I have had this unit for a couple of weeks so far but I am extremely pleased with it despite the negative reviews I've read. It had more features than I realized. The bluetooth is great because I can not only make calls, but also play my music on my phone, and also my iheart app on my phone thru the unit. I can add navi if I like and also a tv tuner. Picture is great, internal memory for custom screen savers is a bonus. I read some people say it was bright at nite but there is a dimmer control. All in all I'm very pleased and would recommend to anyone.

This thing is junk

Ok so this the first touchscreen DD head unit i have ever bought.. and even with not having alot of experience with other brands this thing is crap of the purest form. From terribly layed out display with submenus for everything (you have to open a menu to change a song or do anything for that matter) excessive load times to start it up and to read a disc or usb..the Bluetooth works when it wants to, you can hear the person sometimes but cant talk back or even END the call for that matter. The build it amp sounds like poo and makes all sorts of whine and electrical noises. The Ipod input and radio works but the Ipod interface will glitch up sometimes and freeze the entire unit ( you cant even shut it off) so you have to hit the reset button on the front... maybe thats why is so conveniently located? I think the only thing that does work nicely is the touchscreen itself and thats pushing it.... don't waste your time with this spend a little more for a more known name brand like I should have

Good for the money

I will recommend it because of the low price and it does everything that is says.

pros, cheap, nice looking, many aplications (camera, SD, DVD, Bluetooth) the most I liked is the ability to connect my cellular to play music with no wires.

Works good only one problem

This product has been great so far. The only problem I've had so far is that sometimes it will restore default settings when starting my car. It doesn't do it all the time, every once in awhile. Other than that it's been great.

Overall good product

I agree with everything Jamal said in last review. Good product, minor flaws. Everything works, the only glitch so far is, when I activate my back up camera, about 1 time in 10 the unit doesn't pick up the signal and automatically switch on. This is fixed by power off then on again.
Plenty of pre outs and inputs. Currently running Crunch 5000.5 1300 watt, 5 ch amp, and MTX 6x8's. Really good sound. Like I said, overall worth the money. Sonic Electronix real good cust. service, fast shipping. I bought the extended warranty.

Very Good with minor flaws

This screen is awesome when it comes to clarity and definition. The touch screen is wonderful and flawless. Some of the key features are the bluetooth. The Bluetooth is able to stream music and phone services along with your phonebook. The only flaw to the bluetooth is that in order to use the on screen display, you have to go to that menu. So if your watching a movie and want to make a call, its better to pick up your phone and dial it and it will display on the screen for the duration of the call, and then resume the movie. The caller ID works well and everything. The other flaw is that the microphone cord is not long enough to mount in a far distance. Other than that, I think everything is great. I can change bass and treble and EQ while on any screen without music turning off. Good product. Very pleased.

amazing so far

got this a few days, i cant speak on the longevity of the item. but it works amazingly well and its definitely a steal for the price. if your thinking about buying it go ahead its a quality product from an up and comer in the car audio world.

Save your money for a beter unit

After reading other reviews and having a limited budget I decided to get a Farenheit TID-735NRBT with mixed emotions. When I checked on my order the following day, I was a little bit surprised that Sonic Electronix shipped PA PTID-7350NRBT instead. Well after speaking with some at SE I was told that these two are the same units and are marketed under a different name. No big deal.

Now on with the evaluation!

The plugs in the back of the unit a very flimsy. then retaining tab is very small and the plug kept popping out. As some people mentioned already, navigation from one source to another is cumbersome and you need. The touch screen is not very sensitive and you have to press hard sometimes several times to get your response take effect. The touch areas are also very small and even thought my fingers are not very big I had a problem with hitting the right selection.

I bought this unit for 3 main reasons, watching video, iPod and being able to stream audio from my Droid phone. Surprisingly the DVD quality is pretty good but you cannot navigate though the DVD menu options with the touch screen. the only options you get is play, pause, stop, rev and ff. However both BT and iPod features are junk!!! Streaming of audio from my phone sounds very flat and you get a slight buzz when listening to audio or have a conversation on the phone. The iPod feature is even worst. Actually its absolutely useless. The iPod started playing when I plugged it in but I zero control over it.

Needless to say, I'm returning this radio and waiting until I can afford to by something better.

Great Cd Player

I bought this cd player because they were out of the pioneer cd players that i wanted. Well now that i got this cd player i love it. I havent had any problems with it. It has my highs sounding awesome. and my 2 15'' sound great with this to. If u ask me i'd tell u get this cd player its worth the money......

Great stereo

Best stereo I've ever bought. The touch screen works well, it's much softer than a cousin of mine's stereo, since you don't have to be too forceful. The blue tooth works well, synchronizes with my phone in about 10 seconds (Nokia E63). The sound has been improved, with good setting to give a heavy bass line and crisp treble. Picture quality is good also...i'm done writing, buy it. :)

Works great and you can change the backgrounds and layout. Movies look great!

For the price paid I have no complaints what so ever. The product is user friendly on the go. Great product for the money.

I bought this cd player and I love it. I'm a Pioneer man my self but I went with this cd player because Pioneer were sold out, and i must say i don't regret it. if asked about this cd player i would say yes buy this cd player you want regret it.

GOOD STEREO REGARDLESS OF THE PICE

Sound quality isnt amazing but its pretty good ... Bluetooth would not conect at first but it also works flawlessly now. The sound varys from dvd to radio. Its a bit lower on dvds and cds. Very noticable I installed it myself, Typical radio install, took some wiggling to get it in my 03 explorer. The aux plug in the front didnt work like i thought it would, its not like the headphone jack plug thats standard in newer cars.

The product has many features for the price. However not all the features work. The bluetooth does not function well, and the preset functions erases on its own. The DVD plays well, and the product looks good.

Not Worth It!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't suggest this unit to anyone. I just bought this unit on 6-18-2010 and by reading the reviews everyone left i felt pretty good about the unit. After installing the unit i was having alt noise and background noise coming from the unit and after buying ground loops and re grounding the unit several times nothing changed. So i went to and audio shop and they check it out and said it was the unit and not my ground at all and that's why the ground loops didn't work...so i took it other places and all said the same that power acoustik are not good units for sound/ the next problem was when I'm out of the car and the inside of the car gets hot the unit will not play any cds or dvds or any sound period...i hate this unit I'm looking at the JVC's now i wouldn't recommended anyone to buy this unit....and when playing cds and dvds the sound will not get loud at all! if you like to adjust equalizers for the best sound this unit is not the one it only has treble and bass

Worth it!

After speaking with someone at b**t b*y they said that the only screen they carried that was better than this one was 1,000$. I got my moneys worth and am glad that i found a great product. I love my screen so much i got my girlfriend to buy the same one too! I havent had any problems, i use the DVD player, the ipod, love the bluetooth, little noisy but my truck is as well. Its a great buy and it came a day early, Sonic is amazing, glad i bought here!

not bad, but not great

It's a good deal for the money, but I can tell it's not as good as a higher end unit. All the features work, but the screen resolution isn't very good IMO. Install went smoothly. Like other reviewers noted. The OS is a little cheesy.

Sound quality wasn't as good as the factory radio in my BMW.

awsome buy

This is a great unit to own, it has a sub level that goes from 0 to 15, you can also control the hertz on the bass level, it does have a dimmer, no feed back (that is why you have it professionaly installed). I would recomend this to anyone it is a great buy, it has a loud button to.
