Get what you pay for.....
Basically, this amp is 2 things.....very loud and not very refined. I get a lot of engine noise through the speakers with this amp, but it gets drowned out at high volume. Also, I can't turn the base up high on the amp without cracking from the speakers even at low volume. It is pretty loud though!

I hope this one is better...
I bought this to replace the OVM4-1600, which began going into protect mode. I haven't installed it yet, but my first impression is that this new Gothic model is not as visually appealing as the OVM's. PA decided to change the beautiful chrome finish on the "M" shape to a flat silver finish. I suppose my system won't match until I need to replace the OVM1-4000 if it goes bad, and assuming PA doesn't change the appearance of the Gothic series again. I'll let you know how it performs when I install it.

If your looking for a mids and highs amp that will power you to clarity and concert like sound in your automobile, then look no further. Has great control, doesn't clip easily, and doesn't over heat when pushed hard. Installs and tunes very easily. Get one, install it and you'll love it.
