Decent Speakers For The Price

I bought these speakers to replace blown front left door speaker in a 2001 Lincoln LS. The speakers were easy to install and came with everything needed to install. Has a diagram on the box lid for additional install instructions.
The speakers with fade full front sound ok but with volume they distort and you can tell that they cannot evenly produce the sound. I have a stock HU right now maybe that will change when I get a new HU and see how the speakers produce.
The rear door speakers can handle the volume from the stock HU no problem and they are stock. But overall with the even fade front to back they sound good and complement the stock speakers well. I would not replace all the speakers in my car with these, but they serve the purpose of replacing a blown speaker. At low levels the speakers sound good and at that level I would say yes they sound good.
Overall Im satisfied with the speakers they are good enough for the price, and they are Pioneer. If you are looking for something to replace yes, if you are looking for more sound and bass its a no.
These are the speakers that I'am replacing in the rear doors and rear deck.- Rockford Fosgate P1683 (maybe in the front doors as well pending review)

Can't fill big shoes

I am using these as a temp speaker in front dampened door until my new install can get underway and I can get my high end comp's in place. This is a low dollar speaker, and if you aren't expecting solid midbass, and crisp, separated mids and highs then you won't be disappointed. With that being said, I can't complain, they are better than listening to an Alpine R series 6x8 with mechanical issues and a dead tweeter. An average low budget speaker that has a decent sound from a factory HU. No doubt it will sound better with aftermarket HU, and a little warmer yet with an amp, but if you are going that far with your install then upgrade to higher end comp's/coaxials.

Great speakers....

These have all the bass response you could want if you don't happen to have a sub. I just installed these so I can't attest to durability, but so far so good...

out with the old, in with the new

I purchased the TS-G6844R speakers to replace some old worn out Pioneer speakers that I have had in my Dakota for about 9 years. They are everything that I knew they would be for Pioneers! They sound great! They are being powered by a 300 watt amp and rock my truck. Perfect price for my budget. I would highly recommend these speakers.

nice, really nice

Bought these to go in the back of my 2005 Ranger edge.
Thinking was that you don't need a really hot speaker in back, because treble is not as strong from back there. I plan to put a much higher q speaker in the front doors. Always have done this on installs.
Well, these did not disapoint, the bass is tight and accurate, and the higher freqs are almost perfect. What a bargain. I have audiophile pretensions, and am hard to please, but these did. And you need the metra connectors, which this site sells, not only because of the ease of install with them, but they only go on one way, eliminating out of phase hookup, which will destroy your bass, and is why some complain about a lack of bass. True, you wont shake your ride, but if you want to turn your ride into a rolling subwoofer, and yourself deaf,
look elsewhere.
Otherwise, if on a budget, these will do fine, be it Jazz, country, rock, hiphop, you name it.
AND GET them from Sonic, the price is the best anywhere, even when adding in the connector cost, which is also cheap.
I might even put them in the front, when time permits

Pioneer TS-G6844R Speakers

This is the second set of Pioneer speakers I have purchased. I was so impressed with the first set there was no question when I needed more speakers. They sound fantastic (far better than original equip) and fit my Ford F150 perfectly! I absolutely recommend these speakers.

Really Great Speakers

I ordered a pair of these speakers for my 1997 Ford F150 Extended/Supercab. I put them in the front doors a little over a month ago, replacing the 17 year old worn out and LITERALLY FRIED speakers. The first few times I cranked it up with a good song on, I was just so tickled because it sounded so great!!! It has some pretty good bass and a really great overall sound, even when you have it turned up. Trust me, if you are like me, you aren't going to accept anything less than crystal clear sound. For $35 you aren't going to find a better pair of speakers. But if you are willing to spend an extra $10, I might actually recommend the Pioneer TS-A6885R. They look cooler and have a little more bass. I put a pair of these in the back of my truck when I realized I forgot about the back two speakers... Lol.

Best experience and Great Price

My Purchase of 4 Pioneer TS G6844R speakers for my Ford Ranger was Great. I found Sonic to have the best price of any site I visited. Added to that was the speakers were shipped faster than I expected, I had them installed that weekend. Thanks.

Decent replacements

I like these speakers as they are quite a bit more sharp for the highs than my stock Ford Ranger speakers, but unfortunately with just the power from my aftermarket head unit (give or take 10 watts a piece) they lack the lows that are given out by my stock ones, fortunately this is not much of a problem for me as I have a set of subwoofers to handle the lows :). So I'd say if your speakers are starting to lack I recommend these, however I don't recommend these as a replacement for new stock speakers.

A-grade sound quality

excellent lows, detailed mids/highs without the nasty harsh, screechy sound in lesser speakers. Thanks Sonic for these Speakers + Shipping for a steal at only $35.

SA Ray

I would recommend these speakers, they sound good and are easy to install. The only thing I would like changed is the wire size on the jumpers to splice to the factory wiring. Factory wire gauge looks to be 16gauga and the jumpers in the kit seem to be a lot smaller maybe 22 or 24 gauge.

Pioneer Speakers

This item makes for a great stock replacement speakers for a great price. I have them in a Ford Truck with stock head unit and ended up buying a second pair to the rear.
