I got two for vehicles which did not have a backup system, both are full size vans. I mounted the camera on the inside up close to the rear window. I can see what is behind and the camera should last longer being inside.......the lens will require less cleaning.
I suggest keeping the screen out of direct contact with the sun's rays for longer service.
The cost of camera and monitor is very,very economical and it serves my purpose very well

I bought these to replace some screens that were many years old and couldn't be more happy with the performance and price. The resolution is beter than the previous models I owned. The price was about half of what I paid 6-7 years ago. I def recommend these!
