1 Farad= 500 amps
If you need a capacitor make sure its big enough to run your system. Say your amp is 1500 watts, then you need at least a 3 farad cap. I saw someone post a review giving it two stars. Well his amp was 1600 amp and he was using a 2-farad cap. His complaint was his lights were still dimming even though he had this cap. I am just letting people know.

overall I think its just an ok cap. I don't think its actually 2 farads though. I'm only running a total of maybe 1600 watts max and my lights still dim and I can watch my voltage guage needle hop around a little. also it seemed a little generic because even on the packaging and instructions there were typos and words mispelled. would most likely be a good cap for a system running maybe 1000 watts. upside was how cheap it was

I have this hooked up to a NVX JAD1200.1. My lights still dim and I still drop below 12 volts. This cap is probably better for systems under 1000 watts.

POwer Acoustic 2 Farad Capacitor

This is a great cap for the price, I've had mine for about 6 months now and it still works perfect, I'm running 2 amps off of it (about 1400 watts total) and a Kicker 15". I would definitely reccomend this product.

Great for the price

For the price it is a great deal!..does its job...however it does not fix all light dimming but does add a little extra boost to assure power loss on those deep hard bass hits!!..just know what you need it for and don't expect it to fix all your power issues..but overall..good product!

instant improvement

My capacitor showed up with clear plastic hold down clamps, but otherwise its doing a great job, i had been having major voltage problems before the capacitor install, and i had done the "big 3" upgrade with a brand new high output battery, and 1/0 power/ground wires, but on the big bass notes my volts would get sucked down from 12 to 10V or less (voltmeter in dash)..i then installed this capacitor with a overall system upgrade and 2 more amps, i was expecting to have even worse voltage problems but to my surprise my in dash meter is reading higher than ever before, i idle above 12V and the one capacitor is feeding 3 amps (1000wattsRMS) 13+V.
my sub loves it, my headlights love it, it really did solve way more problems than i expected, very happy with the performance so far

this capacitor is exactly what my system needed, does everything it is supposed to with the price tag that we all enjoy, the led's look pretty awesome when my system starts drawing power from the cap, easy install and highly recommended

I got my system hooked up with this cap and my lights dont dim anymore! It also adds more power to your system. The blue leds look sick. It works just likes it supposed to and was deffinately worth it for the price.

No issues

Other than the fact that, A cap will NOT solve your dimming and whatever other power issues you have. As I was told it would (not by Sonic), I learned that you have to start with the "big three" charging system upgrade (takes about an hour and $20), then maybe upgrade to a HO alty and then a serious battery if you still have issues.

A cap is simply a nice addition, levels some of the peaks and valleys and may improve some response time. That's it.

I had this product for about three months and it decided to die and kept popping my fuses. i recommend buying something else. it looks pretty cool though and it is a pain in the butt to screw into the box

Great Capacitor!

It doesn't get much better for the price than this. I just installed it and it holds a charge with ease, whole looking great and displaying your voltage with a perfect blue screen... For the 45 bucks, just buy it already!

Cool Cap

This cap provides that power boost when my amp needs it. My lights don't dim anymore. And this thing has a cool little blue led display that just plain looks cool. If your lights flicker and dim when the bass hits in your ride, buy this cap and you won't be disappointed...I wasn't!!

Purchased to solve headlights dimming

This is the second one I purchased to help stop my headlights from dimming. Only running one did not help. So I have two running in line. Not to sure of the extent of help this setup is having for my car, because I also switched my subs and amp to stereo instead of running parallel at a lower ohm. Overall, I think switching to stereo Vs bridged solved my problem, but this product with my setup does help the amp and subs keep a strong sound continuously without weakening.

I purchased this capacitor to help my 1200 watt sony amp from losing power when that deep bass hit and to keep my lights from dimming and it works great! I also like the blue led lights that adds some flare in my trunk reflecting off of the chrome off the amp and cap. Installation was easy and instructions very helpful.

$50 for a 2 farad cap, It does what it was meant to although a cap won't fix all your power problems if you don't have a good enough alternator. Easy to install if you follow the instructions and comes with a charging bulb, Great deal for a quick power fix!!

I have this cap and had it hock-up to a Lanzar VIBE276 2 Channel 2400W Viberant MOSFET Amplifier
amp and it work great. I bought a Hifonics BXi2006D which pushing a true 2000 watts and it helps but I need at least a 4 farad.

Its well worth it, i bought mine more then 6 months ago and it still works fine.

Power

If you have a high powered amp and subs and your lights keep dimming when you're bumping, then you'll neeed this capacitor cuz it can feed your system the power it needs to go full throttle without making your lights dim. So I recommend this capacitor to anyone.

Good Power holding

Has great power for 1100 watt system! Ground terminal snapped while putting ground lug on! That wasnt good.Can be replaced by a stud. Lucky Im a Tech and have lots of extra parts! Overall rock solid power so far.

Quality for the price

This cap. is a step up from the other brands I've owned. It seems to handle most the abuse from a 2000 watt system in RMS range, but above that with the lights on, it starts to draw from the alt/batt. Overall, for the price, it's a great deal. Assuming you're on a budget like me! Otherwise, get the RF.

Good Cap, Great Value!

I purchased this cap knowing before I installed my two Power Acoustik amps it would be needed. It was easy to charge with the supplied charging bulb, and works beautifully. The only problem I found with the cap is the display and l.e.d's don't stay on unless the sub takes a big hit and it needs to charge. I wish it would stay on always because its awesome to show off! Great Buy for the price and 2 farads!

Absolutly Awesome

I bought this product a week ago and just got it installed. All i can say is wow, talk about a complete package. It has the pwoer needed to drive your subs to the lowest level and also has some sweet LED lights on it. It's worth every penny spent and that isn't to many pennies spent on this bad boy. Enjoy and push it to the max!

Good Cap

So far so good, Old one was draining my battery; but this guy's doing the trick. Chrome looks kinda weird with all the ribs in it, I think the whole thing would look bretter if it was smooth. Price was alright and shipping was fast.
