Holy Moly!
WOW! So i hadnt really heard too much about RE before but i was looking for a cheap sub to hold me off until i could afford a better quality woofer. now, i dont have to get a better quality woofer! for 45$ shipped, you will not find a better sub than this. 175 watts RMS my ass! this little monster will easily handle more as long as you know what you're doing. great bass, relatively shallow mounting depth, great company but priced the same as those cheap china knock offs, what more could you possibly want! all for $45!!!!!!
I'm now an RE fan for life!!!!

overrated
Great looking sub. Material cone and surround is made of seems to be of good quality, my biggest complaint of this sub is the cheap hookups for the speaker wire. Upon installation one of the negative legs broke on me. for a few bucks extra they could have used a better quality connector.
I used this sub to replace the factory 8 in my 02 yukon. It is powered by the factory amp and sounds decent for what it is but i do not believe it would take much more than 100-125 watts. It will do for now but honestly i wish i had shelled out a few extra bucks and got a better sub.

Sounds great and what a price
I installed 4 of these in my Porsche 911. Awesome sound and hit low for 8's. I'd say this line is comparable to the JL w1 series. Sounds really really good and a low price. I would buy again.

Crazy bass for the money.
I bought 4 of these not knowing that much about RE Audio. And all I have to say that if these are entry level then I can imagine how the pro or xxx sound. I put them in a ported box and a class d mono block amp they hit like 3-10"s or 2-12"s or better with cleaner sound. Now I am a RE Audio fan. Crazy low price. There mini beast. These baby's turn on alarms in parking lots.

Great lil 8
Did 4 of these at 2 ohms in a sealed enclosure and the sound quality was very good, for the price they are a great lil 8".

Great sub for $50
I have four of the RE 8 w/ flared ports, tuned to 40hz on a Rockford Fosgate Power T500/2 w/ .55 cu/ft each. Sounds great, low, and loud. I listen to all types of music. Sure there are great subs out there but you can't go wrong with these little subs for 50 bucks each. Also, I purchased an RE SE 10 inch from sonic 4 years ago and still sounding great.

One Awesome Sub!
I needed a sub for my car that would give me decent bass and weigh as little as possible. I tried the REX8D4 figuring that for $49.00 I couldn't go wrong. Was I ever amazed at what this sub can do!! I built a .35 cu. ft. box for it and lined the interior with .75" of three layer Sonic Barrier and it's getting 150 watts at 2ohms.
After spending an hour of listening to various types of music, I found this sub to hit just as hard as the REX10D4 and it goes just as low (about 30Hz). The best part is, it can be crossed over as high as 125 Hz and will give you suberb mid bass as well as the lowest of frequencies. The transient response is fantastic, it does not sound muddy at all and the best part is it does all this at very high SPL levels!!
This sub is a great buy and will not disappoint you in any way!!!

Good bass for 8
I hade to downsize to 8 inch subs because my 2 12 inch kenwoods was taking up too much trunk space. Never heard of this brand so I figure for **** I get 3 of these. Also order a box that will hold 3 subwoofers.
Got in 3 days shipping is fast. Hooked them up and wired it down to a 2ohm load and hook it up to my kenwood amp 900rms @ 2ohms. Let me tell you these things blew out my kendwood 12s. These little 8 inch subs put out some serious bass. Hitting the high and lows good. Tested out several songs from hip hop, R&B, old school hip hop and R&B,House music to Dub Step. Wasn't expecting much from them but now I'm rolling with RE audio for now on

RE Audio REX 8" Subwoofer
Great subwoofer. Definitely handles enough power to make a good boom. At one point I had it wired at 2ohms to an Alpine 500 wrms@2ohm amp (I doubt it was getting 500watts with the gain half and the boost all down) Now it's getting less than 150wrms@2ohms and it still vibrates my mirrors and seats, ya know? Great product for the price. It will definitely handle more than 175 watts, and it will definitely be recommended to others. Fast processing, fast shipping. 2 Thumbs up SonicElectronix.com.

Holy Cow !!!
purchased and installed 2 sets of MB Quart OSC213, a pair of RE Audio REX8D4, a Soundstream PN2.350D (for 8"s) and PN4.320D (for mids & tweets) controled by a Kenwood KDCBT558U. 8"s are in minimal enclosures(sealed) . this system is in a 2005 Ford f-250 Super Duty Crew Cab. Incredible sound. couldn't believe my ears. WOW!! the REX8D4's feel and sound like more expensive 10"s. i HIGHLY recommend ALL these components, and will use them again on future installs...

Wonderful Subwoofer
I purchased a pair of these and put them in a .54 cubic foot enclosure. They sound great together. They perform way better than many of their more expensive competitors.

Exceeded expectations
More than enough power to feed my truck. I like the remote bass adjustment that's mounted up under the dash for quick adjustment on the fly.

decent
I installed two of these subs in my single cab truck. they were in a .46 cubic ft sealed box and produced some decent lows. some of my friends even thought I had a 12 in there. the only downside for me was the terminals. im just more of a fan of the push terminals, that's all.

excellent for the $$$
I have 3 of these in a custom closed box with a Rockford T600-2 pushing them and they're vibrating the heck out of my rear view mirror in my 03 Deville.

Big bang for the buck
I have this run in parallel on an MTX terminator amp. Gains about halfway and this little 8" hits harder than some 10s I've heard. I have it in a sealed box, which it's really not even designed for, and it still sounds great. Very clear, solid bass. And for $50, you really can't go wrong. It does tend to bark a bit at higher volumes, but I'm thinking that's me. I keep forgetting it's an 8".

Good product for the price
I was in need of a smaller pair of subs to fit under my truck seat, without giving up too much bass. These fit the bill quite well and had the dual voice coils which made it much easier to hook it up the way I wanted. I recommend these to anyone needing a good quality entry level sub woofer. I have had them for 6 months now and am still pleased with the punch they give me for the size

Bang for the buck
I have two of these on my golf cart each getting 225 watts. Each one is in a .35 cubic feet box and they sound amazing, better than I'd hoped especially in an open air environment. I could imaging how these would knock in a SUV, hatchback, etc.

best bang for buck
I have 2 in the back storage compartment of 2005 Tundra DC and the sound like 2 10 inch subs. If you are on a budget and want some serious bass then buy a couple of these.

AWESOME
These subs are really impressive. Sound good worth modest powered amp but can handle lots of power. Sound great! Sound better than lot s of 10's put there.

RE Audio REX 8
50 bucks shipped for a quality 8" sub is a great deal. Like mentioned in earlier reviews, the speaker terminals are bargain basement slip on crimp connector type, but the value/output of these little monsters more than makes up for it!! I started off with 2 8's in a 1.2cube ported box (to around 34hz), then cut out where the port was and put in a 3rd 8. The output of the ported box(on 300 total watts) was a little more, but I like the solid/linear sound of the 3rd 8 in the now sealed box. With about 250 total watts to them.

Build Quality
I would not recommend this product. The build quality is absolutely terrible. The materials are cheap and the sub is poorly constructed. I bought three of these and put them in a sealed box and have them roughly 125watts each. The subs were stressed with that amount of power and I doubt they could handle 175watts. Within one month one of the subs started to rattled and I sourced the noise to the spider. The spider had come unglued from the sub cone. I re-glued all the spiders just to make sure it wouldn't happen again. Shortly after one of the other subs dust cap came unglued from the surround. Also the magnet covers fit loosely and look cheesy. The subs could really benefit from push terminals instead of quick disconnects. Once you solder your wires on it takes some maneuvering to get the subs in or out of the mounting hole. Overall i was very disappointed with the subs.

GREAT product!
These work also excellent in my home stereo, two of each in closed box driven by a Bob Carver subamp gave clean, powerful and low frequency output. Also really great value! Recommended!

Great sound from a little sub. Perfect amount of bass...not too much...not too little. I plan on buying another one. Definitely handles more than 175 RMS.

Problem Sub
I purchased 1 8" RE sub the first time. The sub ran well at first then i started hearing the sound of the voice coil going out. Then all of a sudden the sub stopped working. It did not even last over a month. So at this point i decided to purchase another one. Needless to say, the same thing happened. I didn't bother trying to exchange or return them and just took it as a loss. Power that I was running at the time was a 300 watt JL mono amp. I know that was not too much power for this subwoofer as well.

Good sub for the buck
Installed this 8" in a 4runner for my buddy; running of an RE XTX-500.5. Awsome woofer for the money sounds clean in a sealed enclosure. Only real complaint is the connectors for the voice coil. Would have been nice to see some push or twist connectors, but cant complain to much for the price.

Good DVC sub
First sub I bought. I loved it and had a RF pushing it @ 2 ohms. It was in a sealed box and delivered a good bump to my first system.
Pro: Nice sounding, DVC, easy to install, had good instructions with driver.
Con: Nothing

sweet sub for the cash
I have the re audio rexd8 in a single cab nissan hooked up to a 400w rms mono amp turned up all the way. The sub sounds awesome with little to no distortion. Sealed box is recommended. The only part of re audio i am disappointed in is their cheap connections for wires. Will be buying another rex8 sub for the other side.

Surprising for an 8
My first system consisted of an Re Audio REX10D4 and an REX8D4. The 10 was in a bass tube and the 8 was in the back quarter panel. I have upgraded since then but would like to write a review on my findings. Just recently I took a look at the bass tube... it turns out the 10 was tuned for 60hz. So my old system all the lows that I heard under 60 hz were being produced by this single 8. And let me tell you for an 8 with roughly 200 rms, which it handles that easy, this thing hits. My next system I will be improvising with a 5-channel amp allowing the sub channel to power this sub. And a mono channel for two 15s. Overall RE audio has changed my view on systems. For the price they will out beat kicker, alpine, and pioneer subs easy.

RE Audio ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!
These are some pretty impressive little Subwoofers. I have two of these in a dual ported box hooked up to a sony zzr3301 mono amp runing with jl audio c2 speakers in the front and alpine type s componants in the rear and my good what a blend of amazing sounds. this has been one of my cheapest and clearest budget builds ever all thanks to sonicelectronix as well. ps. my head unit is a dual 7" flipout dvdplayer and i got everything for under a grand.

Talk about bang for the buck...
I bought this sub for my wife's Pacifica. She wanted a little more low end but nothing that takes up as much room as my Punch 15. I put it in a 1 cubic foot box tuned to 30hz and it truly amazed me. It sounds so much better than the 15 (nearly as loud, plays way deeper) that I don't think the wife is getting this one back. I want to sell the 15 now and buy 4 more of these.
Definitely recommend. I'd recommend this at twice the price. Maybe the best sounding sub I've ever owned.

Amazing!
I bought this because it modeled well in a .5 cu ft box port tuned to 30hz, essentially to free up trunk space. Previously I had a 10" sub in a bandpass, and some old 15" JLs before that. I was shocked at the amount and quality of bass this little sub could put out! Sound quality is far superior to the bandpass, and its out put would make the old JLs blush! I was blown away and would never have believed a single 8" subwoofer was so capable.

Well over due review
Bought 8 of these and put them in the back of my 96 blazer in a 8ft3 box. Well maybe because I have 8 of them its loud...but it is offical on the mic. 153.2 Not to shabby for under 50 dollar speakers and 8s at that. Sonic got them delivered to my house fast.

WOW Must buy
Bought this subwoofer for a replacement for my Kenwood powered subwoofer box, never heard much about the brand name. Hooked it up and all I can say is wow it hits 20 times harder then the orignal subwoofer and the quality in my opinion is better then the Sony or Kicker brands, clean and powerful bass, for the price you can't beat it...love this brand now....thinking about ordering another subwoofer and a bigger amp to really see what they can do.....

RE Audio!!!
I have 2 of these in a ported box pushed by a mtx jackhammer600 amp giving them 400+ watts rms at 4 ohms. They are very nice and hit the mids like they were nothing! Soon i will install them in my rear deck with some dynomat. Excellent product

Awesome replacement sub!!!!
I have a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with the Infinity system with the sub mounted in the left rear quarter. The system sounded good but even with the sub didn't have a lot of bass. So I replaced the 8" factory sub with the REX8D4 and added the RE DTS500.2 amp. Let me tell you it made all the difference. It hits way harder than the stock sub. I never thought this 8" would hit like it does. It has a really low sound to it. I would recommend it to anyone. Sonic Electronix were very good to deal with and was able to answer any questions that I had.

Save your money and get a name brand sub
I read all the reviews and I figured I'd roll the dice on this sub. Complete waste of money. Save yourself the time and just order the Rockford or MTX. You can't get any real bass or volume out of this sub without it barking. In all reality, it's an 8" sub... So you really aren't going to get bone shaking bass. But you would at least expect some decent bass. Yeah, not from this thing. It might sound better in pairs, but I'll never know.

You get what you pay for.
These subs are made cheap and sounds cheap. Just spend a few dollars more and get a real sub.
