Powerful amp at a great price
I purchased this amp and installed it nearly 2 months ago. It never shuts off or overheats and I drive more than 2 hours every day for work. Installed in my trunk, ran a 4gauge power cable that I trimmed slightly to fit, and run it hard for hours at a time. Recommended if you are using for personal enjoyment. Note that the instructions are not clear on how to wire the remote power on. You must connect this to the white wire on the remote bass level potentiometer.

I have been looking for a small amp because I don't have a lot of extra space in my 2000 GMC 2500 Ext Cab - and wanted a digital amp because i was concerned about heat. It has been 20 years since I had an amp that wasn't factory and so far I am thrilled with this product. It has only been a week since i installed it so I can't really comment on durability but I am truly impressed with the amount of power this puts out.
Currently it is running a set of Infinity 6.5 components in the front, Infinity 4 x 6 door pods, and two Infinity 10 subs built in a down firing enclosure that I made.
I am not an audio file but this system sounds awesome and is perfect for my eclectic tastes. I am still working to get the gains set properly and play with the high and low pass filters. I will have to do a little more research on the best method to do this by ear and not trigger the protection circuit which I have done twice.
The only issue I had during the installation is that the amp will only take an 8 gauge power feed and I had already ran 4 gauge in anticipation of getting another amp and that the terminals screws were Phillips head screws. Not a big deal and for the price I paid I am not going to complain.
Just to be complete this amp's source is a Pioneer Avic D4 (pretty old) and I usually listen to an Ipod or bluetooth through a Motorola TK30 - provides Ipod and Bluetooth.

This thing will power your whole system and the thing is tiny. I am running NVX speakers, front components in front and 6x9 in rear and a NVX VSW104 subwoofer. everything runs good. i just don't believe that the 600RMS @ 2OHMS. I tried the box on a 400rms kicker and it hits harder. But for the price, this is a good buy for a all around system and easy to hide. oooo and it just gets warn with 2hrs of play.

Nice and compact. I'm no expert but I don't think it can push 2500 watts. I have it hooked up to a pair of rf shallow mount 10 r2... Non the less it sounds good. I'm happy for the price.

This little amp is probably a bit overated in wattage but is very clean and runs very cool. Been running it for over a month now. The small guage wires are a little annoying but i have big fingers so it just takes a little longer to fumble my way through it. The instruction manual needs to be in a larger font as I had to literaly use my cell phone to zoom in on it to see what the diagrams were but being made in north korea, i guess they need to save ink for more important things like propaganda...overall, great amp for the value

The amp seems to been well built but the wire connections suck.Set screws for wire tightners? When you tighten the screws on to small fine wire the screws cut the wire. These wire connectors need a rethink.

First of all its small. It could in any ride. I'm running pioneer D series components up front and orion HCCA components in the back and it pushes them loud and clear. The sub channel is most impressive. I was running 2 JL 12W6 V2 subs in a sealed box wired at 4ohms and iwas amazed at how hard it pushed them. Love this amp! Especially for $150. Also a friend has a JL 5 ch he paid $550 for and he was impressed with this amp.

It seems that I am the only unlucky guy who has bad experience with this amp. I am from Bosnia and beside all difficulties (Bosnia is out EU; had to be patient with shipping...) I decided to get this 5-channel amp. It's specification and customer comment were OK. Finally, after almost two months I got it. After installing it with professional installation kit I realize that subwoofer and one channel do not work. Other three are OK and sound seems correct. Still it is in warranty period but I am not in favor to use it because it would be another frustration for me (at least I should wait for two months to have some feed-back). I wish other customer who buy RZ5-2500D to have less bad luck than I did...

Does what it says, first install I've done alone and no problems yet. Runs cold never heats up too much I don't think, so definitely a D-class.
Only powering a sub through one channel at the moment, will be wiring all speakers to it soon.
IMPORTANT: the remote turn on wire to connect to your head unit is the wire that's connected to the bass control knob. Plug the bass control knob thing into the amp, find the 'white?' wire (I think it's white) and connect that to the remote wire you should get from a wire install kit, super easy.
I can't vouch on how much this thing actually powers, apparently they over rate it, but it's powering 2 10' pioneer shallow mount subs in the 5th channel pretty well.
The tuning knobs are easy to turn and such, almost too easy, but they don't move so it's good.

The power and ground wires are really close together for some reason on this amp so care must be taken when hooking it up. It is a good amp for its class rating.

found this helpful.Nice Amp, but the ratings are way off
For the $$$, yea, nice amp. But I put an oscope on this and this is not getting anywhere near the RMS ratings. I even used a power source at 14 volts and at best it was doing 65 watts x 4 and right at 250 on the mono. I wanted a cheap system in my hunting vehicle. Overall for money, can't complain, but I don't understand how these companies are stating numbers taht are nowhere near close. I thought there were electronic standards?

Good little amp. I don’t think it puts out 2500 watts, but it powered all my speakers decently. Sound quality is surprisingly good for a cheap amplifier. As far as design, I don’t like those pig tails to connect the RCA inputs and the remote connection should be next to the 12 volt power supply. Other than that, it’s pretty good.

found this helpful. Not the Advertised power but........
This Amp is nowhere near as powerful as claimed otherwise my speakers would be smoked already.....I would say it's probably 50-60% of the stated power. However, the sound is clean going to the speaker-definitely tune it to match proper voltage output using a multi-meter. I would buy another if needed.

This is a pretty amazing sub for the price. It is very compact and fits perfectly under my honda accords seat. Everyone thought I replaced my stock speakers after being powered by this puppy. I am also using the 5th channel to power a sub. I don't think that the power output quite measures up to the advertised outputs, but it still packs a punch and provides plenty for my needs. The connectors and wires are pretty cheap and hard to work with, but is a minor inconvenience, especially when you consider the price.

found this helpful.Do not buy!
I purchased this so it can power all my speakers and a sub. Had it professionally installed and was completely disappointed. This is not 400rms I had to buy a different amp for my sub and the speakers didn't sound any louder or better than before.

found this helpful.A word of caution
First off, I am not against Power Acoustik, I have used their amps for a long time now with no issues.
I purchased this amp because of the limited space in my vehicle first and formost. But then I realized that this amp was greatly over rated in terms of power. It holds one 40 amp fuse, and there is no possible way it can produce anywhere close to the power stated even in terms of rms. Simple math for it is 40 ampers x 14.4 volts, and you get 576 total wattage this amp is capable of under the absolute best power conditions. That being said, I am sure it would work well, as the rz1 1500d amp I purchased has been a very quality amp. However, it has two 40 amp fuses installed in it, doubling the power it is capable of producing. Just wanted to share this information with every one looking at this amp as a possible purchase option.

If you're looking for a simple way to achieve some good sound by adding some subwoofers to your system this amp work great for me and it also brought the sound up on my factory speakers as well

The compact size made it easy to tuck it away. Connections were user friendly and made install go quick. Made my system come alive. Won't flex the windshield but it beats the hell outta the seat.

Nice and small but puts out good power. I bought this amp for my Harley while my JL Audio HD900-5 was getting repaired and it wasn't as clean but it still played pretty clean for what I paid. Also, I had it running a pair of 6.5" 2ways, 6"x9" 4 ways and 2 8" subs.

found this helpful.Just what I needed; economical, powerful and compact!
This 5-channel amp does exactly what I needed to replace an old
Precision Power PPI P900.5 amp from 2016 that was going bad. It's even a bump up in wattage from the old amp at 4 ohms. I have it paired with a MiniDSP 6x8 processor in my 2015 Honda Accord, powering Focal AS6.5 Components in the front, coaxials in the rear, and an 12" sealed custom sub box in the trunk. I'll be eyeing the 4 channel version as I consider moving to active 2 or 3 ways in the front channels.
If I had to take any points away, it's that the photos in the manual are so tiny i had a hard time reading the speaker channels and polarities went. The labels on the amp are tiny too, and the online manual seemed to have a different fuse/terminal layout than the amp in person. I also had to remove the amp after the first time I mounted it since the brackets protecting the terminal gets in the way of some of the terminal screws, but is only removable from the back side of the amp, which is inaccessible after mounting. I mention it so hopefully it helps you!
Thanks, Sonic Electronix for the great price and fast shipping!
