Pyramid PS26KX Great Power Supply
After having ran this power supply for the past 6 months, I can definitely say I'd recommend it for the user who needs a great medium-powered power supply. It looks great and runs like a top...not a bit of trouble in the time I've used it. I would definitely recommend it to my best friend. You will not regret buying and using this quality made unit.

power supply (Pyramid PS-26KX)
I have been using this supply for 6 months now and find it perfect for the radios I wanted to use. the only cons I can find are the volts meter is inaccurate reads 15 and is only doing 13.8. if the meters were backlit it would be a fantastic buy at this price. The reason I picked Pyramid is because I purchased a 12 amp supply over 10 yrs ago and it is still running great.

Greta Value! Great Product!
I have this item for almost 6 months, we use it every day for 5-6 hours in our lab. I felt its kind of zero maintenance, excellent and durable quality.

Great so far
I got this power supply for two reasons, first to have an easy way for testing car/marine audio equipment and also to run a sub/amp combo in the garage with my existing stereo out there because its hard to get car audio "bass" out of home audio powered subwoofers (unless you use Polk Audio home subs). The amp running off of this Pyramid PS26KX is and old Punch 40 which putts out somewhere around 180 to 200 watts and is pushing a single voice coil 4 ohm 12" sub in a sealed enclosure. I have the power supply set at about 14.5 volts and it allows the old Punch 40 to "be all it can be" with the gain set at about 3/4, never drawing above 10 amps from this power supply at full volume, which tells me this power supply could probably power at least a 500 watt amp with ease. The power supply has not gotten hot or given me any problems so far, it does make a high pitch noise for a couple seconds when I turn it off, but I believe it is supposed to do so as the protection light comes on when it makes this noise as it is powering down to shut off. Oh yeah, this thing is very heavy which is probably a good thing meaning that it is well built.

Pyramid PS26KX
I was running the power supply on a ham radio pulling 19 amps. The power supply quit working after a week. The SCR crowbar tripped and the Zener Diode burned up. I would never recommend this Power Supply if you need greater than 15 amps. In addition, I would replace the capacitors with greater than 25 volts - at least 30 or better.
