Great Buy!

I have had this Pyle GPS,Radio,DVD head unit for a month now. It has been performing well and exceeds my expectations about it. The install was easy and fit just like the factory radio that was in my 2004 chevrolet Express van. I would recommend this radio to anyone that was looking for a good DVD,GPS,Radio and CD player unit. Only Dislike I have about it ....It takes the GPS a few minutes to get a signal from the satellites.

PLDNV 695

Not for the first time installer, but good unit so far.
I bought this unit to replace a DVD player that failed, and a GPS that was stolen. I routed the Video out, to my rear screen so the kids can watch movies. I did a fair amount of research before I bought this, so i knew what I was getting into. Installation is tough, and if you have never done this before, pay someone else. Double DINs arent super-easy to mount either, but i'm happy with how it turned out in my 04 Suburban. No cutting of dash required. So far i have used it for a few days, the radio plays music, the DVD plays movies, and the GPS gives directions. No issues there, fairly simple menu driven, touchscreen. Have NOT tried the blue tooth or other stuff yet. Just on DVD and GPS alone, this is a good vaue. If other stuff works, even better.

installed in a 2008 tundra

i never write reviews, but i felt compelled to write this one. i bought this unit despite some of the negative reviews, hoping maybe some of these were just bad units. i couldn't have been more wrong. this unit is terrible, i recommend this to nobody, even if you are on a budget, this is not the unit for you. first of all the unit is slightly larger than regular double din, which was a little bit of a pain, but not too bad. i have a lot of car audio fab experience, so trimming the dash kit wasn't too bad. the problems came after the install. when connected to a bluetooth call i'm told that i can barely be heard and there is much static. very annoying. sd media will not read. usb media will not read. touch screen is often slow and unresponsive. navigation is not accurate.
shame on me, with all my years of car audio experience, i should have known better. i wish i had listened to the other reviews, but they seemed to be split. i'm hoping more people will see these negative reviews and take them seriously. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

great choice

Super value for price.
Cons: no installation instructions. Person who wrote operating instructions knows far more English than my knowledge of Chinese, product would be excellent if they used a English literate proof reader and listed a product support web site or phone center. No grid or distance indicators for backup camera but great resolution.

I struggled thru install and l'm an elec engineer. Not sure others will figure out connection. Unit is larger than double din. Major surgery required to fit into f150 dash. Supplied bezzels don't fit. Beware those who say it fits your vehicle and mounting kit supplied, this is fault of sonic and not head unit. My install delayed one WK as wire harness and mounting kit did not arrive with unit and had to be reordered.

Pros. Best value for bucks. De-clutered my dash with consolidation of GPS and camera into head unit. Unit exceeded my expectations and recommend to others with civiate that they consider getting pro installation help.
