Installed: Power Acoustik PRO-808

I've purchased and installed several of the Power Acoustik PRO-808 speakers. I have used these as in-ceiling speakers. Spaced evenly across a floorspace of approximately 75 x 150 feet, I was delighted in how evenly the sound output is perceived when walking about the showroom with the sound set at a comfortable background music volume. Further, when the volume is turned up, (not often the case at this location) the speakers produce a remarkably dance-floor like experience, with the full range of highs and lows very audible.

Please be aware I did meticulously mount these speakers into the center of 2x2 ceiling tiles, using silicone RTV, and using the speaker's own cardboard shipping box over the back side, also RTV'd in place, to form a nuisance dust / debris cover. I did not want accumulated debris to become a maintenance problem with these speakers over time. I also gave their grilles a single light coat of appliance white epoxy spray-paint. This did not plug the speaker mesh, and helped them disappear into the suspended ceiling. To say my client is pleased with the installation would be an understatement, considering that professional in-ceiling speakers cost as much as five times the price, visually stand out more so than these once painted, and require much more expensive high voltage (70 V) PA equipment to drive. While this is an acceptable option, it was by far overkill for the simple background music required by the management. With these 8 ohm units, I used a relatively inexpensive home audio amplifier to do the job required.

Great mid-bass Speakers

I got a pair of these of these for a steal at Sonic, to play on the rear deck of my car. I am playing then with a MB Quart Onyx 4.80 bridged and they are very very loud and clean they go fairly high but the low mid is truly awesome . I am now planning to buy the 10s to match.

Purchased this speaker for a replacement for one of our vocal monitors. works great, plenty of clear natural sounds. using with a 450 watt fender PA system.

These r some great mid range speakers I have 4 15s cvr 2 2100 Brutus 12 6 in halfs 12 3in tweeters and 4 8in mids range 2 2400 boss on the highs

Great sound for a great price, I would reccomend these speakers as a low cost alternative to the high priced ones.
