Bang for your buck

I have this amp powering 2- 12" kicker cvr's in ford explorer and it is surprisingly powerful!! I have had a lot of different set ups in a lot of different cars and this one hits the hardest. The kicker cvr's can handle massive amounts of power, the problem is I cant seem to keep the amp from overheating. Its not bridged either I have it running to specs 2 channels at 2 ohms for 450 watts rms. It sounds great but the amp just cant handle it for more than about 20-30 minutes at a time before it cuts off and I have to turn down the bass!! I would rate this amp only 3 stars because of that.

OVN-2 2200

I have owned this amp for a year pushing 2 12" P3S subs in a sealed single box. I loved it, never got hot, flawless operation at 2 ohms stereo. I sold the sytem, same hook up for bout 6 months, then bought the amp back, and I purchased 2 12" P3 subs, not the shallows, and put them in a sealed box. Used amp on 4 ohms bridged power,... WOW what a beast runs cool all night long, flawless operation for me. I have sold it again and am sticking with Power Acoustic and ordered the ovn1 5500d. I have been satisfied with PA amps and will continue using them.

bump in the trunk

This amp is petty good if you want some bump in your trunk or to rattle your friends heads a little but it over heats easy if you stress it to much so if you want some big hits and lots of power you might not want this amp but if you just want some bump with the ability to make your ears tickle this is pretty good and the remote makes it even better so you can turn it down if cops are near or to hear something so that's always a plus I have mine hooked to 2 coustic carbon fiber 10s and it will get you a ticket but won't win you a trophy

Faulty

I ordered this amp and it powered the two 12 power accoustic subs I had for about a 2 hours total total over two days before smoke came pouring out of the port in my box.
The bass knob I recieved was not functional either.
I have put in an RMA and already sent it back. If it doesn't work the second time around I won't recommend this brand to anyone. I feel like I have essentially paid 160 dollars for something to ruin two subwoofers.

STILL BUMPING

I have had 4 Power Acoustik amps. 3 Power Acoustik OVN-2 1600 and I still have 1 in my 95 mustang thats been hooked up to 2" Cvr Kickers in a T-Line enclosure for the last 9 years Not one time has the amplifier ever turned off or over heated. I push the heck out of it and everything is turn to max. So have just purchased a Power Acoustik OVN2- 2200 and hooked it up in my Chevy Tahoe on 2 12" P3s in a T-line enclosure and it is beating up the truck sometimes I have to pull over to see if anything has falling off the truck. Overall EXcellent amp for the bucks. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great amp for a low price. SPOIL YOURSELF GET 2 IT will be worth.

Nice Amp

I had this amp paired with 2 of the 12" Power Acoustik fubar subs and it sure did do the trick. They sounded very good accually. I never did have a problem with it overheating and I had it for about a year and the guy I sold the car to liked the set-up too. The only thing I the amp is really big for its power but on the other hand it does give that extra nice touch to your set up

Great Amp

This is a very good value, paired with Sony 10" 1200w max subs, it pounds and sounds great! Also looks great, the amp doesn't have to be hidden as it looks awesome enough to compliment the rest of your system
