Great Amp!

I am using this amp to power mids/highs in my Toyota Avalon. All channels working at a 2 ohm load. Various crossover options for the front/rear to match highs/lows or mid/tweet. Gets a little warm, but the sound is unbelievable! PPI continues to produce great amplifiers that will play both LOUD and ACCURATE!!

Love PPI amps

I have been a fan of PPI amplifiers for 20 years. They sound great and are very durable. Although I haven't had this one long, I am impressed with the quality of this amp. This only issue I have had with it is using the balanced inputs. I am glad that they have them and wish it would become a standard with car audio. But the DIN connector could use some work. The connector is not very well secured to either the amplifier or the RCA to balanced module. I've had the connector fall out/off when going over bumps in the road. PPI needs to look at having a locking mechanism for this connection.

Excellent amp for this money

I installed this amp half a year ago. Head unit- Pioneer 8400, Speakers - Morel Tempo 6, Sub - Alpine 1243. The amp has enough power, the sound is clear and bright. Amp was installed without outer cooler and after approx. 4 hours of work (30 degrees outer temperature) it was switched off (It was one time for 6 months). The amp has balanced inputs but I used RCA because my H.U. doesn't support Balanced outputs. I recommend this amp for budget installs.

Clean & quiet

A clean and very quiet amplifier. Some of this is due to the Balanced input option that I am using. With the gains set properly, the noise floor is eerily quiet. It is the nicest sounding amplifier that I have owned. I'm running two sets of 2 ohm comp's on this. More than enough power. It only gets slightly warm to the touch when running it at stupid loud levels. Make sure you use full-sized power cables. It ran very hot with #8, which was there from a previous install. Now with #2 cables it's fine.

This amp is awesome. Loud, clean, crisp sound, a lot of options with the cross-over filters and multipliers. Considering new options as a result.

Does get a little hot, and the owner's manual could give more info on set-up given the number of options such as band-pass and use of multipliers.

Over-all, VERY COOL.
