waste of money

i had 3 different power acoustik BAMF 4000/1 and they blew 3 different time in 2 weeks

Well I purchased this amp to replace a Rockford Fosgate R1000-1D and I do understand comparing the two companies is obsurd but I'm sharing my experience. So I definitely noticed lower-quality bass (than the RF R1k), even out of an MTX 9500-44. I understand I was going to take a hit on quality for SPL but honestly, to ear and eye, the sub seems like its producing less sound, even though it's definitely moving more. Anyways, I am still pleased with this amp and it's doing everything as intended. It's definitely pushing ~1500+ watts but I haven't scoped it. Overall, I am satisfied. I received the 30th anniversary edition (not marked ANYWHERE on the box or site) and it has a skull logo that looks pretty badass in my opinion. Fits perfectly in the flip-down section of my 02 grand prix. Definitely cannot complain for the price.

This is a great amp. The size really impressed me when i opened the box. Its really compact for being a 4000 watt'er. Would recommend to anyone. Hits my 2 12" CVR's sweet, nice sound at 4 ohm. Thanks again.

One hell of a little amp!!

I purchased this amp about 2 months ago and i am running it on 2 pioneer champ series PRO. And they SLLLLAAAAMMMMM! Dont listen to negative feedback about this amp if you are giving it its proper power. I upgraded to the BIG 3 system as well. Amp Never gets hot, but its a little small and it WILL NOT reach 4000 watts be serious BUT About 3200 Watts at 1ohm.

This amp has serious power

I had a U.S. Amp Xterminator 2000D pushing 2 Alpine Type R 15"s and it sounded ok. There are plenty of reviews boasting about that amp. My buddy owns a sound shop and he told me about this amp so I traded him the Xterminator and 2 12"s for it and I have never been more pleased. It pushes those 15"s like nothing. Its an awesome amp, would recommend to anyone!

not so good

Ordered the amp, after about 2 days it was fried. Got a replacement one, no extra cost, but that one lasted about 2 or 3 weeks. Both times I had it hooked up, it was hooked up correctly. Wish I would've requested another replacement but I'm in the army and had a lot of training going on.

WHat U wanna know BAD AMP

Well if you want a decent amp dont buy this. I went and had about 6 of these amps. They dont put out what they say and they're about 250-- 800 rms out of range, not even close to what they say. Okk now if it says like 1200rms and 4000 peak its realy like 300 rms and 800 peak lol so noo!!! Just look around a little more and see what you find out there and keep reading the reviews!!

Over priced

The amp cost too much for the power it puts out do to it not being not cea compliant. I have ran it on 2 pioneer champion series pro which take 1000 rms at 1 ohm and It did pretty good at volume 30, however my unit goes to 60 and it didnt last through a whole song before turning off. If you run this amp at 1 ohm and have everything turned down it will bump without turning off but If you're like me then pay the extra 65 dollars and get the new brx 2000 which is cea compliant and really get some bass. If I can't give it h*ll when I drive my truck daily then it isnt a good product so I would say not to buy this because they're cheaper and better products so I wouldn't even call this a budget amp. If your a serious car audio like myself then leave this amp at the store.

Tiny but strong and well built

This thing is the size of a textbook, literally. First thing i thought was wow this got here fast. I ordered it on 12/26, it was shipped 12/27, and i received it on the 29th by standard shipping. Second thing i thought was DAMN this thing is SMALL! But i have it pushing my 2 12" Type-Rs in a ported Bass Slammer box in my Jeep, and it knocks goooood. Ive had people say their hair moves, ears feel a lil numb, etc. and i vibrate the hell out of things in my kitchen from my driveway. Definitely recommend this amp. The only thing i don't like is that i have it mounted vertically so its hard to access the terminals and amp gain without breaking down my back seat.

amazing amp

This amp is kick a$$ I drive home 30 minutes everyday with it and it never even gets warm. Pushed my two 800w 12's so hard I have to keep it on 2 so my mirror will stay up. It goes to 12!!

the truth

The truth is that this amp is bunk. I bought it thinking it would be a nice replacement for my 1800 watt kenwood. i was sadly mistaken. Sonic Electronix let me trade it for a soundstream dtr 1400 soundstream and i paid the difference and i absolutely love this amplifier. Highly recommended.

Power Acoustik has made a living ripping off peoples' products. They always offer a C class imitation of a class A and even sometimes class B product. Nothing has changed.

bad a** amp!

I have this amp pushing my alpine x in a pro bass box.... Had a competition with a buddy with two r's and killed him. He has his r's on a kicker 700.1. I had the subsonic tuned around 30-40 Hz with the bass boost at 3/8 and the gain a little less than half running it at 1 ohm. This amp does work... if i turn the bass up at all it makes my sub bottom out cuz of too much power.... Could be because of bad sound quality cuz of running it at 1 ohm... This amp is very highly recommended its better than my old rockford punch p 500.2 and thats damn good... That amp cost you like 500 and up brand new.. depending on site... I recommend sonic to everyone of my friends because its cheap and good! I got this amp for 250 brand new(with shipping) and it is like 4 times as good as my fosgate amp which i sold for 200 to some dumb kid to buy this haha.

This is a really awesome product it delivered exactly what I was looking, to handle 2 Kicker 15's which are 2000 watts and +, this "Power Acoustik 4000 watt Amp" has kept up with all the bass I blast, and even 6 months later it's still "Banging" what I like.

This amp is not durable, I had this amp for about three months and at first it was amazing but after a while this amp starts to break, I'm not exactly sure what it is but after I took it out of my car I noticed a rattling inside my amp. I took of the face plate off the amp and multiple pieces were broke off the circuit board. I had allways taken the best care of my amp, i never hit it or anything, they just broke. So yea I am disappointed in this brand I thought this amp was high quality, its not. But then again I may have just gotten a bad one.

Bad A_ _ Mother Fletcher!

This amp is amazing. I purchased it about a week ago and have not had any problems yet. I have it pushing 1 10 inch audibahn immortal competition sub. The size is awesome. For so much power, the amp is relatively small. I would definitely reccommend this amp to anybody.

I purchased this amp about a month ago from sonic and it is a BEAST!!! I am running it on two solobaric 15 L7s with a cap of the same brand. I'm knocking pictures off peoples walls in their house when i come through. Make sure that you upgrade your alternator and your battery and plug your ears!!! Thanks sonic......

great bang for your buck

I run this amp on 2 kicker L5 12'' subs @ 0.8 ohms and this amp didnt even flintch. if you blew it up i wouldn't blame the amp. no it might not be up there with Kicker, JL audio or rockford but if your on a budget I would jump on one of these.

I was skeptical about this amp because of the insane wattage and reasonable price, but it blew me away. Lives up to its name!

This amp is the best one i have ever bought. I live in Arizona I have it hooked up to a MOFO15 it rocks my ride the quarter panels move from this set up its the best

Looks Good

Did some research on this amp and finally decided I am going to buy it, to all people thinking about buying this amp.

I found out a simple way to find the power an amp could put out in terms of RMS. its 12-14.4 volts(depending on how precise you want it)x how many amps the fuses are x .6(for A/B class amps) and .8(for class D amps)

For example with this amp 14.4x120A(40Ax3)x.8=1382.4watts. This amp is 1200x1 RMS at 4ohms...so to my understanding this is a good amp based on how many fuses it has and the power it could produce...the power should increase the lower the ohms are.

i own 2 of these and i have them pushin 4 Re Se 15's and they sound great... i havent had any problems with them yet.... i think i might upgrade to the 5000 watt just so i can hit a 150 but no complaints about these amps at all

I have it hooked up to a kinetik HC600 watt battery with 2 12in alpine type R's at 1ohm and my system is LOUD!! thank you sonic! I will continue to buy all my car audio from here. very pleased!!

hard pounding bass

awsome amp. i am pushing a 18 inch fi btl at 1 ohm and oh my god !! i can see my windshield flex, with the remote bass knob is a plus. make sure you get a good size capacitor or deep cycle battery for the price for this amp you get more power output then other amps that are way over priced. I recemmend this product to anybody who want's plenty of bass. the size of the amp is compact to hide else where. I love it

Respectable SQ

I work in a recording studio, and wanted a set-up to review the day's work during my commute. I've got my 2 12" JL Audio 12w3v3-2 wired in series, in sealed boxes, and so, at most would need 600 rms - though I never push them that hard. This amp, with the controls kept almost neutral, reproduces essentially everything from the x-over point, right down to the sub roll-off that I chained in during mastering. I can hear problem areas that I was dealing with on studio monitors costing many times what the car's audio did.

A lot of you guys seem to be needing way more power than I do, so I can't speak to the SQ when the demand nears the amp's limit, but if you're looking for a budget amp that sounds good at reasonable levels, I doubt you'd be disappointed with this.

I thought I should add, in the cold winters here, this thing gets cycled from -30 to room temperature, and back, twice a day, with no durability issues.

this amp is bad ***!!!!

This amp is pushing 2 Cerwin Vega VMAX 122's and it pushes them hard. I made the mistake of wiring them to 1 positive and 1 negative. then I figured out you have to jumper the 2 positives and 2 negatives together to achieve full power output. I see other people say it barely pushes their subs and this may be the cause. So if you wire the amp correctly and use a capacitor inline with the power lead, this amp will allow you to power at least 1000 watts RMS subs and more.

I have this amp pushing 2 RE Audio SXX12D4's @1ohm and they kick. I am a little concerned that my subs can pound harder though. For the meantime, it will just have to do. I would recommend it to those that need an amp quick and don't have that much cash.

Great Amp

So far so good, powers the heck out of the two 10" subs I currently have I can feel the sub getting hot so I guess im going to have to buy better subs haha. Very good on efficiency I dont see any headlight dimming like previous amps. Looks good, mine came with a black remote. I love telling everyone I have a BAMF in the trunk lol. Must buy!

Great amp for the money={D

This product is a great amp I have it power to 12 jl audio w6's and they hit hard I only have the amp turned up half way and it's great (turning it up soonish) doesn't get hot ether and the size is amazing

Great Product

This is a great little amp I had it pushing 4 12inch Rockford P3's at 2 ohms and they put a crack in the steal in my hatch! One thing you really need to make sure of is that you are getting enough power to it or it will overheat and shut down but it is a great amp.

GREAT AMP

I've only had this amp two day and it sounds great. I am going to put a dry cell battery on it to day to get full power. The sound is great and the subwoofers are kicking like never before.

The best!

This amp is absolutely awesome! First off, its small enough to fit almost anywhere. Secondly, it has more than enough power to run performance teknique 12 inch dvc subs at 2 ohms. Thirdly, it has lots of usefull features like the gain control knob and all the filters. Overall its a great amp, and seems to be very durable. Will deal with sonic electronix again!

Great amp for cheap!

This is a great budget system amp! I highly doubt its doing the RMS it claims, but I had this amp set up with a 3.5 Boss Farad Cap, and two 10" Alpine Type R's in a sealed box. even with the cap, it still dims my headlights! It even blew the surround right off both my subs!! This very slick looking amp has TONS of power considering its size and compact design. Ive had it for about a year without any problems. No overheating and always keeping cool to the touch. hit 127db @ 14V with the Type R's, conservative settings, 8ga wiring, stock alternator/battery and no big 3. overall I love this amp!

I got one of this amp to push my pioneer shallow subwoofer 1500w/400rms and let me say it have my base line sweet all my glass and mirror vibrate for the price the amp is worth it

Impressive Performer

installed in an audio show car with 56 speakers on board including 2 x 15, 2 x 12, and 4 x 10 woofers, stability at 1 ohm is a bonus. With the 2 4000's installed along side 6 others for total peak exceeding 17,000 watts, all in the truck of a Monte Carlo, space is at a premium and installation/tuning could have been a lot easier if the connections and switches were more accessible. A removable access port on the surface of the unit would have been nice.
Once we installed a line driver, the performance of these 2 puppies really came through and we are not disappointed. Overall, great value and performance for the price. Highly recommended.

I bought this amp couple weeks ago.. an now i got it working with my 2 pioneer 2500watts.. subs can barely handle the power of this amp. its so freaking loud! wish i got bigger subs bt my car trunk is to small.. no doubt about buying this amp. power acoustik best price out there. no joke. go get one from this store.

this is a bad moster amp

This amp has out done all the amps that i have owned so far in my 2 years of driving. I've owned alpine kenwood, kenwood exceleron and others and this amp is by farr a man. It drives a hard hit that pushes my 2 type-r's through the roof....I have already fallen in love with this amp and i have only had it for 2 weeks...I recommend to anyone...i brought this amp to see how a cheap amp did compared to my recent expensive ones...n what can i say bad about it.....u tell me cause i can't find anything!!!!

I bought this amp 3 days ago had it put in 2day and the little thing pushes my 2 15" Power Acoustik P3-15's like crazy!!! Its the smallest amp i've owned but dont be fooled, this amp throws so much power at my subs its amazing. Overall great buy, dont think that just becuz this isn't a big name brand like JL, or Rockford Fosgate, it wont supply the power; it's for a great price, with fast shipping (like always) and above all an AWESOME AMPLIFIER.

It's truely a BAMF!

Bought this amp and it blew my 2 10's in a day lol...bough two RSDC 12" subs from Sonic and it hits so hard! I have the gain turned up only a quarter of the way for fear of blowing the subs...I will prob be buying a new alternator or battery because when im sitting still or driving my voltage drops very low because this amp creates so much power. I would def recommend! The only con is the amp is so shiny, it gets dirty to quickly.

I got this amp for my Pa Mofo 152x makes it go crazy i have the amp at 1 ohm for 2200rms powers the subwoofer no problem. Great buy looks great and stays cooler then the average amp at this price. I went from a boss amp to this and the Sq is like 200% better on the bass

great amp for the price

I bought this amp and a fuse holder and fuse for my new set up a mtx 9512-44 subwoofer for my 99 trans am also bought a 220 amp alternator and it pushes my sub with no problems and is pushing a steady 1760 watts rms at 2 ohms and running a scoshe amp kit the power and ground are actually 6 gague and not 4 gauge but amp powered on and does not shut down from not giving my sub the power it needs. i'm buying a new custom built 3.0 cf slot ported to 30 hz box for it for my truck to really wake it up definitely a amp to buy. Also bought a 3 year warranty for the amp and a 3 year warranty for the sub and got the 30th anniversary edition. I really like it and have the bass knob ran to the front to keep the cops off my back.

garbage!

I have had this amp for 6 months now. I got it right away and was just disappointed with its performance. it definently doesnt push 2200 at 1 ohm. i had it hooked up to 2 12" alpine type x's it pushed them decent but i really wish i wouldnt have gone with this buy bc the thing started on fire within 6 months!!!! rediculous! my amp i had laying around an audiobahn 12005 (600x1 @ 2ohm) and it sounds better than that amp on two subs! dont buy this! you can get way better for your money... hifonics brutus brz1700.1

banging amp

its a great amp only thing i dont like is its a monoblock amp with 2 outputs and i had to wire my one sub to both of them. still kicks incredibly hard. blew up my blackmore 12" sub 600watts rms, 1200 peak @ 4 ohms, had amp turned up quarter of the way @ 4 ohms and it made my side mirrors rattle in my jeep. worked great until it slowly killed my sub. but i've had the sub for 3+ years so cant complain there. gonna hook this up to 2 10" pioneer premier pro champ series 2 ohms 800 watt rms 3000 watt peak and see how it bumps. seems like a pounding setup

Amazing

Awesome amp for the price, i now shake the ground when i drive by even with sony xplods at 2000 watts peak power =/ rated at 600 rms total. I will look to Power Acoustik for many more products.

Great Amp, Great Buy!!!

First off, for those of you who bought this amp because it said 4000w, do a little research first. This amp puts out 2200w RMS @ 1ohm which is a decent amount of power. 4000 is the max wattage produced in a burst, not daily musical listening. I have this powerung 4 CVR 15s in my trunk and it is perfect for them. Before that it was powering 2 12 L7s with ease. This is a great amp for the money. Do a little research first, but overall a great amp. Match it with a good sub combo, and you have a winner.

the pefect amp

i just got the amp and love it. this thing puts out some serious power.i have it running two 15's in my volkswagen golf. this amp is tearin them up. i did have to put a kinetic battery and a 4 fard cap with two gauge wire so that was expensive but worth every penny. I had it tested and i hit 147.7 db.

POWER!!!!!!!!!

i bought this amp with two 12 inch P3's at 4 ohms, this amplifier murders these subs!!!! i plan on throwing another p3 at it, but im afraid because just powering two subs with this amp is destroying my car at 1200 watts, i cant even invision what 2200 watts could feel like, great buy, install is simple, has everything you need, especially the subsonic filter which is very useful for those of us with ported boxes!!! The amp itself feels very well put together, kind of like a di-cast metal feeling, very dense, feels solid, for the amount of power it puts out, the amp itself is small, which is useful for mounting under seats, i plan on buying another one of these when i buy more subs for my suburban!!!

A lot of Boom for the Buck!

I bought this amp 2 months ago from Sonic and use it with a pair of Rockford P3 15's at 2 ohm. I just came back to the site to order a second one and 2 more speakers. It will not be installed untill I get the glass trimmed and a 1.5 flex gasket because I'm worried about breaking windows. The rating is a little high but it is comparable to my Rockford t-1000BD amp. Great buy and is running at one ohm stable and runs cool as long as you feed it solid volts and amps.

Great Budget amp

This amp is a great amp if you are on a under $250 budget. It pushed my Fi Q 18, also four kicker cvrs, and a 9500 mtx 10". If you are looking for a amp in that price range i would say it is possibly one of your best bets.

dam this amp sucks i bought it for my 2 15inch soundstream splx and it barely even pushed them. i sold it i was disappointed in it and it was the 4000 watt.

CURRENTLY USING THIS AMP, IT HAS A LOT OF POWER!! REALLY WORTH IT. IT DESIGN IS CLEAN AND DOES'NT TAKE UP MUCH SPACE. IT DRIVES MY TYPE X OR MY MOFO GREAT, MAKES EVERY THING SHAKE!!!

Okay so its some bang for the buck..

I saw ALL the good reviews and thought this amp would be good enough for my two 12's....nope; It can only power one off my two 2200W Audiobahn Flame Qs otherwise it gets hot and shuts off.....like all the amps i try!!! HOWEVER this amp does make 1 sub bump hard......i may just get two of these amps 0cuz they're kinda cheap and itll make my system look more showy??....but still WTF Power Acoustik, really 4000W?? I dunno....3 stars

i have had this amp for awhile now and its great still need to power it right likes to take a lot of watts I don't have yet but fixing that soon. This is an awesome amp i have 2 12" kicker L7s running at 1-ohm and it does the job I would recommend this amp if u want some nice bass

I had this amp for six months now and this lil amp packs more power than what you think. I have it running 2 ma audio hk competition subs dont let the size fool you. If you get this amp be sure to get some subs that actually can handle it! CLASS D PURE POWER

Great amp for the price

I bought my first 4000 watt amp to push my L7 12s that i had.. within 2 weeks it fried the voice coils. then i got my replacements and went to hook everthing back up and my amp went into protect mode. So i had to send it back and now i got my new replacement pushing my orion hcca 15.2.. i have the amp maxed out with the gain and the boost and it doesnt even get warm at all.. i got it wired at 1 ohm to push out the 2200 watts it says and my orion is crazy loud.. messes with ur heart rate and everything. now im lookin at gettin the demon 6000 watt amp cuz i kno the orions can take up to at least 500-1000 watts over there rated power.. gotta get ready for the competition!
