do a bit of investigating first.
I have the python car alarm/remote start model # 872P and was interested in a replacement remote. My previous remotes was a one-way the 7531P and the two-way with the ghost LED feature. I certainly like the idea of the LCD screen with the current status of the car always there and the mere fact that this remote is rechargeable with a mini USB input on the side. So I ordered one along with another one-way and also got another ghost LED remote for a total of three remotes because my remotes were pretty beat up. Anyway long story short after spending about a month with the local car alarm dealer and even being on the phone with a Rep from Directed come to find out this remote was not completely compatible with the 872P. Turns out you have to order the antenna from another model and plug that into your system leaving me with the choice of either using the two original remotes or the one single remote in which I would have to shell out more cash in order to get this one to work. needless to say I cut my losses and stuck with the other two. Now I have a $100 remote just sitting there.
