Good unit. Some problems.

After installing the unit, I started having problems with the map function. After a while the sd card completely died on me. I had no access to gps or Utilities apps. This happened after 3 days of installation. I tried contacting the manufacturer and that led to nothing. I had to return the whole thing to Sonic Electronix. After receiving my replacement, the unit I received had a grounding problem which I fixed on my own. After working around these little problems I have to say the unit is great and offers a lot of awesome features and transforms your car entirely. Maybe I got faulty units or maybe their build quality isn't really the best. I say buy it, but be warned there might be some problems.

on my Third unit

The first one had an audible noise when using the USB, so I sent it back, received a new one and after a week the GPS just stopped working. So again, I sent that one back. So now, I am on my third unit, and so far it’s been working for two weeks as of May 24, 2012, but time will tell (Sonic has been great. I contacted the MFG and I cannot say the same). All three units also responded a little differently. This unit, the GPS has a lag in it. The other two, the lag was not as noticeable, and if you want to hook up an amp, you still need a hi/lo converter.

Had it installed yesterday. So far I like it. There is slight noise when playing DVD but all in all it's a good unit.
