Pyle PDBT 18 super tweeter

NOT LONG LASTING

At first they sounded wonderful. But after 1 year they have become rather harsh at an annoying frequencies emphasizing on the letter "s". And sounding terrible the louder it gets

So far so Good

This review may not be helpful. I have only connected the tweeters with alligator clips to see if the worked and how they sounded. The cabinets were on their backs to keep the drivers from falling out. I had to put the project on hold for a while so they have only been used for a few minutes. The tweeters will be used as replacements in a home audio speaker system. So far they work and they sound pretty good. I thought I would have to pad them down, but they seem to blend well with the other drivers in this three way system. I am using the system crossover network. I think they will work okay for my needs, but I need to hear them mounted and the cabinets upright to give a detailed review. I hope to have the project done soon. Maybe another review then. My rating does not reflect my final impression of the tweeters. I was asked to give a review now so here it is.

I would definitely recommend these for that nice clear high end pitch. They definitely completed my stereo system.

Great Tweeters

I bought a pair of tweeters identical to these through a different brand for $40. Its the exact same speaker. These tweeters are amazing for the price. Sound great if you need some high freq to go with aftermarket bass. The install can be tricky with the wire terminals sticking out so far but it can be done. These are definitively worth the money.

For the money these can't be beat! ...unless you go get bigger more expensive Pyle's ;)

I have purchased name brand tweeters that blew up the first time using them. These are built tough and sound good. With the capacitor hooked up, these have been handling a 1,000 watt peak (per channel) amplifier.

I recommend these and will be buying more.

I have been using this tweeter for some time now. I am known to all my friends as the doctor and i abuse more stereo equipment than anyone i know. With the right clean power and mount location these tweeters whale. I run all my tweeters off one fosgate 500 and these tweeters will make your ears ring and the clarity is outstanding.

great for its price

I have one of these currently paired with two 6.5 inch speakers and these baby give me that crisp clear sound that levels out the mids. Cant wait to hook up the other 7 i ordered with some new midrange speakers nd see what she really sounds like
