Amazing Sub, Worth Every Penny.
I have one of these subs in a ported box tuned to around 35 hertz on an 800 watt rms amp and it sounds perfect. It has great Sound Quality but it also has the SPL that a lot of people crave. Build quality is very good and this is a very attractive looking subwoofer, both cone side and motor side. Only slight negative is all the sanding i had to do to even get this sub in its box, because it didn't quite fit the standard hole. But overall an amazing sub. Highly recommend it.

Dude. These subs BUMP!!!
I was in the market for new subs and was looking to get a great quality sub for not a lot of scratch. I just want to say that these subs are by far THE BEST subs for the money. The subs are really responsive and bit much harder than my RF t1D412. I currently have 2 RE audio SEXv2-12 running 600RMS per sub off of a RF t1000-1bd and a PHAT car audio battery by xs-power. They are also mounted in a dual 2 Cu. Ft. box. Btw that's 4 Cu. Ft. total space. I really love my subs and recommend these subs to all my friends. I used to be a RF fan, but RE FTW!!!!!!!!!

High Output Sub!
This is a great budget sub, with a 3 inch voice coil and triple stacked magnet it's rated at 600rms and 1200max, I have the D2 version wired to 1 ohm on a 1200 watt amp and it POUNDS! Very impressive excursion and overall sound quality. Give it at least 600 true rms tho, power in equals power out. I tried running this beast on a RF 400 watt 1 channel amp and the amp overheated cuz it was too weak... Have had mine for 1 year with no problems, love it!

Best bag for your buck
Amazing sound and quality at an affordable price they sound tight and get nasty loud.. Had them power by a kenwood i forget the model but its the 1800 watt max and 900 rms at 2 ohms and they made my windshield flex and roof shake. hooked them up to a more powerful amp and not only could i hear the bass louder but I could feel it. They are also very responsive.. I Play some Flux pavilion and tech 9 along with some old school Celly Cel and old school songs with that lower bass lines. They never seem to miss a beat. The only thing I don't like about this subs is the plastic covers that hide the magnets. but other than that they are the best bang for your buck if you buy them here at sonic electronics.

Very nice
Had this sub for several months, sounds fantastic in a sealed box. Have it bridged into a Rockford t400 so it's only getting about 246watts. Handles much much more, hoping to upgrade my amp soon so I can push at least 600w into it. I would strongly recommend powering this sub with at least 400w. As previously mentioned it sounds fantastic in a sealed box, very deep and rich bass sound. However it doesn't rumble the car too much due to its box and low power source. Nonetheless I am completely satisfied and would recommend RE audio subs to anyone. On a side note, my friend has two alpine type r hooked to a 1000w amp. His definitely pounds harder but seems to have a limited range and doesn't puncture your ears with rich bass as my RE does. Again, I'm sure my sub could surpass my buddy's alpines in every aspect if I provide adequate power.

Awesome
This thing slams. I had a new type r hooked up to the same amp and it didnt hit as loud. I only have a 400 watt certified pioneer amp at the moment and my trunk flexes a little. I called sonic and the guy i talked to told me he had the same thing but the 10'' and he said he had either 1000 watt or a 1200 watt amp on his. I would definitely recommend.

Just installed this to my KAC_9106D amp and this sub takes every bit of the power supplied. From experience id take this over the alpine typeR and other big name competitors. Lows are great in the ported box. Made durable and long lasting. Great sub for a great price.

This thing is a monstrosity, i have one in a ported box on only 2 ohms at 500 rms but it is loud enough to demand respect but is nice and clean sounding also, i would highly recommend this subwoofer to anyone who may be interested, BUY ONE!

Deep and smooth
True love at first sight. The huge surround is just beautiful. I have it in 1.5' cu ft ported box with a crunch pz2500.1. Its plenty loud, even at 4 ohms. Another thing i love is its quick response, and its ability to nail those low notes. One thing i noticed with kicker and other cheap subs is that they sound like they fart in my trunk. This guy really sounds like studio bass. One thing to note any enclosure you use you will actually have to sand the rim because it wont fit!! Bought a box and took me about ten minutes to sand the box enough to get this monster to fit. after that inconvenience i fell in love. Sturdy build all around with easy push terminals and screw holes could not have made installation any easier. Planning on getting another one this summer and really turning up the volume.

RE
Whats not to say about this sub, its amazing i bought this like a week ago with the intentions of this sub blowing everything else outta the water and it did i have no competition with this sub. I figured i would have competition with my friends 12" jlw3s but i soon realized jl is not the best thing ever made and that the name was bigger than the sound by far the best subs ive had. I also have a hifonics hfi 1500 watt amp runnin at 2 ohms.

Great Sub
I've had this sub for just a few days now. I got it here on Sonic for $125 with free shipping. Fantastic deal. Shipped quick as well. I have an Autotek MM1600 powering it in with 800 watts rms. It's in a 1.86 cubic foot ported box. This thing is definitely a beast for the money. I previously had a 12" Kicker L7, which was louder, but also rated with more power, in a bigger box and also cost more. Very satisfied with this sub.

Brutal
I got 2 of these subs running on a Hifonics amp at 2 ohms getting 1100 watts rms which is underpowering them by 50 watts a peice and let me tell you, I thought my trunk was gonna break off. These subs are clear and have some nice excursion. I pulled into a underground parking garage the 1st day i got them and had people covering their ears and giving dirty looks and all i could do is smile :) haha. Overall i would recommenced these subs, wish i could of got the 15's but dont have room for them. But these 12's already pound your chest and make it hard to breath sometimes so im a happy customer.

Very pleased!
I have this sub paired with a RE Audio XTX 1500.1 in a sealed custome fiberglass box. It sounds amazing! have great deep lows that everyone loves when they ride with me, and when I want to turn it up real loud, it keeps performing. Even showing it off, you can see crazy flex, and it can do it all day. I am upgrading to a NVX 15in only because I'm ready to go back to competing, but I like this RE so much that instead of selling it I will build up a box and use it for my rooms sound system.

best sub hands down for the price (screw kicker)
i have one of these on a RE audio amp and it is the cleanest bass ive heard from a car ever. when you turn up the volume, you cant hear yourself talk and its like a kickboxer is using your chest as a punching bag. its in a ported box tuned to 35 hz and i think i have about 500 watts rms running to it.

JAW DROPPING
Hands down THE BEST subwoofer you can buy in its price range. This is the truth. There's nothing bad you can say about this subwoofer after hearing it.
Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: Nothing
Tips:
Prepare to smile.
You'd want to run one of this with a 1.5 cu.ft. box or higher. Nothing lower unless you like very very tight bass.

Incredible
I have one like this in my maxima and this sub is awsome, you could easily give them more then 600w rms and the quality is also there. so if you want something that hit hard but also have a nice sound quality you should go with RE Audio

Great sub for the price
This is a great sub for the price. I have it hooked to a Rockford 500.1 bd rated at 700 rms and 2032 peak. 100 watts more than the sub is rated for and it doesn't even phase it. I have it in a 1.90 cu. ft. Box with a 4" port tuned to 31 hz and it beats harder than some pairs of twelves I've owned. Cant go wrong at this price.

Forget the JL's
The SEX12 are great. I replaced 3 JL10W6 and did not think these could add that much more, but trust me these pound and take those those three 10's and put a spanking on them. I have them in a sealed box at 1.5 each in my tundra. I have a JL 1000/1 amp on them and am happy with the set up. They sound great with hip hop and also with classic rock. Overall perfect for my needs.

SLAPPER!!!
Prior to knowing how many watts MAX this sub could handle, I had it wired to 4-Ohms to my Hifonics Brutus BX1605D (550w RMS) to keep it on the safe side. Well, after looking at the box it came in, it stated that the sub was able to handle up to 2000w MAX...so I quickly re-wired my sub to 1-Ohm to push it at 1600w. Since it is still new, I am keeping the volume to moderate levels
Once broken in (few more days), I will put it to the test. But for now, this sub friggin' KNOCKS! It can hit the lows like nobody's business.
Here is my setup and I couldn't be more satisified with it:
Battery: Stinger SP1500D
Big 3 (all 4ga) / Stinger 150 Amp ANL Fuse
Hifonics Brutus BX1605D (wired to 1 Ohm)
Custom Sealed Enclosure @ 1.5 cubic ft
Alternator: Stock 90 amp
Lights do not dim at all!
This setup is frickin awesome!! No matter what other people might say, this subwoofer sounds EXCELLENT in a sealed enclosure! This sub was well worth the money! Don't wait, buy it now!!

I love this subwoofer. I wasn't, and still aren't, quite too familiar with the RE Audio brand. I have been an avid Memphis Audio lover, but this sub blew me away. It has exceeded all expectations, and paired with the Kicker 500.1 and a 1 Farad capacitor it delivers on every level. Extrememly satisfied with this product, can't wait to order my next RE Audio sub!

Great sub!
I have owned many RE speakers and subs in the past. Great product and you can't beat the price. I blew my RE SRX 12 that I had for almost 3 years. I decided to upgrade and cranked up the amp a little more now. The sub is in a ~1.2cu/ft seal box with about 350 watts/rms and man this thing sounds great and responses pretty good too. If you are looking at the SRX sub, think about this SEX model. All I did was change the sub out and kept the same enclosure and amp and it sound a lot better for only a little more money.

I have one of these in an ext cab silverado and it slams! I had two 10in. CVRs in a sealed box and they didnt do the justice. After I sold them, I purchased one of these and out performs my tens in every way. The magnet was so huge I had to remove the dust cover. I have it running on a Planet Audio at 1ohm 900w rms and its still not enought power!!! Recommend to anyone looking for real bass.

Not only they can handle a lot of power and sound so clean at the same time best sub yet. These subs can really hit the low notes if you tune the box right. All i can say is best sub and pound so hard makes every thing flex in my 1994 Camaro. haha

WOW!
I have had 1 of these in a custom built vented enclosure for about a year now. I am actually over powering it slightly as I have it bridged to a 1500W mono block amp and it takes the power with no problem. There is so much pressure from this thing that I have had to re-seal my back glass and replace my back speakers(the force from the sub unseated the cones). I am getting ready to buy another and another amp to push it. You simply can't beat the performance for the price. On a side note, this thing hits harder than my buddy's 3 kicker 10s and sounds better too.

awesome sub
So I really had not heard of RE audio until I was looking for a sub. Decided to try one based on the reviews I had read. I could not be happier with the sub. I have had Polk and Kicker and Pioneer subs before and can say this sub out performs them and with great value. I am a fan of RE subs. Looking forward to trying some more of there products.

Good subs
Good subs, be careful not to clip them though the tinsels are very weak. They will handle 1000w clean power no problem. My box is 31hz and they hit lows like crazy. They have very weak upper range though, dont hit very hard above 50hz.

awesome!
Best sub for the money! I've done installs for years, and have had many subs in my lifetime. I'm not usually one to write a review, but these subs are legitly worth talking about. i couldnt be happier with the amount of sound i get out of one. most people think i have two or even three and are suprised at the one in the trunk. i would recommend this to anyone and everyone. note: i am pushing 1000watts rms to it at one ohm.

Very good subwoofer at a good price
The subwoofer is rated at 600 watts rms, and I have read that it handles more than that with ease and I'm not surprised. I have 500 watts going to it and it could probably use more, but it still sounds good.
It is not the best for low bass, but I am not majorly concerned with that. It hits hard and has a good clean bass sound, good for rock type music.
I would recommend this subwoofer, it is a good quality sub with good quality sound and is not a bad price.

Best Bang For The Buck!
I recently just put two of these bad boys in my 06 chevy silverado single cab, and oh my God they slam! The best thing about them is that they sound so clean yet still have the capabilitiy to pound HARD! I have both of them at four ohms running parralell to 1 kicker zx1000.1. in a sealed box with with 1.3 cu ft. for each sub and they sound pheonomenal! Gut wrenching lows with tight mid and high notes! I would highly reccomend this brand and series for all you bass heads that are on a budget!!!

Excellent Choice!!!!!
I purchased two of these a few months ago and now here comes the review. When I bought them there were only 2 reviews, now a bit more. I replaced some Polks that fried. I was really going to buy a set of Rockford P3’s which a guy at work recommended for about the same price as these. I spoke with another guy about the P3’s or these puppies and he said hands down get the RE SE audio’s, he swore by them. I do not consider myself a car audio expert, but not a novice either. I am very particular about the quality of the music I listen to – if it does not sound good I will not listen to it. All I can say is these speakers sound awesome! My system consist of a MTX JH600 amp, an Infinity kappa 4, Infinity kappa coax 6x9 in rear and 6.5 Infinity components in the front (all power wiring is 4 gauge). When I bought them Sonic just picked up this line so I knew nothing about them. Two of the Sonic reps out of three recommended these over RF and the one that did not listens to bluegrass – and said for rock these are the ones to get. What truly amazes me about these is their efficiency. All of the subs that I have had before these I would have to turn down the bass knob on my amp when I turned up the volume. With these once I set the bass they sound perfect at any volume. What sold me I guess was their saying “Built for Brutality” - and yes they are. My whole car shakes! Oh yeah (not mocking RF – I know they are good as well), the guy who told me to buy the P3’s came by to listen to the RE SE Audio’s and said he would buy these over the P3’s in a heartbeat! Get them if you like high end quality sound at rock bottom prices. I think Sonic could sell them for 250.0 each, I got them for 150.00 – get them before they hike up the price!

Great purchase
These subs are amazing. I have an 01 f150 that I use to have four Kicker twelves. I bought two of these and they our perform all four kickers and take up less room. I have a 1501d mtx amp so I have plenty of power. They are LOUD. You have been warned these subs will get you pulled over or beaten up haha. I love them. Two flaws I have with them. 1. The housing that. Supports the cone was so big i had to sand the holes of the box I got to fit them in. 2 they don't like higher freq. Mostly 50+. They are big heavy and built for brutality. Overall an amazing sub with a rice and performance type R's can't keep up with or mostly anyone else.

I saw some information on RE subs. I bought 2 of these and did not change any settings on the amp running these at 2 ohms and they BEAT SOOOO HARD. Terrific Sub
Recieved this sub from Sonic Electronix last week and have since been breaking it in. I have it bridged on a t400 rockford amp and it sounds very nice. Keep in mind I'm putting about 245rms on it. Eventually ill look into another larger amp but 240 rms is fine enough for now.
This sub sounds great in a sealed box and hits bass frequency with great clarity. I'm extremely happy I went with this sub after all my research. This was a great buy, could not find the sub cheaper anywhere else.
