Nice upgrade

i replaced my stock speakers with these in my 96 jetta and i am impressed with the sound quality. They look awesome too. It has extremely sharp and distinct highs and mids. the bass is nothing special but thats what you get a subwoofer for. the one thing i don't like is that the bass starts to distort when i turn the volume to 30 out of 34 on my HU. It might be my HU amplifier distorting but it is annoying that i can't turn the volume up all the way (i have a sony CDX-GT410U). Otherwise these speakers look and sound great. You can't beat the price that sonic sells these for, b*** *** sells the 3-way model of this speaker for $110

Worth the CASH!

I have used these speakers for six months on a 50x4 head unit. i can hear the music crisp and clear with all the windows down at 80 mph. What more can your ask for.

This speaker has lots of clarity and highs. Not much bass but it just might be my amp settings. heard this in an electronic store and it sounded awesome. Crisp highs, clean low bass, but not too much midrange clarity.

Way better than stock,

These speakers are a definite improvement over the stock door speakers in my 2000 accord (they were pioneers too, interestingly enough). They have a tad more bass but, it doesn't distort at any volume I've played so far ( and I've cranked it pretty high, 52 of 62 on my HU). The treble and midrange are also a lot clearer, and I can hear things that I used to only hear through my headphones.

Awesome set of Speakers!

Pros: Very loud, crisp sound. They are a good trusted brand, and dont distort a lot. They are fairly cheap for 4-ways, and can take a beating.

Cons: When installing the cover to go over the tweeters, the screws are not long enough to go through my door. I had to go buy new ones that barely worked. I also had to buy a new pair off of ebay (just the covers/protectors) for maybe $10.00, because from factory it is $60.00 for single one. This is more than I payed for the Speakers themselves! I had to buy new covers because I stripped the screw slots out... It is made for use with a screwdriver, not a screw gun! Whoops!

Overall: If you are careful installing them, they will last you a car's lifetime!
