great buy!!! dont let the price fool you

I have owned 3 pairs of these speakers and originally had them in a 96 contour to replace the factory speakers. These speakers sound great! They carry a lot of bass for a small speaker and I had someone once ask if I had 12's. These speakers get LOUD and they take a beating and keep going. In fact I have placed one pair that was in my ford into two diff cars, (a taurus) and currently in my bonneville and they still sound great!! I have them running off an amp and these puppies sound great. I can hear sounds I didn't hear before. Sonic has the best price for these speakers. In fact I am going to purchase another set to replace the older version (original ones from the contour). If you want good sound at affordable prices you cant go wrong with these. Thanks sonic!!!

Good for the money

I purchased a pair of these from Sonic Electronix (great service) a couple months ago for my 2001 Ford Ranger. They sound pretty good, especially with my pioneer amp pushing them. they have pretty good highs but i don't know about the lows, because i have a 10" kicker sub (also from Sonic Electronix). Overall, i would definitely recommend these speakers. a great value.

Great Speaker

These speakers have amazing clarity, but I recommend using a Hi-pass so no bass goes to the speakers. other than that they're BEAST Speakers!

Awesome product!

This product works great in my truck an has great clear sound all around if I have to get knew speakers for my car I know I'll put these in it!

Pleasing to the ears!

These speakers have a nice clean sound to them from super highs to mids. The bass is ok. I have to leave the Bass flat because the speakers are trying to reproduce lows that are out of its range. These are great speakers to compliment any system. Once you get them tuned in they are golden! I am running mine on a JVC KD-HDR50 and I am pleased on the overall value.

Best Bang for the Buck

I installed these in my 2006 Mustang to (hopefully) match my new Pioneer tuner/CD head unit. I was correct. These speakers have Great range and very nice Highs and mids. Warmer than my wife's Alpine speakers and almost as distinctly clear. Unless you are a boom box person, you really don't need subwoofers for most listening.
I am Very impressed.

Not to bad

Have these speakers in all four locations in my 03 mustang, running off of a pioneer 3900 head unit. They sound great, but the bass really doesnt sound as good as it should. Theyre mounted in the factory locations. I bet theyll sound excellent with an amp though! If you just want a simple upgrade from factory speakers, Id probably go with the 3-ways, 4-ways would need an amp for best efficiency.

Good speakers, fits the application they were intended for, produces great sound quality, have been working in my wife's truck since December 23rd with no problems at all.

Pioneer TS-A6882R

Purchased two sets of of these 6X8 inch speakers for the doors and rear deck of my 07 Mustang. Great fit and great sound. Definitely better than factory.

great for 2000 grand marquis

these 6x8 are great. i put them in my grand marquis door and back dash. they have great voice but the bass is ok. will problem need to get subs for the trunk which i will do. but overall i love them.

Great Pricing !

I needed two pairs of these for an install in a truck. I have them connected to a 4-Channel amp and they sound very clean.

I saved over $100 by purchasing these from Sonic. In the past I have ordered from another popular east coast distributor, but then I found Sonic and their great prices. I will say the shipping from Sonic was slow though, but that's because they are in CA. That is the only negative I can think of

Excellent Balanced Speakers

I got frustrated with my 2006 Mustang's "Shaker 500" audio system.
Nothing was clear and all was muddy. I put in a new head unit from Pioneer ah p8000 bt something. Shaker acted like it wanted to sanck on half my CDs in its 6 CD changer. Bubye changer. But sound was still muddy. I had just replaced my wife's speakers in her Focus with Alpines. And these Pioneers were choice number 2 for her car. But ofr the Mustang, these were the choice I made partially to keep the same brand inthe whole system and partially because the Pioneers have a warmer sound....and I like warm jazz. PLUS, the Pioneers have more bass. So.... I took out the silly 5 inch speakers with the silly little tweeter all in one basket unit from the top half of each door and replaced them with one of these on each side. These are 4 ways and its more like replacing 2 VERY bad speakers with 4 VERY good ones on EACH side. Then I took another pair of these same Pioneers and replaced the rear seat side panel speakers. Imagine my shock when the 5x7 inch speakers were IDENTICAL to the ones I took OUT of my wife's FOCUS ! Mustang = Super Dooper Shaker 500 stereo, $600 option. Focus vanilla am/fm/cd stereo, no extra cost.

SAME REAR SEAT SPEAKERS !

My college student niece was a frequent occupant of the back seat of the Mustang last year . She SQUEALED delight when she heard the new speakers! She hadn't been told I replaced them. She knew it by the sound.

For the money and range these speakers are the best!

Pioneer TS-A6882R Speakers

I have had zero problems with these speakers, have had them for 6th months, and still working. I currently open up both truck doors near a sand volleyball court, and put the volume about 3\4 to max, and the sound is clear and crisp. If there are better speakers at this price, I'd be shocked.

Good speakers for the price...

Good quality speaker. Nice sound but really needs and amplifier to bring out the highs and lows. Fit my 2000 Ford F150 Super Cab perfectly without any modification in all four doors. Factory radio doesn't have enough power at low listening levels to adequately drive these. They do sound better than the factory units especially at higher volume levels. Make sure to order the wire harnesses to connect directly to the factory harnesses.

these are great speakers, they are loud and sound good, but they dont have very good bass to them. maybe its just my truck i put them in a ford ranger

Great Speakers for my Crown Vic

Bought four of these to replace the stock speakers in my 2000 Crown Vic. Upgraded the front doors and back shelf with EDead as well.

Hooked them up to my Clarion head unit. No external amplification. The sound is awesome. Clean tight bass, great midrange and smooth highs. I am hearing music that I have never heard before. You don't need huge power to drive these. Easy upgrade. Do it!

i recommend this product because the sound quality is good, the bass sounds distorted on songs with a low bass, but other than that it's a great product

Sweet Buy!!!

I have these speakers hooked up in my 08 F-150 and they sound great! There is no distortion and makes the music really come out. The bass is pretty nice but i have it hooked up to a multichannel amp and a new headunit so that will definitely help. The speakers are not only clear but really loud. if i turn them all the way up, i HAVE to roll down the windows.
If you are looking to get great quality at a low price, these are definitely for you and Sonic Electronix did a great job with everything.

Great Sound

These speakers replace worn out stock speakers in a Ford Taurus. I am using a Kenwood head unit that outputs 22 watts RMS / 50 watts peak. These speakers sound great. I'll bet they'll sound even better with a decent amp. I can now hear details that were missing. All forms of music sound better with these speakers!

THE BEST SPEAKERS

I got four of these from sonic elec. I put four in my 01 mercury sable to replace the current MACH system. I have them hooked up to an Alpine MRP-300 amp. Giving 50watts to each speaker.They sound amazing. They are much clearer, the bass is tighter and more accurate. They are loud but even when u turn them up there is no distortion at all. These are the best speakers, if your are thinking of buying some replacement 6x8 speakers get these they are amazing.The extra tweeter also sounds amazing. These are the clearest sounding speakers. Now my car has a true MACH system lol

great sound

These speakers hit notes that I have never heard before in songs. Great range and they sound good with or without an amp. I have an Alpine amp hooked up to them and they sound 1000x better than they did without one.

These are hooked up in the back side panels of my 96 mustang convertible and they sound great. Its an un-real price also I checked B*** B** and they wanted a little over $100.00 so I said no and kept looking, found them here for $59.99 and had to get them along with these speakers I bought the CLOSEOUT!! ** Dual XDMR7700 from sonic too for only $99.99 if you like good quality then this is the product for you. GREAT SPEAKERS !

Frequency response and range are impressive. Highs, Midrange, and Lows all come through clearly. I have 4 of these in my 2006 Mustang driven by a Pioneer FH-P800BT and the "SHAKER 500" amplifier(s) and then put them into my 1993 F150 Supercab. I had the door holes for the round 5 1/4" speakers enlarged to accept the 6882 4-ways. The rear cab pillars had just enough room for them as they replaced the 5X7 stock ones...with spacers installed. The sound in the cab, driven by only the Pioneer DEH-P6200BT...is filling, rich, clear and distinct. I think the cab is just large enough to show the speakers at their best advantage. I cannot imagine better sound reproduction in a vehicle, ESPECIALLY for the money. BT hands free operation of the telephones through these speakers makes the caller seem in the same "room".

Pioneer TS-A6882R

I bought four of these to replace my door speakers in my truck. They sound awesome with a 60X4 amplifier. The speakers sounded average without the amp. I definitely recommend using an amp with these, once I installed it, it was a night and day difference. Not sure of the durability yet so I'll give it four stars.

These speakers are great when they are hooked up to the hu, but on the amp I have which is a memphis street edge 100X2 channel. I blew them an I had the amp gain about a 1/4 they way up, but I plan on getting some more an just let them stay hooked up with the hu.

Wow, I am surprised about the quality of sound

Some people complained about the bass.
It is true that bass is not deep.
But it is tight! Especially when it is connected to an amp
bass was acceptable for most of music (probably not enough for hip-hop)
Highs are crystal clear and mid very accurate.
I was somewhat disappointed about the previous version which is 6872, but this one, there is nothing I can complain about.
It fits perfectly on my Altima's front door which is 5*7.

They are speakers, what more. With these they replaced a two element speaker with a three element. Much better sound.

Perfect item for Ford / Mazda

The 6X8 Pioneer speaker set has great response, crisp highs and great bass for the size. A perfect replacement for the Ford/Mazda at an even greater value. I've placed these into my Ford Probe, two Ford Contours, and my two Ford Explorers.... All sound better than ever! My friends think I have a subwoofer system in the vehicles... and I don't...

EXCELLENT Speakers All Around

I purchased the Pioneer TS-A6882R because they direct stock fit, replace for my 1999 Ford F350 Crewcab (Front Doors &Rear Cab) speaker openings with out any modification. The connection terminals matched the factory speaker wire terminals. A excellent upgrade to replace the failing stock speakers and new stereo/nav system I installed.

They're an excellent value and output wattage for the money compared to other manufacturers... I highly recommend these speakers. This is the second vehicle I have installed Pioneer speakers in that were a direct fit with out any modification to the vehicle.

great value for the money

These worked well for the application i used them in and fit right in without any modification to the vehicle. These sound really well and provided great detail to the music. i didnt even have the head unit tuned properly and still it sounded good. Im sure with the right tuning they would have sounded even better. nonetheless these were great for the money spent. i prefer the style and sound of these over the newer models produced today from pioneer.

Great Sound!

Installed these in the front doors of a 97 Ranger, and immediately noticed an amazing sound difference. The clarity of these is awesome. The only thing is, they cant handle too much bass, but besides that, 5-star.
