Another amazing product from Polk

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

I purchased these a few weeks back and have never been so aware of the varying tones embedded within the music I listen too until now. The clarity is astounding and the ability of these speakers to handle such a huge wattage is supreme. I cannot wait to get another set to complete the setup.

I have a F150(single cab), and still have room for 2 more. Although I'm using the crossover as provided with these I have yet to detemine whether I should keep the amp filter on full or hpf, either way they sound great( these are running off a Crunch 500.2 amp).

Will purchase more of these from Sonic in the future, thanks fellas.....

Quality Product, Great Sound

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

I replaced my damaged Rockford Fosgate Power Series 6x8s with these just to try somethin new. I just put these in, so they need break in time still. Compared to the RFs they both have pros and cons, these are very clear sounding, but not quite the low end response I'd hoped. When they break in I'm sure they'll be fine. I have them powered by a Memphis M Class that does 50x4 at 4 70x4 at 2 so they're getting good power, Kenwood X993 HU. I recommend these if you want high SQ. They have nice crossovers as well.

MM571s

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

Not so sure about these speakers. IMO they have a very week mid range and very little bass response. The speaker wire clips have come loose twice not only on my vehicle but my friend has the same speakers and his wires came off as well.

Sick Speakers

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

Speakers sounded great, and had a lot of power, but the durability wasn't as good as I expected. To get the right sound, you need an amplifier or it will just sound all crackly.

WOW!!

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

These speakers kick out a ton of midbass for a 5 x 7. They actually make my doors rattle. The highs are crisp and detailed without being harsh. The only drawback is that they have seperate external crossovers although better they are a pain to mount in tight spaces. Also you have to remember that these are 90 watt speakers so you need an amp to make them sound good. Don't just hook them up to your head unit and wonder why there's no bass.

Just not Durable

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

I put 4 of these in my Mazda5 and hooked them to a Memphis 300x4 Amp. They can put out a lot of sound (nice headroom) but they are weak on bass and midrange.(I have a separate Sub carrying the Lows from 80Hz on down) Scattered over the next 9 months each speaker blew the bass coil. Their tiny magnet gives you a great fit into small spaces but they just can't perform over the long haul. Now running JL-C5 series and they kick out the sound effortlessly compared to the Polk Audio MM571.

Great, Great sound with unsurpassed sound

The following review is for a previous version (MMC570).

These are really the best your system can sound. The price is perfect while you get the best bang for the buck performance. Trust me you will not hesitate in purchasing more Polk products after buying these.
Highs, Mids, and lows are all there and great.

not too happy about it

The following review is for a previous version (MM571).

This speakers show as the more Peak and RMS watts for a 5x7, but I don't really feel they are, a friend of mine, got a different brand with less RMS, and sound louder and clear
So don't know what else to say

Great sounding speakers. Would have liked a mounting template and speaker grills.
