WORKS GREAT!!

I bought this cap to add to my system I am currently running it on about 2000WRMS total and no dimming lights. I am also using a secondary yellow top battery it never dies and this is really being tested as I am pushing 2 kicker 15's.

not strong enough for big amps

I bought this cap to go with the MA audio HK401SX - 1800watt mono. I really can't see much of a difference with this cap connected or not. The lights still dim and the voltage meter drops from 14-15 to about 12 when bass hits hard.
The mounting brackets are also poorly designed. They stip easily and do not hold the unit very well. The chrome paint chips off of the brackets quickly.
The worst thing is the input/output design. You have to use o-ring connectors to hook up the amp since there is only 1 input but they don't make it easy with the way they designed the parts to fit on the terminals.

BEST CAP UNDER $100

DARN GOOD CAP. CANT BEAT THE PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE. COULDNT BEAT IT IF IT WERE $150 FOR THAT MATTER. LOOKS REALLY GOOD AND PERFORMS EVEN BETTER IF U RUN HIGH POWER AMPS.

YEA BABY

i am still trying to figure out how sonicelectronix can afford to seel such a great capacitor for only 100 dollars. i have two capacitors in my vehcile. 1 of these and another cheap 1 farad cap i got for over 10 bills. this will truly keep your audio from skipping and lights from dimming. dwhat ever you do... please buy this cap instead of another cheap 1 farad or so.. u may only need 1 farad but at this price and having 5 farads.. its less then most 1 farads out there... this is the ultimate buy.

Dont believe the hype

OK first thing,in my truck i am running a KENWOOD EXCELON 1600 watt class D MONO AMP,a yellow top optima battery,4 guage rockford power and ground setup to everything, one 12 inch comp Clif Designs sub in a sledgehammer ported box.And to say im not happy with this so called 5 fared cap.I charged the cap the you are supposed to do with the bulb that they supply to you in the kit.And i know its best if the cap is less than 18 inches from the amp and it is.I am also running two 4 guage grounds, one to the amp,one to the cap.The groung to the amp is hooked straight to the battry. And im sad to say that my headlights still dim under heavy bass hits.Im running my amp at a 2ohm load and KENWOOD said that it is cert to push 1200 watts RMS.So i would rate this cap at a 3 fared tops.So this cap is really only good for a 1500 watt RMS system not a 2500 watt RMS system.I need a bigger cap or a better brand name one.
