ppi is good again

I have tinkered with Car Audio for 30 years and seen many good brands go to crap , PPI was a goto amp in the 90s and I think they have made a comeback NOW. I got sick of the BS ratings and crap amps and was old schooling it for last 10 years

Ice 1600.4 , Does what it is rated and possibly a tad over. I hooked it up to Infinity Kappa 6x9 (in boxes) and 6.5 components. I abused the amp for 4 hours with the Kappas 2.5 ohm x 4 load.......Playing Pantera , metalica, Slipknot and then Pink Floyd for testing purposes......125 Db @ 3ft That tells me its making its power. The amp was warm but not hot 70 degrees in the shop.

The Bad:
The angled speaker lugs ! I did find that the screws do cut strands of coper so be sure to blow area with some air. or solder ends of wire

The x-over: Work ok but I found it necessary to do fine tuning using the detailed setting on head unit ( older kenwood }

for the $$$ PPI is my top pic currently, too bad Sonic is out of them or Id be ordering a few more
