Ordered to replace my Pioneer GM-D8604
So I bought a Pioneer because I previous had good luck with the brand. Between the amp and my head unit I got I'm swearing them off for good. I didn't buy through S.E. and that was a mistake too. The warranty process with Pioneer is retarded and their build quality has gone way down-hill from their glory days.
This has been superior to the Pioneer unit in every way. Better cooling, better layout, it worked correctly out of the box, it has more sensitive inputs (which I initially blamed for some alternator whine but it turns out I just had them cranked too high). After seeing how this thing is made I don't see why I'd ever buy Pioneer again. Particularly after the Bluetooth weirdness I'm having with my Pioneer head unit.
I have it installed behind the passenger seat of my 2000 Corvette and using it to drive two Kicker 1 ohm 6.5" subs in the back and the new KSS67 series components up front. The sound is amazing and it has the good to actually use everything those speakers are capable of. No problem hearing with the top down going the speed limit on the super slab.
