I'm using these in a 2012 Toyota Corolla, powered by a JVC KW-R500. The head unit puts out 20 watts RMS x 4, which has proven to me to be plenty for these speakers. No amp needed - at all.

Do these sound as good as two hundred dollar (or more) components? Probably not, but so what - they sound great to me. The highs are definitely there, and bass is surprisingly present as well. In fact, I like the bass from these better than my 6 x 9's (just don't tell my 6 x 9's I said that). I'm getting subs and an amp soon, so I don't really care too much about the deep bass, but the mid bass/mid range is good.

For the price, or even a little more, I'm not sure if you can beat these. They sound good throughout the range and are efficient, hence my head unit power being easily sufficient for these. They get plenty loud. No amp needed. I bought these based on reviews from this site, as well as other major sites. I'm glad I did. Pioneer is a brand you can trust, and the price is great.

(At first, I wasn't sure about these because I didn't like how things sounded right after my install was complete. But that was just because I needed to tweak the EQ settings on my HU. After doing that, these things screamed - in a good way.)

Thick music

We (my wife and I) like music from classical to R&B to Tool (metal) These speakers reproduce sounds you don't normally hear from headphones, ear buds, and low end speakers. Thick sound fills our car, all the tones balanced nicely, Tight bass, solid treble (not crashy, or painful/shrill), plenty of clean midrange, and all working in harmony to wash your ears with honey smooth sound.

These speakers were installed in the front door panels, paired with a pioneer DEH2200 UB deck and Pioneer TS-A1374R speakers in the rear doors. I have done many installs for myself and helped friends and by far the best sound comes from pairing like with like. Pioneer is not the loudest sound out of the box, but I am always impressed with the RANGE (37-30,000HZ! and 300watts?!?), and quality of Pioneer sound. WITHOUT AN aftermarket AMP.

Tried these in another few cars, but not so good without the pioneer deck. Paired with a kenwood, and a JVC these speakers sounded quiet and a little overblown (foggy/loose bass) and the highs were a bit shrill or piercing.

These speakers sound really good especialy for replacing any stock speakers they have nice crisp sound and pretty good bass and not a bad price eather.

I would definitely recommend these speakers. They fit perfectly and have a crisp, clear sound in my car. The price was good too!

Good radio

Overall, I would rate this radio as a B. I love the settings and the adjustments it gives you. But, when the radio is first turned on, the first button that is pushed automatically changes the radio to the USB setting. It does this every time. Then you have to change it back to the radio or AUX (whichever you are wanting) in order to listen to it. No biggy, just gets annoying

Great Value for the price!!!!!

Crystal clear and a nice sound all around, i run these in my crx up front and in the back i also put bass blockers on them cause i got two 12 inch woofers for my bass. So these work extremely well for mid range and tweeter sounds.

As far as the bass the speakers offer i have no clue,......but the cone looks good and rigid ( not flimsy paper) which is a good sign for making bass.

GREAT SPEAKERS

The speakers came sooner than they said and they were very easy to install in a 99 Escort ZX2.. I bought the pioneer ts-a1674r. 5x7 in the back and 6 1/2 for the front doors. They sounded great once installedcrisp and clear sound once the radio is adjusted the right way. I would definitely recomend these speakers.

much better than Factor

Bought these about a month ago for my 2003 Infiniti M45 and they work great. not much base in them but great all around sound. If your looking to upgrade the OEM system then these are very good but PLEASE pair them with a good set of woofers and you will be good.

Decent for their price!

These pioneer speakers are a nice upgrade from stock, but they are not perfect. There are better values for the money on the market. One of my main problems with these speakers is their 4-way design. There is no need for a 4-way 6.5 inch speaker. They should just create a nice 2-way design and incorporate a small crossover into these like some other companies do. If you can find them on sale, they are not bad speakers! But with the lack of a crossover they can sometimes sound a little crackly due to the tweeters playing some lower notes. Overall for the price, they are not bad. They sound 100x better than my stock speakers, but I am already looking to replace them. If you love Pioneer and want to stick to Pioneer then buy them you will most likely love them.

Great bang for the buck

Replaced the front door speakers on my 2005 GMC Sierra. Not as much bass as the factory units, but much cleaner, brighter and better sound. Hooked up to a 17W RMS Sony unit, a great combo. Highly recommended!

Great all-around speaker

I've got a pair in the doors and on the rear deck. Still on the factory speaker wiring, and I get good all around sound. Definitely a great speaker for the money. I wouldn't hesitate them to anyone looking for a great sounding speaker for the money.

Good sounding for the price

I bought these to replace the stock speakers in my Scion iQ. The quality is great, seem well built and very clear. Just wish they had a little bit deeper bass sound but I can live with them. If you're looking for bass from speakers I'd probably find something else, But if youre looking for something clean and crisp sounding, these are a good buy.

Great for the Price, and with the Right Headunit...

I bought these 6 months ago because of the price and my other boston acoustic speakers were too 'bassy'.. these are way more crisp, louder, and once you get the right settings with the right headunit, theyre great.. i wanna say theyre cheaper durability wise.. but i got 4 for 80 bucks -so its not sh*t lol .. oh and wattage of 300 per pair is exaggerated

i love it!

I will recommend this product because of the value and the sound quality,i put these babies in my GMC envoy 2005 and they sound great!as for the delivery time was fast took them three days for them to deliver to Miami. Definitely wont hesitate for a second to order and use this company again for future purchases on sub-woofers.

Great sound for the price!

Just recently bought 2 sets of these (two for the front doors and two for the rear deck). The stock speakers in my lancer had a lot better low end than these, but in terms of anything above 250Hz they are incredibly detailed. Pioneer 6 1/2" speakers always seem to have that crisp sound that makes one forget about the lack of low end, but that's what the next purchase of a sub is for I guess. Some other great features are the shallow mounting depth and the 6 3/4" extension tabs that come with them, although it took me a while to figure out that the tabs have to be bent into position to work properly. All in all a great set of speakers if you plan to add a low range driver later on!

Crisp & Clear

Used these to replace my blown factory speakers and there a great replacement. as far as bass goes i wish it was deeper but it has its moments but as far as the sound of them there amazing so Crisp And Clear they sound amazing would definatly recomend unless looking for more deeper bass. Put them in a 2000 Honda Prelude by the way. only had them for about a week so i cant say much for durability

Better choice than any

Install was simple with very little effort with install kit. Sound is way better than the price would merit. Could spend twice as much to get the same balanced sound out of one set of speakers. High end of average sound for low end money. Love dealing with Sonic

Great Value

I replaced the factory speaker in Subaru Forester. This one sound far better than the factory speaker. It is not the best, but best for the price.
