I purchased these looking for a reasonably priced 3-way 6x9 co-axial. Was not interested in flashy grills, six tweeters, or any extra garbage they stick on to make a sale.
These hit the mark spot on. Has everything you need, without anything you don't. I power these with an aftermarket Pioneer deck. They were put in small 6x9 boxes (available at W******) and the low frequencies are there, but subtle. They definitely won't take the place of a sub.
Sound quality is great for the price, no noticeable distortion even at higher volumes. High frequencies are clear and crisp without any perceptible harshness. They could be guilty of being a tad "tinny" at times, but that is subjective.
I would recommend these to others, and would buy them again. There's probably some speakers out there with greater bass response, but I have 2 8's and a 12" sub so that's been a non-issue.
