This is a fantastic amp, airflow has nothing to do with it overheating by the way. It is hooked up incorrectly or either you have it on full blast putting out 900 watts which is the worst thing you can do for two 400 watt subs, you want to run 300 to 325 per sub never max them out. all you will get is a rattle and horrible sounding bass instead of crisp solid hits. If that doesn't work check your wiring.

Decent amp
Amp is good. Im running two 10 inch JL audio subs total rms is 400 watts. Perfect amp for these subs. Onlu problem is the amp doesnt like to be used for more than an hour. I have it mounted where air can flow under the amp and over the amp and it still overheats and goes into safety mode. The longest drive I've gone with this amo is 2 and a half hours. Was disappointed it overheated halfway through the drive but when it is running this amp is amazing. Just need to figure out how to better cool this amp without drilling holes in the top to mount fans. If anyone has suggestions please advise. I would hate to have to send this back before the 60 day warranty expires.
