth would have to be unpaired/paired each time I turned off the ignition. Not the case with the Pioneer

The biggest con I have is that there is no front USB jack. I am still trying to figure out where I want to route the USB cable to.

Love this radio

This was a great buy. The radio works great with my iPhone 5. I had to buy the pioneer USB cable and a lighting pigtail. I haven't had any problems.

decent

everything works. i really like the hd radio, even though all the stations suck in my area, still a nice option to have. my last one picked up maybe 2 or 3 stations. sounds great. only thing i dont really like about it is that on the menu screens, due to the design of the trasitions it takes a second for it to switch. otherwise all in all a great H/U
