Nice package, quality wire but could more end connectors for the larger wire.

It's exactly what you need for your car amp installation. I bought this kit with Kenwood KAC-1502S amp for 75 bucks. Good deal from Sonic Electronix.

Great kit for the cost

Very nice kit for $18.
Wire seems adequately thick. Good quality fuse (not AGU) and fuse holder. RCA's feel durable. Decent assortment of accessories. All together a solid budget kit IMO.

Don't know what the other guy is talking about.

This kit was awesome and included with my package that I bought. In comparison to others for the same price, there is simply not a comparison and the other review is just wrong on so many levels I felt compelled to write this.

The reality is there are a lot of real shoddy amp kits and wire as a whole being used in car audio in terms of cheap amp kits that have over-insulating wires and fake gauge ratings, huge amounts of aluminum, lousy RCA cables, fuse holders and other accessories. BUT and a BIG BUT, this kit excels in those areas where others fall flat on their face. I have bought a few inexpensive 8 gauge kits in my day and XScorpion, Raptor, Install Bay and others haven't even given me the 8 gauge of wire that I paid for, and in some cases gave me wire that heated up to a dangerous level due to the actual make up of the wire.

I also literally laughed when I see that the other reviewer was intending to use spade terminals to connect his amp power and ground wire... It is for the SPEAKER wire knucklehead :-). I am an installer and the smaller accessories work just fine when you use them correctly. Most amps will still work with them when used with the speaker wire. Of course one can be used for the remote wire connection to the amp and the other end with the butt connector being used to connect to the stereo. The funny thing is, if you do not need them, who cares? It is like ordering this kit for a compact car or single cab pickup. You will not use all of the power wire for these applications, so do you complain that the manufacturer gave you extra wire? That just made me laugh.

Now, onto the other accessories. The AFS fuse and holder that are included are so far superior to others in this price range and the amount of copper (albeit CCA) is much better than others in the price range. Lastly, the RCAs included are awesome for the price. I cannot find ANYTHING to complain about here for $21.99.

All in all, you will not get a better value for the money.

Good product for the price

Good wiring package, good quality fuse holder and wires, I would like more connectors on it and maybe some tube for the power wire, but overall is a good kit.

Good Purchase

I used this kit to install a 2 channel Boss amp. The quality of the pieces in this kit is five stars, but I'm giving it 4 because it is my belief that to do a clean install you need (4) 8 gauge terminals (one at the batt, one at the amp, one at ground, one at the amp), not just two. I had to spend an extra six bucks at Orchard for the extra terminals, but since the cost of the kit here at Sonic was only $20 at the time, it was still a good deal.

Good kit for basic setups. Using it right now in my mothers system powering a simple 12. Could handle more if needed.

Pros: Handles power, Wires are HQ, More copper than rubber, Wires are good length, Fuse is HQ, Comes with lots of ties and rubbers.

This wiring kit is very good quality. Although this was my first subwoofer install, I consider myself an expert when it come any kind of stereo hookup. This kit comes with everything you will need for a professional install. I installed a MTX self contained in the rear of my 1999 Explorer Sport. This kit made eazy.

Exactly what you need

Comes with everything you need, literally. Ring terminals are good quality, insulation is very good quality on the wires, fuse is good quality, currently connected 2x 600 watt Pioneer 6x9 speakers to a 450 watt amp (250RMS) with this wiring kit. Plenty of length to get from the battery to the back of my car. For 21$ this is a steal! Does its job, does it well. Highly recommend this, you won't beat this price for everything you get.

get's the job done

This amp wiring kit did the job. Fortunately there was just enough wire to make it from the trunk to the battery in our honda civic sedan. A larger vehicle may have been a problem. The kit came with almost everything I need to install a self powered subwoofer/ amp.

Cheap - And it is

The wire is fine, the RCA cables are fine, but the terminals they give you are worthless, not enough of the 8GA size for both ends of the wire, and there are a bunch of small ones that werent even needed.

Excellent product for the price

I'm not running a sub or crazy rms wattage. This kit is more than adequate for my set up. 60 watt rms fronts and 80 watt rms rear speakers. The amp is 75watt rms X4. I would definitely buy this kit again for any similar set up. Plenty of length for all wires except the ground. If you are mounting the amp to the back of your rear seat and it folds down, make sure the ground is connected as close as possible the seat. Other wise the wire will prevent the seat from going all the way down. Wasn't paying attention to this. Bent the ground terminal on the amp when I folded the seat down and it hung up on the ground wire.

This wiring kit was included for free with my Kenwood KAC-1502S amp that I use bridged to drive my Pioneer TS-SWX251 sub. It is a decent kit. The speaker/power wires are copper-coated aluminum which is just so-so. But it does include everything I needed to wire up my amp (fuse kit, zip ties, wire terminals, etc) and it works totally fine and I doubt I'll ever have a problem with it. So while theorhetically the wires could be higher quality, practically speaking I doubt I could ever tell.

Great wires a pain to cut

The length of all the wires was perfect for my VW gti to set up an amp. However they are a pain to cute and strip. The rubber coating is very stretchy. But they work great. I do recommend these for the price. The connectors for the ground and power wire are crap. They do not like to stay though. Once you get it then they are good.

Good enough

Overall, this is a decent enough kit for an amp install. Fairly run-of-the-mill kit - my main gripe is that some of the prong connectors are incorrectly sized (amp connection for ground and power wire), but all other connectors are good. Zip-ties are garbage, but that's pretty much expected as well.

Pretty basic kit, I would recommend it but based on my application I needed some larger capacity connectors than what were provided.

This is a decent kit for a budget stereo system. Only one issue though, I was hooking this up in a Ford expedition and wires were too short to put the amp were I wanted it. Will pay more attention to wire length next time.

Good starter kit.

This wiring kit is good enough for the basics if you don't want to spend more money or chase around assembling the wires you need for a basic system hookup.

Well Built, As Advertised

This kit was included with a MTX package that I ordered. It was as described and is a well made wiring kit. Installation was quite easy and delivers adequate power to my system with proper grounding.

My only complain, I drive a 1997 Buick Park Avenue, and the 17' of cable for the power line wasn't nearly long enough for my installation. As my amplifier is currently mounted in my trunk due to limited options for locating it elsewhere, I had to go to a local electronics store and purchase another length of 8ga wire, an in line fuse block to splice the connection, as well as an additional fuse to ensure the line is properly protected.

For those of you will small cars, or who chose to mount the amplifier somewhere in the cab of the vehicle, this will be more than adequate. For those with larger cars, or luxury vehicles who are mounting their amplifier on the box or in their trunk, be advised you will need more power cable.

Good deal for the price!

Kit has what it says. Most of the wires are of good quality, but the remote wire could have been a tad thicker. It broke every time I tried to attach it to anything. I ended up using some leftover speaker wire to complete the job. Overall though, you can't beat the value.

2nd Kit I have Purchased, Still Can't Find a Better Deal

I had a 500 Watt amp and sub installed in my old car, and sold it with most of the wiring in it for the new owner.
I installed a new 500 watt amp in my new car with a new sub, and bought this same wiring kit as I still could not find a better deal anywhere else.
It's a simple kit, has everything you need, and makes installation of an amp/sub a breeze. Tonnes of wire length, I still have lots leftover thanks to a trunk-mounted battery. My previous car had a battery in the hood, and this kit still have plenty of length.
The RCA's are very nice, and all insulation is great quality especially for the power/ground. Ring terminals are easy to crimp, and were the perfect size for my battery terminals/main grounding junction.

I bought this amp (Planet Audio ac5000.1d) to power my 15.4 Orion HCCA. i didn't think it could move the monster sub but it did amazingly well. It wasn't cheap because i had to buy 2 XS Power 3400d batteries so my lights in my car wouldn't dim plus the 0 gauge wire. Once you have the power for the amp, I highly recommend this amp. Well let me start off by saying if you are looking for 5000 watts do not buy this amp. It is 5000max not rms. But when making a purchase like this u should do your homework and know these things. Now to the amp its self. This amp is great for me I was looking for 3000rms at 1ohm. And it does that all day long. It beats my two planet audio bb2400 12" Subs hard. I gave it only two stars on ease of use and durability because the first one I bought completely blew up on me after a month. It poped and filled my truck with smoke and the back fed and blew up my remote turn on on my deck. But I knew some had done that before I bought it so I returned it which was a breeze at sonic electronix. And now I've got one that works and I love it . I had mine clamped and it is doing 3280 watts at 1ohm and I couldn't be happier . Because I wasn't looking for 5000watts just at least a solid 2500watts so im super pleased .

04 Mercury Grand Marquis

I got this amp back in Oct. of 2013, it lasted about a month & a half, before it started going in & out of protection mode! I have it hooked up to 2 12" American Bass XFL. It was hitting hard; way better than my last set-up. But anyways, I returned it to where I got it from for a new with no problem & I'm right back beating! After reading some of the reviews, I guess I'm not the only one that this has happened to. But other than that, it seems to be a good amp for the money & does power my subs!! Hopefully you get one that doesn't blow in a month or so & can write a better review but for the price it will power whatever you're trying to push!!

P.S. Don't run the r/b Phantoms 5000d under a 2 ohm load. They just can't handle it, and again, I have to say thanks to Andrew for hooking me up with these Planet Audio 5000.1d amps for a good price. I will be calling you again, Andrew.

I have 4 15s qpower deluxe and i have had two of these amps strapped together there not that good they will fry really quick i have ran trough 6 of them now i just have one 2500 hifonics brutus elite its a beast its way louder and blowes speakers if not carful

Heavy bass for a descent price

This a sure RECOMMENDATION review!......this amp handles 2 12" Pioneer 1000w rms subwoofers w/constant heavy or hard hittin bass @4ohms effortlessly. When hooked up correctly this badboy pumps w/only using 1.6volts usage off my 6farad audio pipe capacity that reads 14.6 when initially turned on.....I've nothing bad to say about it yet I had it only 2mths I believe.

Save your money and buy something better

I had this amp for 5 days and suddenly the channel fried. I've been into car audio for over 10 yrs and have never seen such a poorly built product. Planet Audio should be ashamed. However, Sonic Electronix was great with the replacement. Very speedy and helpful.

Bought 3, Worst Amps I've ever bought.

I loved the price of these. The risk of one going bad based on the reviews seemed great for the price. Also, the wattage output claims, and being stable at 1 Ohm impressed me, so I purchased three of them at once.
The first Planet Audio AC5000.1D replaced a BAMF 5500. It could not come close to the power output of the BAMF 5500. After about a week, it picked up smoking and died.
The other two were strapped. Again the power output was insanely underwhelming. While trying to adjust the settings after installation, another amp started smoking and died.

Pros: Inexpensive, Great connection posts on amp, easy installation, nice manual. external fuse is decent.

Cons: WEAK, Low Output, high failure rate, No onboard fuses.

I had recently bought this amp I have nothing bad to say, not one thing, I have it hooked up too 2 audiobahn aw121t 12's 550rms x1 @ 4ohms, I have them wired to 2 ohms, and hits extremely loud and have a lot of bass haters because of it, greatly recommended for the price

I just got my system installed with this amp pushing two Kicker CVX 15s and this thang hits so hard... There were a few skeptics about this amp before I got it but when they heard my system they changed their minds. Really a great amp!

Doesnt last

I bought one a few months back and it fried after 3 weeks of pushing two Kicker CVXs. I ordered another hoping it was just a bad amp and the second one also fried. Will be trying another kind of amp next time.

This Amp is AWESOME. Three of them Blew 6 Boss 15's without even getting warm. They knock the heck out of my new MOFO's and run cool @ 1 ohm for 30 minutes before they start to heat up.

Year Later, Still bada**

Ive bout this amp around a year ago and had it hooked up two audiobahns aw12t, 12's, at 2500 rms, then too a lanzar opti1233d and not a single problem, now i have it hooked up to a 12 psi platform 2 at 1 ohm and way more than badass im my 92 camaro, this amp is awesome for the price

Beast Amp.

Purchased this AMP to power two 10" 6OhmDVC Audiobahn's that required major power and this AMP was flexing those bad boys @ 1.5Ohm. I loved the look and feel of the AMP, it was just 1 1/2" too big to fit behind my QuadCab dodge RAM. Had I removed the insulation and built an AMP rack (which is the right way), it would have fit. But it was just too much work. The good news is the helpful guys at Sonic let me swap the AMP and I paid the difference of course. Any how, this AMP provided excellent power to those 10's.

the Planet Audio AC500.1d

my original plan was to have 2 of these. 1 for each sub but I decided to try just 1 to push my Lanzar Maxp154ds in a 8.0 sealed enclosure wired @1ohm and it beats ur brains out. i have the system in 97 Cherokee Country and its the loudest system ive had to this day it was tuned at R.S here in the upstate SC and the rms output @ 14.4v was just under 3000 watts. it blew my mind because I didn't think that could have been achieved with my stock electrical setup, but by far 1 amp is all I needed so im happy with the outcome of it. there is no need to add a second amp but I am upgrading my battery and alternator. soon ill have a new box built and ported this time instead of sealed and have it tuned to about 38-40hertz. over all I do recomend this amp for the price you wont be disappointed if everything is installed correctly and tuned properly

Sold my powerbass asa1500.1dx and bought this and let me tell you iv never heard such clean bass from a amp before this amp is sick and gets insanely loud idk why its so cheap. iv never owned a amp that performes this well, also my powerbass drew my volts down alot more than this, this amp draws alot less, makes twice the true wattage and doesnt get hot doing so.

Bad product

First amp i recived was DOA and the second played 2 mintues and blew the mosfets

Great at the moment

First off had for a week and it was amazing. Bass was extremely deep. My only issue was that amp died shortly after. Something was rattling in amp I guess shorted it out.
My replacement is on the way can't wait. Thinking about buying some Rockford t2 speakers for amp.
Other than faulty amp seems like great product.

Waste of money!!!

Worked great but for just a week then it fried for no reason, i decided to have it fixed with a technician and it died the same day i hooked it up, save some more money and get something better.

I bought this amp to power my two JLw7. and this an awesome amp. i"m about ready to buy 10 more..lol....thats how good of an amp it is...i"ve been into stereo stuff my whole life and for the money this amp is awesome.

Boom Boom

Loved the build quality, look and feel of this bad boy! Was flexing the heck out of my 2 10" DVC 6Ohm subs. I like the black metal finish on it. Hefty solid feeling too! Unfortunately I had to return it because it was 2" too big to fit behind my Dodge RAM cab. I called up Sonic and they were great about doing a swap and me paying the difference for a Hifonics Brutus Amp. Thanks Sonic peeps!

Purchased this amp about two weeks ago just got done with the install and it is worth every dollar you spend on it. Have it running 2 750 watt rms ppi ph10s and have it about a quarter of the way on with no boost running at 2 ohms and this thing pushes all the power they can handle and then some. Is it Huge name box store NO, is it by far as good with half the price heck ya....

I hooked this amp up to 2 brand new power acoustik 15s and the performance is outstanding. This amp has not over heated or gotten smokin hot since I’ve had it. The quality is great and I would recommend this product.

Not worth the MONEY!

Tryed hooking it two my 2 (12's) and my boss 4000ar was alot BETTER not going to buy anything ELSE from planet audio! And the 12's were at 2ohm specs and it was for sure was not pushing 2500 watts to them mabe 600? But long story short DON'T buy it!

Have 2 power acoustic 12" subs with 2500 watts a piece running at 2 ohms and I have about 2,400 rms. It's pretty loud and sounds good.

It's a cable. It works.

Cables all work and ties keep everything tidy. Plenty of extra length in a Mazda 3. My 5ch amp RMS power draw with volume all the way up should be under 360w (realistically under 250 when not trying to go deaf) so this should be more than sufficient.

Pros:
Cables all sufficiently long for my installation.
Everything included made the install quick and easy.
Only 8ga so the wires aren't super stiff allowing for easy routing.

Cons:
None so far.

Other:
Hopefully never need to test the fuse 60A rating.
