Its not 2000watts

This amp is ok but its not puting out the power that the chart says it puting out is maybe a 1000watts my sister has this amp on two punch p2's, it sound ok but i have an Alpine mrp-350 dat will make dis amp look stupid haha its best to get a true wattage amp like Alpine, JL audio, Kicker, Punch or Hifonics

Over rated

It's a good amp, doesn't run hot, but it doesnt put out what it's RMS is stated to be. Clamped it put out just under 900 watts on 14.1v @ 1Ohm load.

power acoustik ovi-2000d

The following review is for a previous version (OV1-2000D).

This is a great overall amp with incredible power! I have it hooked up with 2 cvr 12's and it really hits hard!

WOw

I just got this amp and I have it hooked up to three four ohm sub-woofers
wired at one ohms.. It pushes about four hundred watts to each sub which is there RMS.. and It sounds great.. They hit super hard and I haven't had a problem with anything yet.. So I would say go for it... the only thing I don't like about it though is that it is 3" tall.. and It barley fits under my seat.. and I mean barley.

Just....... yessss

i have recently purchased this amp and WOW. i know i haven't had many systems yet but after researching for about 6 months i found this. it's at a great price for a new amp and they go perfect with my two JL w3s. let me just put it this way, it pushes my subs enough to bounce the phone off of the top of my trunk about 4 inches. also it doesn't seem to heat up real fast at higher playing levels so thats another plus.

small amp BIG POWER

i bought this to push 2 Power Acoustik Thin13s. this pushes them with no hesitation at 900watts rms @ 2ohms. its a small amp but has the power you need. the only issue i had with the gothic series is i also bought the onn4-840 and in two months the chrome piece on the top is flakin after 2 months. idk if this will happen to this one but well see.

Very good product

The following review is for a previous version (OV1-2000D).

I'm using this amp at 1 ohm to power 2 Infinity's Kappa Perfect 10d VQ and the sound quality is phenomenal. The drivers are rated 400W RMS each so 800W total and I can't hear any distortion without first damaging my ears.

The other author states that it can't take 1/0 gauge wire which is correct, but why would anyone want that? It takes true 4 gauge which is fine up to about 20 ft so if you're the happy owner of a limousine simply use a distribution block.

Great Quality

The following review is for a previous version (OV1-2000D).

I have this amp wired to my factory head unit. It has the Power Acoustik PW3-15H 15" PW3 Series Dual 2 ohms Subwoofer Hooked to it. I have the sub wired in parallel which puts it at 1 ohm to the amp @ 1200 watts. The speaker is rated at 900watts So I backed it down a little. It never even gets warm. The amp is a great value for the price and is truly a quality product. Very loud Bass!!!! Power Acoustik has come a long way. Do yourself a favor and take it from a big JL Audio Fan and save yourself a ton of money. Go with PA!!

A good product at a good price.

The following review is for a previous version (OV1-2000D).

I purchased this amp to power my two MA Audio MA1500XL's. I have them wired to 1 ohm , and I've never had the amp cut off even once, and I've played it at maximum volume for at least 15 minutes straight. I would say that my subs reach about 3" excursion using a 20Hz tone with this amp. It has a great look. Aggressive, yet clean at the same time. Although I wish the LED itself was under a shroud or something so it wouldn't glare. The remote knob is very handy, although I wish it had a little but wider adjustment. Overall, I am very pleased with this amp and I would buy it again. NOTE: THIS AMPLIFIER WILL NOT TAKE 1/0 GAUGE WIRE!!! I would say the absolute max would be 4Ga.
