great value great speaker!!!!!!

i bought 2 of these speakers about 4 months ago and put off reviewing them untill i had time to get them nice and broke in. i have them under powered with a 600 watt boss amp running the pair and even with the lack of power they push out 126 db on my spl gauge and verry clean bass with no noticable distortion. all in all i was verry pleased that a speaker which cost less than $50 and fit into a narrow truck box would hit this hard and sound this clear. amazing value!!!

Best value and real surprise Bass accuracy and volume

I built a 42" x 10" x 10" rectangular style box and divided it right in the middle giving them 1 cubic ft each. I placed the speakers 4 inches from the ends and used sch 80 3' PVC to port the same side. I have them running bridged on 1/2 of a Pyramid Gold Series 4ch 1800w amp.

The bass is so accurate and so much more than I had anticipated. All my friends are blown away by how much sound you get from them. I put this box in the cargo space of a 1990 Geo Tracker LSI. You cant go wrong with these.

PS: they are as tough as they look.

Biggest 8's for the buck

I purchased 2 of these for my 1990 Geo Tracker restore and WOW!!!! These things just don't quit. I used 1 cft per speaker with a 3" pvc port to 1.5 inches from the back of the box and they are extremely accurate. I am running both briged off of one side of an 1800watt 4 channel amp (so essentially 900 watts peak) and they run clean for days :)

Great bass for a great price!!

So for a while, I have been contemplating on switching out my 8in sub for a 10in. I fabricated my own 8in sub box (measured at 0.35 cubic feet) a while back for my 2012 Honda Fit, but the sub that I had just wasn't doing it for me. So I decided to give an 8in sub one more chance. This sub SURPASSED my expectations. First off, the sub is very well built and looks mean. They say that you can't get much deep bass from 8in subs. This sub has AMAZING deep bass and AWESOME punch!! I highly recommend this sub to anyone that wants a sub that will not only save space, but also save money and produce fantastic bass!!

Undecided

I got one because it was so cheap and looked touch as nails.. Put it in a 0.85 cu ft sealed which is within its design and I couldn't get it to do much.. I know it's just an 8in.. But at 240 or so watts I expected more.. Might do better in ported.. 10in prolly better...I'm returning mine, I got two twelves at 1200w so maybe I am just spoiled lol

8 in power acoustic reaper

great sub replace stock sub in a 07 pacifica and threw 250 watts at it way better than infinity stock sub twice as loud and could easily handle 400 watts maybe 500 if u dont turn it up to loud.looks and feels sturdy its not a cheap sub

Power Acoustic RW1-8 rocks

These litte 8's hit hard. I have 2 in a share 1.5ft3 box and I only have 60 watts to each, not even close to the 250 they are rated for. They fill my suv with bass. With more more power to these they would be even better. I highly recommend them.

Good sound

I used them to rebuild some super old RadioShack speakers, they sound great; hit all the tones from sub low through the low range and the louder they go the better they sound, I was able to eliminate my subwoofer from my sound system with these in my RadioShack bookshelf speakers. overall I'm exceptionally pleased.

Great amp

Looks great, operates even better. Could not have asked for more from such a reasonably priced amp. Puts out plenty of juice to run my two 240 watt RMS subs. The subs clip before the amp does. Time will tell if it will last. When it is powered on, a blue light illuminates on the front panel of the amp.
