Pioneer "Champion" maybe

Not great for under 1000W usage pretty simple looking but completely durable and can take unbelievable abuse

WOW!!

The drivers sound quality is very good. It blended very well with the main speakers. Bass is well defined and not one noted or boomy.. Even though It still needs some run in time to loosen up, I'm very impressed with it. Build quality is very good and looks to last a long time. The only con that I personally have is the fact that the woofers surround is made of foam. I would've preferred to see a rubber surround instead... Rubber lasts much longer and is much more durable. That's why it didn't get a 5 for features. But for a nice, low price, I really can't complain.. Used with the right amount of power and the right enclosure, this sub is a true sleeper..

Nice for the Price

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W300R).

These are good sounding subs for the price. You can deffinately tell theyre lower end subs, but they can hold their own. Good power. No Distortion. Overall a good value!

Excellent Budget Sub

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W301R).

I wanted to design my first system on a tight budget. I listened to this sub at my local Walmart and it fit the bill. The bass was good, the looks were great, and the price was excellent.

I have two hooked up to a SonyXM2002GTR 200Wx2@4ohms amp in a custom sealed box and these Pioneers are loud! With gain set at about 3/4 and my volume at a comfortable loud level, I can feel every hair on my body vibrate with the beat...pretty nifty.

I recommend these to anyone who isn't quite ready to shell out more than $400 for a sound system. People WILL hear you coming with these in your trunk.

Great Subs

I've had these subs for a while now, and after they break in they beat hard. They look sick, a little pastic-like, but they pound hard! Well defined bass, these subs are well built and support the high quality reputation Pioneer has built. I have 2 of these powered by a Rockford R500-1 amp, and the entire neighborhood and hear me coming from blocks away! They are a good buy.

Great sub, great price

I had a Dual brand 12" sub when I first started upgrading my car audio system, and no matter what I did, there was a persistent rattle, especially at high volumes. It sounded like it was coming from the rear deck underneath (where the 6x9s are mounted), but I never could pinpoint it. The other day I got some cash for a birthday present and decided to go ahead and "upgrade". I picked up this bad boy and the difference was immediately clear. Not only was the rattle gone (cheap Dual sub must have been the source, go figure), but this thing gets damn loud without any noise artifacts). Like one of the other reviewers, I'm pushing this thing with a relatively cheap 150RMS amp and it does the job just fine. The sub is installed in a 1.25cu foot box which is the recommended size, and I couldn't agree more. The last thing I need is a couple of bass blockers for my 6.5in speakers up front and my system is complete (until I decide to go ahead and upgrade the head unit too). This subwoofer has left me completely satisfied, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

In fact, my only complaint is that the sub didn't have optional male connectors for the speaker wire so I had to cut / strip the connectors off of the wire that came inside the sub box to attach to the push connectors on the sub. Hardly a serious complaint, but I'll give it 4/5 on features for that, I suppose.

Awesome!

These subs are great! They look amazing! They not only look awesome, they pump out bass like a pro too. A great buy for the value! Not anything amazing, you get what you pay for, but for use slightly below the professional level, this is the way to go.

REDONCULOUS!

OKAY so here it is, amazing, I agree with the foam surround though, bad idea by Pioneer, but other then that my Pioneer TS-W303R sub is in my single cab chev, powered by a whopping 1300 w Kenwood KAC-8152D amplifier! A high powered amp is a must for the best sound quality from this sub.

This is a GREAT sub.

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

I got this sub and it was my first new sub i ever had and i am very impressed by it. the thing hit so hard it busted my box apart,it was a ported box tuned to 35Hrtz. Man i love it i have it bridged on a pioneer 5300t amplifier which is a 760 watt amp and it's a perfect match.

GREAT DEAL!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W301R).

These subs are absolutely perfect for the beginner as far as bass goes. I have 2 12" in my '92 Ford Explorer and they have rattled the rear gate handle off, busted a lot of rust off the frame, and loosened the carpeting(this is not a hunk of junk either). When I have my MTX 200 watt running about half gain, people can hear me literally coming about 1 mile away. Great subs!!!

Pretty decent

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W301R).

I have 2 of these subs but the model before and they are pretty good for their price. Although its taken me awhile to break these in they sound pretty crisp. I've been running them with a 1600 watt pyle pro amp but i would suggest something a bit smaller.. All in all these are good for any beginner upgrade

I really recommend these subs :D A friend sold me the pair of subs in a ported box for $40 dollars. But i never imagine they could get extremely loud with berly 80 x4 (80 watts per subs) i have em hook up in my house and they even move ur clothes u are wearin on and it throws down everything with its vibration. EVEN THE DOOR MOVEESSS xD If u really want great sound for less money, then this is the secret. ;)

Great for beginners

I had one of these for the first 12" sub I ever owned. It sounded great but unfortunately I had a little 220 RMS amp and it caught on fire when I was on my way to work. I recommend this sub to anyone on a budget that wants a little more bass in their ride but make sure you have a good enough amp.

Fried Voice Coils in 4 Months

I had these subs for about 4 months, no heavy use hooked up to a Rockford R500-1 Amp (2 subs wired in parallel, so a perfect match, no over powering) and I fried both subs after only 4 months of use. I'm attempting to get replacements under the warranty, since they were not over powered or ever plaed excessively loud. Before they blew, i loved them, but be careful, they might just only last about 4 months.......

Pioneer Subs

I put two of these in a bandpass box with a memphis marine amp giving each 150 rms, and they sounded amazing, they hit hard for the price, the only problem is they get allot of crap for their plastic looking woofer, but they shut people up when they start to move air, great buy I would recommend them to anyone

Nice frequency range.

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

I just have 1 of these installed in a 1.5 cu inch (3/4 mdf) box I made myself with only 300 watts pushing it. My passengers and I are impressed with what this sub can do for such little cash. It is a true sub-woofer and does not muddy up the mid-bass since it only plays below 90 hertz.

Great buy

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W301R).

I have two of these in a q logic box. powered with a 800w pioneer amp. hit hard enough to rattle the spoiler off my car, has taken down my mirror on the windsheild, and rattled the carpeting off the back of the seats in the rear near the back window. if i set a quarter in teh center council cup holder, it will bounce the quarter out of the cup holder with no problem. whats funny is, the lows are set at 3 out of 10 on my receiver and the amp is turned almost all the way down.

Great buy

Bang for your Buck

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W301R).

This speaker is dope! I have one in a box hooked to a 200W Alpine amp, not even that much power going to the sub and the things still knocks! I pull up in the driveway and my neighbor hears me dumpin from 2 houses down! Ch'yeah! Obviously you could get louder and probably clearer with a better speaker, but for the money, this things will do the trick if you just want some loud bass. I listed to rap so this definitely worked!

Amazing for a beginner

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W300R).

I was absolutely blown away by the sound this sub produced when I first heard them in my friend's car. With only 150rms to two subs these blow away many subs rated at that much by themselves. They hit really hard, and really fast. They do not hit very deep, but they're beginner subs. Overall an awesome buy for someone looking to broaden the frequency range of their vehicle.

This subwoofer is very good for the price. Even though it can't handle a lot of power, this sub can really hit. I had two of them installed along with a 1000 watt Xplod amp, only gives out around 165 watts RMS, and people told me they heard my car before they saw it.

can't go wrong

i have a 1994 ford explorer it has stock JBL door speakers but i added a JVC KD S16 head unit Scosche Amplifier Installation Kit a pioneer GM5400T 760 watt amp and the pioneer TS-W303 i have little to no gain on the amp bass boost on 6 and DAMN the s*** hits hard i was told when i got it if i want to run alittle more power ( already at 380 Bridged ) to slowly work it in. i made the mistake of jumping the amp to 3/4s the power out put as soon as u got my sub in and blow the voice coil in less then 24 hour ( real smart i know ) but the place i got it from exchanged it and no problmes yet i been slowly working it in burping the gain up to normal for a short amount of time but for haveing only $291 tied up in my system it sounds good that i might soon step up the box to a 2 12" sealed box buy a 2nd TS-W303 it pounds hard wit just 1 i am dying to hear my truck wit 2 after steping up the altanator or battary or even both

this is one of the best subwoofers for the price it bumps real hard if you hook up the right stuff i would personaly sugggest the pioneer primeer amp that has 1200 watts and wire it at 4 ohms so you still have alot of peak power and just the right amount of rms.. the rms might not be that much but trust me this sub pounds real real hard.

Had this sub for over a year now and it still pounds! Put it in a sealed box and had it powered by a Jensen Power 760, which puts another 10 watts more out that the sub is only rec for RMS. Pioneer, cheap, yet effective.

I bought one of these, don't be fooled by the brand name or the plasticy look....lol...in the right box, with the right amp...this thing actually pushes a lot of air for what it is. Great value and durability, the makings of a Pioneer product. I did eventually take it back, but that's because I bought an RF sub so...but still awesome for a local store sub. If anything, this hit lower frequencies than my new sub, and it's half the price...lol..

Great Subs!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

I had these, but the old version of these, and the old ones rattled pieces of my dash off in my Jeep Cherokee....I had them hooked up to a 360 watt Jensen Power amp and they were in a custom 5cu. ft. box my brother made for me, lows were beautiful... these must be even better, nay to the haters of Pioneer, you don't know til you have them tuned and hooked up PERFECTLY!!! Best subs I've ever owned, and I've had MTX, Kicker, and Dual, and Pioneer was the loudest...maybe not the clearest...but the loudest I have owned...great product highly recommend for people who want to impress without a name brand price tag!

Great for Price

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

This is a great subwoofer if you're starting out and do not have a lot of money. I hooked it up with a Blaukpoint amp for my first sound system and it bumped hard and was very clear. Would highly recommend.

WOW

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

I have two of these in my trunk running off of a $90 amp and they SLAM! I have two of these taking about 200 watts each and they are without a doubt louder than the two CVRs I had with 400 watts each. Alot of people overlook the most important determining factor of speaker's loudness, its SENSITIVITY. Great sub, wish I would of bought it here instead of for twice the price at w******. Still worth it. bout to buy two more.

some strong subwoofers

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

i bought 3 of these and MAN do they hit. they pound real hard and for the price they are worth it. i have 3 of these and they shake my windows in my lincoln navigator and they are barely half way up. if i put it to the max my windows will probably shatter.

Great inexpensive item!!!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W302R).

I did not expect to get hit this hard by these subs but I was wrong. I ' have an amp yet but I have them hooked up to my 6x9 speakers wiring and I still get them to hit hard, I cant wait to get my amp to make them really hit. A+
