Great amp at a great price.

Easily powers 4 of my 6.5" speakers as well as my 10" Infinity sub running 2ohm. Has never overheated and I run it hard daily. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good 5 channel for budget price.

cheap but under powered

Price was right and it looked nice. Plugged it in to some polk momo fronts and rears and it is just barely enough to power them to full potential. Wish I had gone bigger.

I Have Respect for Power Acoustik

I had seen Power Acoustik before but always thought of the brand as cheap flea market junk. Man was I wrong! This amp has a very clean sound and plenty of power! I was not expecting much on the subwoofer side of things but it woke up the set of Power Acoustik dvc 10's that I paired with it. Coupled with a set of PA 4x6's and 4x10's and a sony head unit, this system rocks!!!! Where else can you put together a matched system for 600 bucks and get this kind of sound. It might not be quite enough to win a sound competition but it is enough to set off car alarms!!! In addition, my friends are all sick that my system hits as hard as theirs at a third of the cost!!!!!

Great product at a great value

Purchased for my husband for a new system in his truck. He loves it & he has had plenty of systems to compare to. Great deal.

Great amp for a low price

Bought this amp because I wanted to add some higher powered speakers and a sub to my 2013 mustang base model. I still need to do some tuning, but overall the sound is pretty good so far.

One thing to note that I missed, while this amp does have speaker level inputs, you will need a low level source for the 5th channel (subwoofer) So if your stereo doesn't have a sub/pre-out, you'll need a line level converter. Wish I had known, had to buy one locally.

Perfect!!!

Very good AMP, does what it says, no issues.
Pros: Using all 5 channels, makes my 15" 1200w fusion sub pound, front and rear speakers are clear and loud.
Cons: none
Recommend this AMP to anyone, enjoy :)
p.s. There customer service is awesome!

Great amp for the money!!!

I have had about 2 weeks of use out of this amp, and so far it has been great!!! It provides a great deal of power throughout the channels. I am only using 4 of the 5 channels right now, but I plan to add a subwoofer soon, and I'm sure that it will produce enough power to push the woofer. The amp is currently pushing 4 Boston Acoustic 5x7's rated at 50 watts RMS and this amp can easily out power these speakers, and its only turned up half way!!

Great stuff

Not many reviews out there on this amplifier at all. I've had competition style setups for 9 years now, so I have some experience. This amp cannot be beaten for the price of a 5 channel amp. I have no complaints after 6 months. It is nowhere near as powerful as my last Directed 5 channel 2200 Watt amp, but then again it costs 30% of what the Directed amp costed. I am currently using this amp in conjunction with a PA capacitor to run a JL audio 15W3v2, four 8" eminence and four PA tweeters. 9 speakers on the GT5-2500 and it sounds amazing. Like I said not as loud and clean as my past Directed amp, but definitely good enough to listen to everyday or park up and shake everything up. I would recommend this amp to anyone looking for a 5 channel or looking to run one amp. After this experience I would be willing to give their other Gothic amplifiers a try.

Awesome Amp

For the price, this amp looks great, sounds great, has great features, and is built really well. I have it powering two sets of Polk DB6501 components and two Polk DB651 Coaxials as of right now. This amp handles them with ease, and will handle the 10 inch sub I have on the way as well. Keep in mind that this is a little big if space is an issue for you. (It isn't for me because I have an '01 Bonneville with an 18 cubic foot trunk. Haha) I love the high, low, and band pass switches with adjustable crossover frequencies because it really allows you to fully customize your sound to your liking and, in my case, prevent damage to the component speakers by not feeding them too much bass. The dedicated subwoofer volume control knob will also come in very handy when my sub arrives. Again, great amp for the price point. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who is looking to do a great sounding budget build like I was. You will not be disappointed!

Great bang for the buck

Very impressed.with this Amp but, the manual could have been more specific on how to wire the high side inputs. The subwoofer power was more than I expected and I had to turn the gain down half way to power a Kicker CVR 10 wired in parallel to 2 ohms.

Best bang for your buck!

I first questioned buying this because it's a power acoustic and haven't really heard much about the brand. Man I am pleased, I was able to amp my speakers and obviously my sub. Zero issues what so ever. Would definitely recommend buying this, especially if your on a budget.

great amp for the price

I bought this amp to power a full system I installed in an 87 Silverado. I admit I was skeptical about running a single amp for an entire system, but for the price, and lack of space inside a single cab truck... necessity and cost won out.
I have it pushing a single infinity reference series dvc 10" sub, wired at 2 ohms, a pair of infinity reference series 6x9" running at 3 ohms behind the seat, and still have plans for a pair of 6 1/2" components in the doors. The amp has the numbers on the spec sheet to handle this load, and so far I'm pleasantly surprised that it's holding up to the challenge without breaking a sweat. This is the second amp I've gotten from sonicelectronix.com... the first one fried something internal....but the guys at sonic were polite and fast at getting me a replacement unit with no hassle at all... I will definitely continue to purchase my audio equipment from these guys, and this amp again as well.. thanks sonicelectronix.com

Good power

This one works great and has very good power. Not the cleanest sounding amp I've owned, but for the price and the power it puts out, it can't be beat in it's class.

My one complaint would be with the bass boost knob, which hardly boosts anything. Amp actually sounds better with it disconnected and the boost on the amp itself set to 3/4. (running 2 tens)

For the price it's a pretty good amp.

I've got it running 4 Pioneer TS 6.5 components and a Sundown Audio SA 10. It doesn't do rated power but that's not a suprise for an amp in this price range. It doesn't ever get hot even when pushing it hard and having it under a seat. It also lacks a subsonic filter. Sound quality is good. Overall I would buy this amp again.

Best sub-$200 Multi-channel Amp

After extensive research for one amplifier that "does-it-all" I ordered the Power Acoustik GT5-2500. There were no reviews for this new Gothic-family amp. Well, this amp does it all for me: 100W RMS running four component speakers, plus 480W RMS for the great JBL GTO804 8" Subwoofer. Unlike other amps in this price range, this one has VARIABLE high-pass filters for the component speakers (I set it to 100Hz). Most amps only give you 200Hz high-pass which is weird as the subwoofer is dialed to around 100Hz in its low-pass filter (in my setup anyway). This amp also lets you cancel the subwoofer x-over which is good for me as I have in the dash the Power Acoustik PWM-19 Parametric Equalizer so I can control the subwoofer's volume AND crossover point (I did not connect this amp's subwoofer control knob). Keep in mind many advertised specs (including at sonix) are wrong: there are NO Preamp RCA outputs, the input gain range is 0.25V~6V and not 0.2V~8V (it helps to see the zoom photos as well). Overall great sounding amp that allows you a single amp install without the need for a subwoofer amp. I only wished this sub would have sub-sonic filter, and that Power Acoustik's tech support would be more responsive and helpful via email. My other considered amps were the Precision Power PPI S580.5, the Crunch P1-5050.5 and the Boss CX1800, none of which come close to the power and features of the GT5-2500. I will definitely buy another same amp for a different car as it simplifies installation and gives best "bang for the buck".

Power acoustic GT5-2500

Awesome amp for the price. Ordered this amp to replace my 2 kicker amps. The power Acoustic drives my four 61/2 Sony speakers with no distortion. Installing was a piece of cake since I was swapping amps. I'm currently not using the 5th channel because my sub has its own built in amp.
Cons : none found
Pros:,price, performance and it takes up less room compared to the Kickers.

Good sounding amp

Have had for years in my Ranger SPL build. Provides component speakers with enough consistent power and sounds clear. Have never had a problem tuning or installing. Good quality.

great budget amplifier

Really happy with this amp so far, i'm running a 12'' JL audio subwoofer bridged along with 6.5'' focals and still have channels left to play with, if you fancy a complete car audio set up this is the amp for you, and for the price no brainer!
