Premier c720prs
Great build quality and good sound for decent price. The sound is comparable to much higher priced components of different makes. On moderate power with slight EQ'ing, they sound fantastic. Only thing that would make these better is a better crossover network. Great overall.

Great Speakers!!
These speakers are the best speakers I have ever owned in a car. They aren't very expensive for the quality, and they look sick. The only two problems that I have with them is that the crossover doesn't hit all of the frequencies, they miss around 2500-3500, and the tweeters are a little too big for my liking in which we had to customize them into the door panels. Other then that, the sound of these speakers are absolutely amazing and if I could go back I would definitely purchase them again!!

Lots of midbase, crips and clear.
I ended up buying the smaller version of these because it was easier to fit in my kick panels.
However every time I have heard these I am always impressed with the midbass. They go surprisingly low for a component set to.
They are advertised as an over sized 6 12(6 34) but measurements are actually just at 6inch in diameter. But they are a 6 34 driver, it's just that the metal frame is very narrow or close to the rubber surround. These are best used in a door and not necessarily in an enclosure.
These are definitely worth it for very strong midbass, they easily integrate with a subwoofer.
They will take lots of power and keep their composure however the tweets might tend to get harsh at higher listening levels. The stock x-over for the tweet is a bit low and probably why they get a bit harsh sometimes.
This line is hard to beat for the price.

wow
wow i installed these components in my 06 silverado krew cab and im useing for now just my pioneer avic-d3 deck to power them. those speakers are so loud that 1 minute into any song my ears start to crackle. sound quality with just the deck is very good, better then any JL audio component and is better then focal price wise. i recomend these speakers for anyone..i just bout a amp to see if i can raise the sound quality and the loudness of these bad boys and ill get back to you with my progress....great buy and price!

Awesome speakers
This is a great speaker set. The driver has a very solid bass response and you will be surprised a woofer this size can hit as low as it does. The tweeter is very solid with good imaging, but not too bright as to make your ears hurt. Great value for the money.

awesome speakers
These speakers are one of the best component sets I have ever heard/owned. I have had these speakers installed for two days and I absolutely love them. The highs are LOUD but don't hurt your ears.....the midbass wasn't what I thought it would be but I guess with high end speakers you have to let them break in a little bit. Definate buy. Pioneer 75w x 4 channel amp powering these speakers and my subs.

A Pioneer to compete with the best on the market
I heard about these speakers from a popular car and audio magazine and from my installer. While Pioneer and their Premier line has always been good, it has never really impressed me to the extent I would compare them to the best other manufacturers have on the market. I finally caved in and went to check them out at the local dealer. I was very impressed with the build quality of the speakers and crossovers. The price was also very reasonable for the materials used and what you were supposed to be getting. The mid-woofer was huge and heavy! The tweeters were also pretty big - being above 1/8" bigger than the usual 1" tweeters.
I got them installed a couple days later. The mid-woofer was installed in the doors (mounted in a 1" MDF bracing with some padding in the door) and the tweeters were mounted in the side mirror sills. While this is not the best placement for the tweeters I wanted a stock finish. I bridged my amp (Crossfire XP600) and pushed 300watts RMS to each speaker. The first thing i noticed was the bright tweeters even though the crossover was set at -3db. With a little tweaking I was able to tame them to a reasonable level but they were still too bright for my taste. The mids however were great...excellent midbass, clear and warm.
After some further adjustments I decided to unbridge the amp and run 75watts RMS to each of them. The tweeters were much smoother at this power and I didn't loose too much with the mid-woofer. Of course they were not as loud but still plenty loud.
A quick comparison - I found them warmer and fuller than the JL XRs and they can work with a lot less power. 75watts sound good on these compared to the 100+ really needed for the XRs. The MB Quart Premiums had better imaging but were not nearly as loud and had less midbass. And they just sound better in every way compared to the older premier series.
There is a lot more that can be said about these speakers but I'll just add - don't sell yourself short and not listen to these when shopping for your next set of high-end components.

If you're reading these reviews, then you know why you're here.
The TS-C720PRS is revered as one of the greatest 2-way component speakers ever created. For those that were able to buy them at the $220-260 price range, you all know that the product delivered was far and away amazing for the cost.
Having long since gotten rid of them, here I am, in early 2017, looking to revamp a factory system in a different vehicle, and yearning that these were still available.
Oh Pioneer, why did you have to discontinue such perfection? You had a gold mine on your hands that blew away the competition at almost every price point.
