Good bang for the buvk.

I am a fan of Pioneer decks because if you are not putting together a 'high end' system, the Premier series is pretty good stuff. I got this along with a set of four Premier loud speakers and it gets the job done pretty well for the price.

Good: Inexpensive, pretty good sound, subwoofer gain features

Bad: The audio menus are not easy to navigate through and the dumb little round button causes problems when driving. I am always messing it up when hitting a bump or something. It distorts a little too much before reaching its peak power.

I would recommend the unit for someone who is replacing an old or factory deck and wants a quality sound with decent power. If you are looking for a higher level of performance, you may look else ware because this unit just does not put out enough power before the distortion kicks in if you are trying to push it hard.

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

i got this head unit about 6 months ago and i still am obsessed with it. it looks great in my jeep and u cant beat the remote when you have a backrow of seating. i have my ipod hooked up to this and ran it into my glove compartment and its the best thing since sliced bread. the blue really sets it off and the different opptions you can do with it are endless. (helps alot with different sub settings)

Difficult AUX setting use

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P3800MP).

I love the features of this device in my car but it is hard when you first get an iPod and want to connect it to your car stereo. I found out that the manuals and the tech support don't know anything about changing to the AUX settings. Apparently you have to go to the power off mode, then hold the button till you are able to change the time. Press function after that just to activate the AUX mode. Still having problems because I am using the RCA inputs on the back then the IP- Bus which I'm not willing to buy for 50$. Whoever designed has good taste in style, hard to use when you want more out of the Radio/CD player.

Does it all!

This is an all in 1 center piece that lets you control almost everything. Sounds great on stock speakers and very loud! I love pioneer decks because they are dependable and not outrageously expensive. Some cons though are; 1) the source sometimes switches when no buttons are pushed, 2) this is not the easiest to use{I have to read the manual every time I want to adjust the clock} and 3) the ipod control is not the most user friendly and skipping through songs can be slow. Other than that it looks great and should perform until it gets stolen again :)

Great Performance for the Price

This was the lowest price I could find when looking for a top level head unit at the best price. Pioneer has always had a great reputation and their Pioneer Premier brand are some of their best. This one lets you see the information associated with the music with minimal effort.

Sonicel Ectronix has done a fabulous job. The head unit is well worth the money.

Amazing sound!

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

This stereo is amazing. i loved pioneer to begin with but pioneer PREMIER totally blew my mind! i got 6.5" pioneer premier speakers (Class D's) as well to compliment the head unit. VERY nice sound. crisp, clear, and very good bass response. love it! The iPod connectivity feature is great as well. although the wheel might be a little bit slow when looking through the artists in your ipod (especially if you have a lot of artists), it is still a great feature! great buy! very much recommended.

Pioneer system

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

I did a custom install in an old muscle car i have restored. the blue lighting matches great with the cobalt blue gauges from auto meter. the controls seem difficult at first but once you go through the menus once or twice it is easy to navigate. The multifunction button is touchy sometimes depending on road conditions and suspension of car. Has option to hook up ipod or in my case hook up usb thumb drive that is controlled through the radio or remote for radio. I am very pleased. I purchased this radio, these speaker sets:TS-A532P,TS-A632P, and this sub: TS-W307D4. i would recommend the dual 2 ohm though, that way it can be wired in series with a 2 channel amp crossed over and you don't have to worry about finding an amplifier that is 2 ohm stable. This system is small compared to some i have seen but in my loud (exhaust system) mustang at freeway speeds i can drown out the exhaust note if i choose.

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

this deck is awesome. i love the feature where it gives you the option id you want to control the ipod from either the deck or the ipod itself. i personally like to control it from the deck but when i have passengers in the car they don't know how to change the song, but with this feature they can. its great.

also it has a high pass filter for your speakers and low pass for your subs. it really makes my car sound great with stock speakers and 2 10" p2 subs

Beautiful...a work of art.

Hey. My name is Rick, and I own this wonderful Pioneer radio. I just got it today, and I must say, its the best I have ever owned. No other radio I have owned comes close to looks, first impressions, and usability...if thats even a word. The 4 volt sub-out output on the back pushes my Pioneer 12's effortlessly, making the 1500 watt Power Acoustik amp sound that much better. The overall sound quality in the regular speakers is amazing as well. The highest I have had it so far about halfway up...about volume level 33, out of a total of 62. Even at 33, there was no distortion. it sounded the same as it did when it was at like...volume level 10. The USB port on the back charges my Sandisk Sansa "Fuze" mp3 player. Doesn't play any songs though, unless its hooked up through the AUX input, but I don't care. There have been times at work where the player died on me. With this headunit, I can charge it up while on break, which will be a nice touch. The radio gets in one my favorite radio stations. One that my old radio never did! All in all, this radio is well worth the money, one hundred percent. The bass is loud, tight, and very smooth. The sound quality from my 6.5's and tweeters is mind-blowing. Buy this radio and I promise, you won't be disappointed. There is way to much about this radio to discuss here. I have found no 'cons' with this stereo..only 'pros'.

Good Headunit

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

If your looking for a headunit with high voltage pre amps, a usb port, and good build quality this is for you. However, it does not have a lot of expandability features such as Sirius etc. Pioneer builds a very rugged head unit.

LOVE IT!!!!

Bought this on black friday also purchasing kicker door speakers. But this is a great head unit. Didn't need manual to figure stuff out. Use only my flash drive to play music, but the only thing is the songs in the album aint in the same order as they show on the computer when i put them on there. Idk if its the headunit or what but still love it! i'm 17 and this is my first deck. Now i'm trying to get 2 alpine type R's:) all this is in a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.

Love the product. Easy to install. Looks and sounds great. Sonic has the best prices around and have friendly employees; although, pick up was a little unorganized at first. Recommend to those who dont want to spend a lot but get a lot in return.

Not the best, nor the worst.

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P3700MP).

Not a bad cd player if thats all your looking for... a head unit that will play back CD's faithfully. If lacking in features and sound enhancments isn't an issue for you than this low end H.U. could be right for you. On the other hand if you like to have the best and latest equipment I'd pass on this unit and go with perhaps the 8600 model. Check it out I'm sure it will amaze you.

Lovin' my Premier

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

This has been one of if not THE best aftermarket head units I have ever bought. It's user friendly functions, fairly compact dimensions, and damn near infinite tuning capabilities make this deck a welcome addition to any system. I purchased this deck about 3 yrs ago in Phoenix @ a local shop and had it installed in my 07 Silverado. I added a BassLink and my truck was rockin. Since then, my Premier has seen 4 vehicles and has had no issues ever. The seperate subwoofer control, iPod, Bluetooth, and USB capabilities along with the 3 pre-amp outputs make this a great bang for the buck! My only gripe would be the tuning is alot easier with the remote! Mine was stolen and although it's a little more time consuming, all the tuning features are still accessable. With Pioneer / Premier economical in no way means cheap! The only way I would give this deck up is for a new Stage 4 head unit. Highly recommend this or the updated version of this stereo to anyone!

Great head unit.

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P390MP).

I'm a fan of Pioneer head units and they're all I ever ran and probably ever will. Well I got this Pioneer Premier deck pulled out of a junk car my brother-in-law had (he does mechanic work on the side and sometimes people give him cars when they can't pay or it's too messed up to fix, etc) and I have never had a better FREE head unit! LOL! The great thing about the Permier unit to me is really just the fact that it has a built in crossover so I can prevent my cheap speakers from hitting too low. I don't recall that feature having been there on my P2600. Pioneers are just so easy to install and work with. My only complaint about this deck is that some people are bothered by the blue ring light, but it's no problem for me. Also the MP3 file reproduction is not great and has too much bass-boost by default. Besides that, it's a great unit and if you're looking to pick it up, do it!

Awesome piece of equipment

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P400UB).

This deck is very loud and clear. I had a decent deck in before but this produces great quality! The iPod option is very cool it displays everything you want to see right on the screen of the unit: artist, song, album, playlist. Lots of options, bluetooth, and satellite radio. And has a two year warranty.

Good Deck

The following review is for a previous version (DEH-P390MP).

Pros: solid all around, has all the necessary features and some, and powerfull 22 watts rms
Cons: none, 4 on cosmetics/design just because its not too flashy

I got this to replace a cheap dealer installed cd player in my 98 civic DX coupe.
It made my stock speakers sound twice as good as before with the old cd player (just because it puts out 22 watts rms!). Its easy to use, i read some reviews about the volume nob being to sensitive and in the wrong place but its not at problem at all. Adjusting all the settings is really easy.
