Great speakers!!

4+years of use and still going strong on 50w you get great sound crisp and clean

Ho Hum

You get what you pay for. Not very accurate speakers, but a great price, hence the average rating. I should have stuck with Boston or JL but that's what I get for trying to save a buck! Installed this weekend, may be ripping them out next weekend.

Quality Set

I use to own these along with a set of matching 4X6's. They sound great when paired with their 4X6 counter parts. I do not know how they sound with an amp, but they already sound great without one. I recommend this set to anyone looking for affordable speakers to replace their factory speakers.

These speakers rock. Great sound and great price. My only gripe would be the paper tweeters although I don't believe that my ears are sensitive enough to really care.

Awesome speakers

I have them hooked up to a pioneer amp and they sound great and can get awfully loud. The good thing about em is they have an actual grill that will protect the speaker if anything hits it. Recommended buy. Probably doesn't need an amp with a good cd player. But i wanted to go all the way.

I originally purchased the precursors to the 6963R for my boat, now I know these are NOT marine rated but all the equal marine speakers were SO tweekie in their sound. Real high pitched, just nasty.
That was 4 years ago, and my boat spends very little time NOT in the water, sometimes 4-6 days exposed to 110-115 degrees on the riverbank.
They install easy, and the sound is Unequaled for the buck, and did not hesitate to get these when it was time.

Awsome Speakers - Pioneer TS-A6963R

Great sounds at a small price, and good power ratings.
Cranked with the stock stereo, plenty of bass and clean mids/highs.

GREAT SPEAKERS!!!!

I have owned a set of Pioneers speakers identical to this before. When they were installed they hooked them up to my amp that controlled my subwoofer. The end result is that I blew the old speakers. Me and my best friend installed them ourselves and I abuse them! I dish out everything possible to them and they handle every bit of it. I'm actually thinking about buying another set to make it 3 sets of 6x9's in my car. It was totally worth the money spent.

Great speakers

I installed these in my 2003 Dodge Ram in the front doors. They seemed to lack bass compared to the stock speakers for the first few weeks, but it seemed like they just need to get broken in. I cranked the sound on a couple songs and the bass seemed kinda weak, but the mids and highs were much better than stock (although at the same time, I installed the TS-T110 also). A few weeks later that same group of songs would rattle the junk in the door pockets and make the mirror shake... so give them some time to get broken in. The product description says the woofer surround is butyl rubber, so I was thinking it would be like the TS-D6902R (which i found does not fit in the Dodge Ram) but it's more like a rubber coated cloth. I'd still definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade.

Great Speakers

I bought these speakers as an upgrade from stock, and I've been very pleased with them. I don't have it amped, but the highs and mids will still come out crystal clear if balanced correctly. They do lack in bass, so if you want bass, you better plan on buying a sub. The price for these is incredible, especially for such an excellent sound. Definitely a good buy.

great bass for 6X9s also can put out highs very well for rock and roll or metal music. If tuned properly can form to any music.

I bought these speakers a while ago and they have been great ever since. Added so much bass to my system and now paired with matching Pioneer 5 1/4's in the front it sounds awesome together. I just ordered an multi channel amp+sub combo from Sonic and I can't wait to amplify these a bit and see what more I get out of them along with a 10in sub. I am very impressed with the sound quality and especially the bass from these little guys.

Good speakers

Great design and sounds AMAZING! The bass is incredible. I use them with the Pioneer Premier DEH-P600UB. Easy installation. Deliverd quickly! Wonderful product and would recommend to anyone! SonicElectronix ROCKS!!!

Bada** 6x9s for the price!

I've got 2 of these in my room, got em set as my mid/bass on the line, these get pretty deep for 6x9s, not boomy however, but its present, has a pretty crisp sound to it, however I get this weird static, but I think its probably my amp going out (it happens all the time, meh, I'll come back here and buy an amp! :D)
but anyway, these are pretty darn good for the cost, I recommend you look into these if these fit your budget :D

Great speakers for the money

I would definitely recommend these speakers. I installed them in the front doors of my 2010 Tacoma. I also put a set of the 61/2" in the back doors. I also deadened my doors while I had them apart and updated my stock tweeters to Pioneer. I bought adapters for the doors as they don't fit in the stock speaker holes. I didn't buy the speaker wire adapters and had to cut off the stock speaker plugs and crimp on new connections for the speakers. I'm very happy with the sound for the money. I like to listen to my music loud and these speakers have handled it well. I'm very satisfied!

Decent Speaker, good value

I bought these here at Sonic after my local audio shop tried charging me $116 for the same pair. I am running these off my Kenwood head unit (50x4 no external amp) Easy to install, but I recommend using a speaker wire harness to just plug it in instead of splicing. The highs are clean and bass hit is decent. These are well worth the 50$. Would buy again no question. Bottom line- if you are looking for good quality on a budget , these are where its at.

They aren't 200 dollar speakers, But they have a good sound , easy to enjoy with a pretty good bass. I may upgrade when I have the extra money, But I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. These are right good speakers. Still going to install a sub, But from a JVC HD head, They sound like I don't need to amp these babies. Great buy for the money, Great buy reguardless...

These speakers are great, especially for the price. I have had them for about 6 months now and I can't complain. They provide pretty good quality and the capability of shaking the mirrors of my civic. Good bass for rear speakers and a definite improvement from the stock. These are good speakers and I would recommended them to anyone.
